Paolo Breaks The Rules[]

  • Michael Brandon: Ash and Paolo the Cat are friends. Paolo is the pride of Fluffy Gardens. Paolo knows all the rules and obeys them. One day, Steven brought Ken of the Pokemon Mystery Club to Fluffy Gardens.
  • Steven: I need Ken to help for a while. Paolo please show him around.
  • Paolo: Yes.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Polo unhappily. He knew that Ken could be trouble. Later, Ken was being careless.
  • Paolo: Not like that!
  • Michael Brandon: Snapped Paolo.
  • Paolo: Do it right.
  • Ken: Don't interfere.
  • Michael Brandon: Sneered Ken.
  • Paolo: You don't know the rules!
  • Michael Brandon: Shouted Paolo. Ken was very annoyed with Paolo and started plotting a devious plan. Later that day, he pretended to have news for Paolo.
  • Ken: Steven wants you to work at the smelters.
  • Paolo: Me? But I'm the pride of Fluffy Gardens.
  • Ken: Not anymore. Steven says I'm better than you. So I'm going to stay here.
  • Paolo: It's not fair. I love working here.
  • Michael Brandon: But he knew that really useful characters have to do as they are told.
  • Ken: (laughs maniacally)
  • Michael Brandon: Paolo and his driver arrived at the smelters.
  • Paolo: I wanna go back to Fluffy Gardens.
  • Michael Brandon: Wailed Paolo.
  • Paolo: None of the other engines like coming here it's so scary.
  • Paolo's Driver: You're right.
  • Michael Brandon: Said his driver. Just then, the Koopalings arrived.
  • Morton and Roy: Hello, are you happy to be here?
  • Paolo: No!
  • Michael Brandon: Cried Paolo. His driver was scared too.
  • Paolo's Driver: Come on, Paolo, we're going to escape.
  • Michael Brandon: And for the first time, Paolo broke the rules. Steven was enjoying a tasty fish supper when he heard that Paolo was missing.
  • Steven: That's not like Paolo. There must be something wrong. I will send Ash to look for him.
  • Michael Brandon: Paolo and his driver turn onto an unused track to find a place to hide. Paolo was frightened, so was Ash. He puffed up and down the line. He couldn't see Paolo anywhere.
  • Ash's Driver: We could search the old mine track.
  • Michael Brandon: Said his driver.
  • Ash: That line is dark and spooky.
  • Michael Brandon: Whispered Ash. But he had to be brave and find Paolo. Paolo was on a siding. His fire had gone out. Then, he heard a sound.
  • Paolo: It's a trainer!
  • Michael Brandon: He cried.
  • Ash: Paolo.
  • Michael Brandon: Whistled Ash.
  • Ash: Whatever are you doing out here?
  • Paolo: Hiding. Don't wanna work at the smelters. Steven is going to be cross with me.
  • Ash: He's not.
  • Michael Brandon: Cried Ash.
  • Ash: He's worried about you.
  • Paolo: Really?
  • Ash: Of course.
  • Michael Brandon: Puffed Ash. Paolo felt better. Ash pulled Paolo all the way to the smelters yard where he knew Steven was waiting.
  • Steven: Paolo, explain yourself.
  • Paolo: I ran away. It's scary here.
  • Ash: Ken told Paolo that he wanted him at the smelters forever.
  • Steven: Nonsense, Paolo, you are the pride of Fluffy Gardens. I shall send Ken to the smelters and you can go back to Fluffy Gardens tomorrow.
  • Paolo: Oh, thank you, sir.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Paolo happily. Paolo knew he had a good friend in Ash and he was still the pride of Fluffy Gardens.

Bad Day At Castle Loch[]

  • Michael Brandon: It was a beautiful day on the land of YTV. Ozzy and Drix are cells. They enjoy working on Steven's railway. But sometimes, they longed for Scotland, their old home. One day, Steven called them to the docks.
  • Steven: Lord Callan's castle was finally reopening. There is to be a grand celebration tomorrow. I need you to take the banners, buntings and bagpipes to the castle. Captain Planet, you must load them straight away.
  • Planet: Yes, sir.
  • Michael Brandon: Chuffed Planet. The cells were excited. Going to Lord Callan's castle would be like going home again. Soon, Planet had finished loading the freight.
  • Alex: Where are you going?
  • Michael Brandon: Asked Alex.
  • Ozzy: Lord Callan's castle.
  • Michael Brandon: Ozzy proudly announced.
  • Billy: By Castle Loch.
  • Alex: I'm glad I'm not going to Castle Loch.
  • Michael Brandon: Wheeshed Alex nervously.
  • Drix: Scared the monster might get ya.
  • Michael Brandon: Teased Drix.
  • Ozzy: You might.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Ozzy.
  • Drix: There's no monster.
  • Ozzy: There is too.
  • Drix: There is not.
  • Ozzy: It's too.
  • Drix: It's not.
  • Ozzy: It's too.
  • Michael Brandon: Lord Callan's castle is in Misty Valley. Ozzy and Drix were determined to get the important goods to the castle in time. They puffed proudly along the loch towards their destination.
  • Ozzy: There it is!
  • Michael Brandon: Cried Ozzy.
  • Drix: We're almost there!
  • Michael Brandon: Shouted Drix. But there was trouble ahead, trees had fallen across the line. Ozzy and Drix stopped just in time. Then, suddenly, there was a loud crash. The break van had been hit by the landslide and come off the rails. They were stuck.
  • Ozzy's Driver: We could take the causeway.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Ozzy's Driver. Drix's Driver knew the causeway was old and rickety.
  • Drix's Driver: It's too dangerous.
  • Michael Brandon: He said. The cells were worried.
  • Ozzy: We'll never get to the castle now.
  • Michael Brandon: Chuffed Ozzy.
  • Ozzy's Driver: I'll call for help.
  • Tailor: Splendid outfit, sir.
  • Michael Brandon: Steven was trying on his present for Lord Callan when he heard the news.
  • Steven: Ozzy and Drix trapped by the loch?
  • Michael Brandon: He said.
  • Steven: I'll send help as soon as I can.
  • Michael Brandon: But the hours passed. It grew dark and cold and still no help had come. Suddenly, the cells spotted something strange through the mist.
  • Ozzy: What's that!?
  • Michael Brandon: Called Ozzy.
  • Drix: Is it the monster!?
  • Michael Brandon: Cried Drix.
  • Ozzy: For sure it is.
  • Michael Brandon: Answered Ozzy.
  • Planet: It's not a monster, it's us.
  • Michael Brandon: It was Planet and the breakdown crane. Ozzy and Drix were relieved. By morning, the lines were cleared. Ozzy and Drix hurried off to the castle. Lord Callan's workers were waiting to unload the Beedrill. Soon, the castle was decorated. The grand opening was a great success. Lord Callan was pleased.
  • Lord Callan: A splendid pair of characters.
  • Steven: And very useful.
  • Michael Brandon: Added Steven.
  • Ozzy and Drix: Och aye!
  • Michael Brandon: Agreed the cells.

Jackie's Windmill[]

  • Michael Brandon: There are many beautiful places on the land of YTV. The characters loved the pretty watermill, the peaceful canals and the castle on the lake. Jackie's favorite place is the old windmill. The windmill is worn, it cannot make much flower now. Jackie loves to watch the sails go around. And the miller is his friend.
  • Miller: Good morning, Jackie.
  • Michael Brandon: One day, Jackie was collecting a load of flour to take to the market. But he was busy watching the windmill sails, that he forgot to look where he was going. All the flour was ruined and the miller was upset.
  • Miller: If I can't sell my flour I'll have to shut down the windmill.
  • Jackie: I'm sorry.
  • Michael Brandon: Sighed Jackie. Captain Planet arrived to put the trucks back onto the tracks. Jackie was sad.
  • Jackie: What will the miller do if the mill shuts down?
  • Jackie's Driver: It's a shame.
  • Michael Brandon: Said his driver.
  • Jackie's Driver: But we must hurry, Jackie, there's a storm on the way.
  • Michael Brandon: Jackie couldn't sleep that night. It wasn't the thunder and lightning that kept them awake. He was still worrying about the miller. That stormy night, the old windmill was struck by lightning. The next morning, Jackie chuffed carefully along his branch line. The storm had torn trees from the ground and the farm buildings have been damaged. Then, Jackie saw the most shocking sight of all.
  • Jackie: The windmill is broken!
  • Michael Brandon: He cried.
  • Miller: This means the end of my business.
  • Michael Brandon: Said the miller sadly.
  • Miller: I can't afford the timbers to make the repairs.
  • Michael Brandon: Jackie really wanted to help.
  • Jackie: There must be a way.
  • Michael Brandon: Suddenly, his driver saw a fallen tree ahead. Planet and Freakazoid were clearing the track. Steven was cross.
  • Steven: This storm has caused confusion and delay. Remove this tree immediately!
  • Michael Brandon: But Jackie had an idea.
  • Jackie: Please sir. The windmill has been broken. The wood from this tree can mend it and make it work again.
  • Steven: A splendid idea.
  • Michael Brandon: Agreed Steven. Jackie proudly took the tree to the miller. The miller was delighted.
  • Miller: Now we can build our windmill back up again. It would be good as new.
  • Michael Brandon: Jackie watched as the work began. It took a long time, but as last the windmill was completed. Steven was most impressed. The miller was grateful.
  • Miller: Thank you, Jackie, your idea saved my windmill.
  • Michael Brandon: Jackie beamed happily. Now the windmill produces more flour than ever before and Jackie makes twice as many deliveries to the market. He never tires of watching the sails go around and he is very proud that the miller now calls it: Jackie's Windmill.

The Runaway Donphan[]

  • Michael Brandon: The characters on the land of YTV were excited. A new park was being built. Everyone was working hard to get the job finished on time. Buzz was feeling impatient.
  • Buzz: Get a move on slow coach.
  • Michael Brandon: He puffed crossly to Casey.
  • Buzz: You're so slow I finished first.
  • Michael Brandon: Buzz boasted to Rikochet. Rikochet was cross. A little later, he met Casey at the new park station.
  • Rikochet: Buzz thinks he's fast.
  • Michael Brandon: Buzz steamed.
  • Buzz: But he's just a bossy boiler.
  • Casey: Better safe and fast.
  • Michael Brandon: Casey agreed. Buzz drove into the station. He was all puffed up and pleased with himself.
  • Buzz: I've finished first.
  • Michael Brandon: He wheeshed proudly.
  • Steven: In that case.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Steven.
  • Steven: I got another job for you. You are to collect the elephant from the sidings and take it to the park.
  • Buzz: Yes, sir!
  • Michael Brandon: Chuffed Buzz.
  • Steven: This elephant is very important. You must be very careful.
  • Michael Brandon: When Buzz saw the elephant, he was surprised.
  • Buzz: Why it's only a statue.
  • Michael Brandon: He said.
  • Buzz: This is an easy job.
  • Stationmaster: You must wait for the brakevan.
  • Michael Brandon: Said the stationmaster.
  • Stationmaster: The statue is very heavy.
  • Buzz: Nonsense.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Buzz to his driver.
  • Buzz: I pushed heavier loads than this plenty of time.
  • Buzz's Driver: Let's go, Buzz.
  • Michael Brandon: Said his driver.
  • Buzz's Driver: But we must be careful.
  • Michael Brandon: So they left, but without the brakevan. But Buzz wasn't careful. He was impatient.
  • Buzz: We'll show them how fast I can be.
  • Michael Brandon: Buzz whistled.
  • Buzz: We'll deliver this statue and I'll still finish first.
  • Michael Brandon: Buzz started to speed up. Soon, Buzz was going as fast as his wheels could carry him. His driver was starting to worry. So he tried to brake. But Buzz was out of control. He was scared. He had never gone this fast. People waved and cars tooted as Buzz sped by. Suddenly, a tractor trundled across Buzz's line.
  • Buzz's Driver: Look out!
  • Michael Brandon: Shouted his driver.
  • Casey: Slow down, slow down!
  • Michael Brandon: Whistled Casey.
  • Buzz: I can't!
  • Michael Brandon: Buzz cried as he shot past.
  • Buzz: Whoa!
  • Michael Brandon: Elephant park loomed ahead. Buzz's driver applied the brakes, but it was too late. The statue flew into the air and landed in the lake. Luckily, nobody was hurt. In no time, Steven arrived. He was cross.
  • Steven: I told you to be careful. You shouldn't waited for the brakevan.
  • Michael Brandon: He said sternly.
  • Buzz: I'm sorry, Sir.
  • Michael Brandon: Mumbled Buzz. He felt very embarrassed. Buzz was repaired again in time for the grand opening. He was still surprised to see the elephant standing in the lake.
  • Wilhelmina: Everyone loves the elephant in the lake.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Wilhelmina.
  • Steven: Even if it was a mistake.
  • Michael Brandon: Added Steven.
  • Characters: Hooray for Buzz's mistake!
  • Michael Brandon: Cheered the characters. Buzz blushed and went a deep shade red.

Raimundo and The Queen of The Temple[]

  • Michael Brandon: The characters on the land of YTV want to be responsible, reliable, and really useful. They are happiest when Steven gives important work to do. Raimundo thinks his work is very important indeed. He is proud of his shiny red paint and likes to look clean and smart. One day, Alex puffed to the washdown.
  • Alex: My whistle's clogged.
  • Michael Brandon: He tried to blow hard to clean it out, but instead blew mud all over Terry.
  • Terry: Silly!
  • Michael Brandon: Huffed Terry. Alex was trying not to laugh.
  • Raimundo: Keep your dirt away for me. I'm collecting the mayor today.
  • Terry: I should do that.
  • Raimundo: Really!
  • Michael Brandon: Chuckled Raimundo.
  • Raimundo: You'd need a washdown first.
  • Terry: Pah!
  • Michael Brandon: Snorted Terry. Raimundo just laughed. Soon, Raimundo had collected the mayor and puffed proudly away.
  • Raimundo: Just look at me, Terry!
  • Terry: Show off!
  • Michael Brandon: Muttered Terry. Steven came to the sheds.
  • Steven: I need a character to collect the queen of the temple.
  • Ash: Who's the queen of the temple?
  • Steven: A leaky old barge.
  • Michael Brandon: Replied Steven.
  • Steven: She needs to go to the workshops. It's dirty work I'm afraid.
  • Michael Brandon: Just then, Raimundo shunted into the sheds. This gave Terry an idea.
  • Terry: Is collecting the queen of the temple important work too?
  • Steven: Very important work. Do I have a volunteer?
  • Raimundo: Very important work!
  • Michael Brandon: Exclaimed Raimundo.
  • Raimundo: I'll do it!
  • Steven: Then it settled. She's waiting at the canal.
  • Raimundo: Thank you, Sir.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Raimundo. Terry was delighted. His plan was working.
  • Raimundo: I'm here to collect the queen of the temple!
  • Michael Brandon: Announced Raimundo.
  • Yard Manager: There she is.
  • Michael Brandon: The yard manager said. Raimundo was furious.
  • Raimundo: That slimy old tub! Terry tricked me, he wants me to get dirty. I'll show him. A shiny character like me never gets dirty.
  • Michael Brandon: Soon Raimundo set off with the queen of the temple. It was a long journey to the workshops.
  • Raimundo: Shiny and clean, shiny and clean.
  • Michael Brandon: Puffed Raimundo. Then there was trouble. The tall funnel of the old barge crashed through a pipe. Raimundo was sure he'd get covered in sludge. But he didn't.
  • Raimundo: Shiny and clean, shiny and clean.
  • Michael Brandon: He declared again. The workmen soon cleared the mess and then Raimundo was on his way. He arrived safe and sound and pleased that the dirty work was done. When Raimundo returned to the sheds, he was very proud of himself.
  • Terry: How did you manage to stay so clean?
  • Raimundo: I had to stay clean.
  • Michael Brandon: Boasted Raimundo.
  • Raimundo: In case there's important work to do.
  • Michael Brandon: Just then, Alex returned from the quarry.
  • Alex: My whistle is clogged again. Watch out, Raimundo.
  • Michael Brandon: Gust went everywhere.
  • Alex: I did warn you.
  • Ash: You'll need a washdown now.
  • Michael Brandon: Teased Ash.
  • Raimundo: Good.
  • Michael Brandon: Snorted Raimundo.
  • Raimundo: It will make me reddier than ever. I'm such a splendid character.
  • Others: (groaning)

Snow Teen[]

  • Michael Brandon: Richie and Virgil are a pair of teenagers. They delivered goods and passengers when the roads are closed by deep snow. But Richie thinks snow was messy and cold.
  • Richie: I'm a teenager.
  • Michael Brandon: He chuffed one day.
  • Richie: I shouldn't have to shiver.
  • Peter: Begging your pardon, Mr. Richie?
  • Michael Brandon: Whispered Peter.
  • Peter: But I think snow is splendid.
  • Richie: Huh.
  • Michael Brandon: Later, Richie saw some children building a giant snowman for their winter festival. Each time, Richie passed by the snowman grew bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger.
  • Peter: Just an obviation, Mr. Richie, snow is magical.
  • Richie: Oh.
  • Michael Brandon: Finally, the snowman was complete. Richie chuffed back to his warm cozy shed. Steven was waiting for him.
  • Steven: You have to return to the mountain village.
  • Michael Brandon: He said.
  • Steven: Some goods are needed for the festival.
  • Richie: But all this snow makes my feet feel chilly.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Really useful characters work hard whenever the weather.
  • Michael Brandon: Soon, Richie was loaded and on his way. The snow was cold. It had frozen the points and diverted Richie into the station sidings.
  • Richie: Whoa, shiver my boiler!
  • Michael Brandon: Cried Richie. His driver applied the brakes.
  • Peter: Is there a problem, Mr. Richie?
  • Richie: Yeah, there is! Whoa!
  • Peter: That could been a little smoother.
  • Michael Brandon: Peter felt awful. He thought the children would be upset about their snowman. Peter's driver went for help. Steven was just leaving his office when he got the call.
  • Steven: Virgil will bring the breakdown crane first thing in the morning.
  • Michael Brandon: He said. Richie's driver returned and told him the news.
  • Richie: I'll be out here all night.
  • Michael Brandon: Moaned Richie.
  • Driver: I'm afraid so.
  • Michael Brandon: Luckily, the village inn had a toasty warm room for Richie's driver. But Richie was getting colder and colder. His fire had gone out and his funnel was covered in icicles.
  • Richie: I was right all along. There's nothing magical about snow.
  • Michael Brandon: Peter was beginning to think Richie might be right.
  • Peter: Brrr!
  • Michael Brandon: Next morning the children saw the situation.
  • Girl: Look.
  • Michael Brandon: A little girl shouted.
  • Girl: Our snowman has eyes in his tummy.
  • Boy: No it doesn't.
  • Michael Brandon: Laughed a little boy.
  • Boy: It's Richie.
  • Michael Brandon: That gave the children an idea. When Richie woke up he was surrounded by happy children.
  • Children: Richie's a wonderful snow teen!
  • Michael Brandon: They cried. Richie was so relief that suddenly he didn't feel any cold anymore. When Virgil arrived with the breakdown crane, Richie didn't want to leave. He loved the winter festival so much.
  • Richie: You were right, Peter.
  • Michael Brandon: Richie called.
  • Richie: There are some magical things about snow.
  • Peter: Perhaps, Mr. Richie.
  • Michael Brandon: Shivered Peter.
  • Richie: Absolutely.

Not So Hasty Cakes[]

  • Michael Brandon: It was Christmas time on the land of YTV, and Steven's characters were busy. The snow made their journeys difficult. They had to work hard to deliver passengers and goods to their destinations of time. This made the characters feel very reliable. Malinda pulled into the fitters yard with Ash's snowplough.
  • Ash: I don't need that silly old thing.
  • Michael Brandon: Huffed Ash.
  • Malinda: Stuff and nonsense.
  • Michael Brandon: Steamed Malinda.
  • Malinda: You can't be a reliable trainer if you can't get through the snow.
  • Michael Brandon: That made Ash cross.
  • Ash: You know I'm reliable. I just don't like my snowplough. Malinda is rude.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash chuffed.
  • Ash: And this snowplough makes my buffers ache.
  • Michael Brandon: Later, Ash saw Steven talking to Malinda.
  • Steven: The YTV Cake Factory is snowed in. Their Christmas cakes must get to the docks before the ship sails for the mainland.
  • Ash: Let me do the job.
  • Steven: I need you on your line, Ash. Besides, Malinda knows those roads well. She's very reliable.
  • Ash: I'm reliable too.
  • Michael Brandon: Huffed Ash.
  • Malinda: Apparently not reliable enough.
  • Michael Brandon: Malinda chuffed. Now Ash was crosser still. The snow was heavy, but Ash arrived at every station right on time. Malinda was struggling to stay on the road. Her feet did not like the slippery ice at all. When Ash arrived at the docks to pick up Freakazoid, he was surprised that Malinda had not returned.
  • Dock Manager: The ship will miss the tide.
  • Michael Brandon: Said the dock manager.
  • Steven: And the children won't have their Christmas cakes. Ash, go and look for Malinda at once.
  • Ash: Yes sir.
  • Michael Brandon: Answered Ash.
  • Ash: Perhaps Malinda isn't so reliable after all.
  • Michael Brandon: He whispered. At the cake factory, Malinda was piled high with crates of Christmas cakes.
  • Malinda: Steven's counting on me. I mustn't be late.
  • Michael Brandon: She chuffed onto the icy road. Suddenly, she was on a steep hill. Her drive applied the brakes. Malinda slid out of control into a deep snowdrift. Poor Malinda. Ash and Freakazoid puffed through the swirling snow. They couldn't see Malinda anywhere. Soon, they spotted her driver. He was standing by the level crossing.
  • Malinda's Driver: Malinda is stuck under the snow.
  • Michael Brandon: Her driver explained.
  • Malinda's Driver: I need help to dig her out.
  • Michael Brandon: Freakazoid rescued her in no time.
  • Ash: We will have to hurry.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Ash.
  • Ash: It wasn't you fault, Malinda, it's the slippery roads.
  • Michael Brandon: Malinda felt much better. Ash chuffed and puffed as fast as he could. They reached the docks just in time. Steven was delighted to see the bakery crates and that Malinda was safe and well.
  • Steven: We'll get you unloaded immediately.
  • Ash: Now the children will have their Christmas cakes.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Ash.
  • Steven: Well done.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Steven.
  • Malinda: Oh, thank you, Ash.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Malinda.
  • Malinda: You and I are both reliable.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash agreed.
