This is a story about students of Welton academy wich was founded in 1859. It was the best prepairing school in US. Teachers pay a lot of attention to tradition and discipline in Welton. All efforts were concentrated on science, even literature were teaching as a science. But a new eccentric teacher, John Keating, appeared in this school. He encouraged the boys to study literature. Boys found out that mr. Keating was member of "dead poets society" and made the same one.
They were directed with words "Carpe diem". The story ends tragecaly. One of the boys Neil Perry who found of dramma, killed himself, because his father forbade him to took part in plays. And mr. Keating was fired, because one of his students had betraited him by saying to the headmaster that Neil had shot himself because of the teacher.
