Ankles

From Scratchpad

Ankles, as played in Miami Of Ohio

Ankles is a non-improv game where contestants lower their pants around their ankles. The first to become embarrassed by the situation loses. Ankles was independently created by Benji "Hallway" Milanowski in high school in order to learn to not be shamed or embarrassed by his actions to garner laughs.

[edit] Naming

When the game was originally created it did not have a name and was simply referred to being pantsless. During an episode of Scrubs the game was featured and was referred to as "Ankles". Benji has adopted the name from Scrubs. He also quotes the Scrubs definition of the game when explaining the game.

"Ankles is a simple game really. The first person to become embarrassed and pull their pants up from their ankles loses." Dr. Chris Turk, Scrubs

[edit] Occurrences

Ankles' themed cards are frequently featured in the game, 1000 Blank White Cards. It is sometimes played during practice for the Ship of Fools. During several parties where Fools were attending bouts of ankles have been known to occur. While ankles is frequently played by Fools it has yet to be played during an actual Purdue Improv Club meeting or performance by the Ship of Fools.
