This is just for ideas about what 42 could have meant (I know Adams said it meant nothing but he could have been lying. Anyway, this wikiscratch-thing is just to answer the question "If 42 really was the Ultimate Answer, what would the Question be?" with as many different answers as possible)

To start things off, here's one which Wikipedia said was 'not notable enough'. However I think it is greatly interesting. If a=1 b=2 ... z=26 then D. Adams = 4+1+4+1+13+19 = 42!!!
