The 2009 SmashTV Awards aired live on MTV and Cartoon Network on March 27 2009 at the Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida. Dwayne Johnson hosted the ceremony. It would be the final ceremony to air on Cartoon Network, as the deal between SmashTV and Cartoon Network would expire after 2009 as part of a 10 year deal that started in 1999.
