Applebee's serves a classic mixture of bar and appetizer foods. Some notable menu items are:

Applebee's used to offer a "Happy Hour" period on Friday nights, wherein appetizers would be half price. The Fools frequently took advantage of this after meetings, with large groups ordering nothing but appetizers and beverages. However, Happy Hour only began at 9 pm, so Fools would often intentionally delay ordering food in order to get the discount. In the most extreme case, this involved waiting a full hour before ordering anything but beverages.
Applebee's eventually discontinued Happy Hour. Although there is no hard evidence to confirm it, it is widely believed among the Fools that antics such as these are the reason.
