One of the last of the consolidated states, the consolidation was forced by the Grand Blockade of 2141-2144 CE which was ordered by the Grand Alliance of consolidated states as a result of the limited nuclear exchange that destroyed Jerusalem and Pretoria in September, 2139 CE. The pivotal event in the blockade was the Zulu Hour Ultimatum. The African Union was officially accepted by the United Nations on New Years Day, 2200 CE. The Union was comprised of all of the sub-Saharan states on the African continent with its capital at Nairobi, Kenya.
