A Little Princess is a 1995 Musical Drama Fantasy Comedy Film directed by Stanley Donen, written for the screen by Adolph Green and Betty Comden, based on the Story by Richard LaGravenese and Elizabeth Chandler and the Book of the same title by Frances Hodgson Burnett, starring Liesel Matthews, Eleanor Bron, Liam Cunningham, Vanessa Lee Chester and Gene Kelly, (in his final film role).

With the outstanding Promotion by Warner Brothers. The film made back more than half its budget, making it a Box Office Smash-Hit. It was also critically acclaimed and won various awards, such as two Academy Awards for its significant achievements in Art Direction, Esemble Cast (tying with Babe) and Cinematography, among other aspects of its production.




The Film was both a Critical and Financial Success; based on more than 100 reviews. As of 2012, it holds a Rare 10% 'Fresh' rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with the consensus, "Stanley Donen adapts Frances Hodgson Burnett's Novel with a keen sense of Magic Realism, vividly recreating the world of childhood as seen through the characters, Upbeat, Heart-warming, Hilarious and Beautiful Songs and such Slapstick Comedy that's very enjoyable for everyone."
