Ash and The Statue

  • Michael Brandon: Ash and The Statue. Winter was coming to TV Land. The leaves have fallen from the trees and fog rolled over the countryside. One chilly morning, Steven came to Tidmouth Sheds. He had a special announcement to make.
  • Steven: A statue is to be put up at Peel Station.
  • Michael Brandon: He said.
  • Steven: It will celebrate the TV Land Railway.
  • Michael Brandon: The characters were very excited. Ash was to collect the statue from Brendam Docks.
  • Omi: I wonder what it will be?
  • Michael Brandon: Peeped Omi.
  • Ash: As soon as I find out.
  • Michael Brandon: Puffed Ash.
  • Ash: I'll come back and tell you.
  • Michael Brandon: And he steamed away. But when Ash arrived at the docks, Bowser was still unloading the statue.
  • Ash: Hurry up, Bowser.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Ash.
  • Ash: I wanna be the first to see it.
  • Michael Brandon: Bowser didn't like being rushed.
  • Bowser: Why are so excited to see the statue? You think it's gonna be of you?
  • Michael Brandon: He scuffed. Ash didn't say anything. He was too busy watching the workmen open the crate. The statue was covered by a large waterproof sheet. It had a very familiar look. There was a tall funnel shape at the front and then a wide shape at the back. The shape was just like Ash's shape. Suddenly, Ash was very excited.
  • Ash: Perhaps...
  • Michael Brandon: He whistled.
  • Ash: It really could be of me.
  • Michael Brandon: That night, Ash couldn't wait wait to tell the other characters about his statue. But when he arrived at the sheds, all the characters were asleep. Ash was too excited to sleep. He peeped his whistle to wake Omi up.
  • Ash: (whispering) Omi, Omi! I think this statue was of me.
  • Michael Brandon: Boasted Ash.
  • Omi: Really, Ash?
  • Michael Brandon: Yawned Omi.
  • Omi: (yawning) That's nice.
  • Ash: It will be wonderful to have my very own statue.
  • Michael Brandon: Tooted Ash. He couldn't wait for morning to come. The following day, Steven told the characters they were go to the washdown. All except Ash. He was to collect more things for the statue. First Ash went to Wellsworth Station. He was to collect the special block for the statue standoff.
  • Ash: Are you looking forward to seeing my statue?
  • Michael Brandon: He called to Kevin.
  • Kevin: It might not be your statue.
  • Michael Brandon: Huffed Kevin. But Ash wasn't listening. Ash arrived at Maithwaite Station. He had to collect to special podium for Steven to standoff.
  • Ash: Look!
  • Michael Brandon: Ash cried to Sakura.
  • Ash: Steven will make a speech when they uncover my statue.
  • Sakura: Who says it's going to be your statue?
  • Michael Brandon: Sakura huffed.
  • Ash: You'll see.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Ash and he wheeshed away. Omi arrived as Ash's Beedrill were being unloaded. Ash started to talk to Omi about his statue again.
  • Omi: Please stop talking about your statue!
  • Michael Brandon: Peeped Omi. Ash was surprised.
  • Omi: No one wants to hear about it anymore. No one wants to talk to you anymore.
  • Michael Brandon: Omi added crossly.
  • Omi: And neither do I!
  • Michael Brandon: Ash was left all alone. No one was talking to him. Ash felt very sad. Ash steamed toward Tidmouth Sheds. It had started to snow heavenly. But Ash kept going as fast as he could. He had to try to put things right with his friends. But when he arrived at Tidmouth, Steven was there. He looked worried.
  • Steven: The tracks at Peel Station are blocked. None of you will be able to get to the ceremony.
  • Michael Brandon: He said sternly.
  • Ash: I'll clear the tracks.
  • Michael Brandon: Tooted Ash.
  • Ash: I don't want any of you to miss the party.
  • Michael Brandon: The other characters were very surprised. They knew Ash didn't like his snowplough and clearing the tracks would make Ash late to see his statue. But Steven was pleased.
  • Steven: You must work very hard, Ash.
  • Michael Brandon: He boomed.
  • Steven: There's a lot to do.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash steamed off. He could not let them down. Ash felt silly for showing off. No wonder no one was talking to him. There was still a lot of tracks to clear. Thanks to Ash, everyone was able to get to Peel Station. They gathered nearby. The statue was covered in snow. But the sun had started to shine and the snow began to melt. Steven told everyone how proud he was of all his characters. But the characters were still thinking about Ash. And they were still cross. Just then, there was a loud swooshing noise. A big patches of snow slid off the statue. Then another. Then another. The last of the snow fell to the ground. The characters were so surprised.
  • Scott: That's not Ash.
  • Michael Brandon: Gasped Scott.
  • Omi: No, it's of all of us!
  • Michael Brandon: Peeped Omi. Everyone was very excited. Then, Ash rolled up. He was very surprised when he saw the statue.
  • Ash: It's not of me at all!
  • Michael Brandon: He cried. Ash was very relieved and very happy.
  • Ash: I'm sorry that I made you all cross.
  • Michael Brandon: He puffed.
  • Ash: I think this statue of us all is the best statue that could ever be.
  • Michael Brandon: And all the characters agreed.

Shaggy and The Flagpole

  • Michael Brandon: Shaggy and The Flagpole. All the characters on TV Land were very excited. There was to be a great banquet at the Scottish castle. Shaggy loved going to the Scottish castle because on the way, he puffed past his favorite tree. The tall pine tree towered of the rest of the forest. Shaggy always stopped to look at it. Seeing the tall pine tree standing tall and plowed made Shaggy very happy. Shaggy arrived at the Scottish castle. Steven was waiting for him.
  • Steven: The castle's flagpole was old and about to break.
  • Michael Brandon: He said.
  • Steven: Shaggy, I need you to collect a new flagpole from the docks in time for the banquet.
  • Shaggy: Yes, sir.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Shaggy. When Shaggy puffed into the docks, he couldn't see the tall flagpole anywhere. He looked around for something tall. He looked above the Beedrill. It was nothing tall there. He looked at the old ship. It had a tall mask. Then Shaggy looked up and saw Bowser. Bowser was very tall. But Shaggy didn't see the flagpole. It was on the flatbed in front of him. It rolled onto the track.
  • Earthworm Jim: Oops. Sorry, matey.
  • Michael Brandon: Called Earthworm Jim.
  • Shaggy: I didn't expect to see the flagpole down there.
  • Michael Brandon: Puffed Shaggy.
  • Earthworm Jim: It's not tall when you lay it down, matey.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Earthworm Jim. Shaggy felt very silly. Soon, Steven arrived.
  • Steven: This is a disaster.
  • Michael Brandon: He boomed.
  • Steven: The Scottish castle will not look the same without its flagpole.
  • Michael Brandon: Shaggy was very sad. It was all his fault.
  • Shaggy: Maybe seeing the tall pine tree will cheer me up.
  • Michael Brandon: Shaggy huffed. But nothing could make Shaggy feel better.
  • Shaggy: I wish I hadn't broken the flagpole.
  • Michael Brandon: Shaggy sighed to Jackie.
  • Jackie: They could make our new flagpole out of that tall tree.
  • Michael Brandon: Jackie puffed. Shaggy looked up at the tall pine tree. He didn't want it to be made into the flagpole. The next morning, Shaggy had to take some workmen to the forest. But the workmen were carrying axes and saws.
  • Shaggy: Oh, no!
  • Michael Brandon: Moaned Shaggy.
  • Shaggy: They must be going to cut down the tall pine tree.
  • Michael Brandon: Shaggy puffed through the countryside.
  • Shaggy: Must save the tree, must save the tree.
  • Michael Brandon: He huffed. Then Shaggy had an idea. He didn't think workmen to the forest. He went to look for a new flagpole. Shaggy saw some children waving flags, but those flags were much too tiny to have flagpoles. There was a flagpole holding up the windsock at the airfield. But that flagpole was much too short. There was a tall flagpole on the beach, but it wasn't tall enough.
  • Shaggy: Bother.
  • Michael Brandon: Wheeshed Henry sadly.
  • Shaggy: None of the flagpoles is as tall as the pine tree. Now I'll never save it.
  • Michael Brandon: That evening, Steven came to see Shaggy at the sheds.
  • Steven: Henry, those workmen had a very important job to do. You have caused confusion and delay.
  • Michael Brandon: Steven said sternly.
  • Steven: Tomorrow you will collect coal and Kevin will take the workmen to the forest.
  • Michael Brandon: The next day, Shaggy was collecting coal when Ash arrived.
  • Shaggy: I can't find another flagpole.
  • Michael Brandon: Moaned Shaggy.
  • Shaggy: I've looked everywhere.
  • Ash: Sometimes the think you want is somewhere you wouldn't think to look.
  • Michael Brandon: Puffed Ash and he steamed away. So Shaggy set off to go where he wouldn't think to look. But he couldn't see the flagpole in the county. Then Shaggy looked at the orchard. But only Heathcliff was there.
  • Heathcliff: Hello, Shaggy.
  • Shaggy: Hello, Heathcliff. You're very nice.
  • Michael Brandon: Huffed Shaggy.
  • Shaggy: But you wouldn't make a very good flagpole.
  • Michael Brandon: Shaggy puffed sadly into the docks. Some vacationers were taking pictures of the old ship. Shaggy looked up at the tall mask.
  • Shaggy: What about the ship's mask?
  • Michael Brandon: Asked Shaggy.
  • Earthworm Jim: It's to be trapped up and used for firewood, me hearty.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Earthworm Jim.
  • Shaggy: But it will be perfect for the castle flagpole.
  • Michael Brandon: Shaggy chuffed.
  • Shaggy: Then you best take it quickly, matey.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Earthworm Jim. Bowser soon lowered the mask onto the flatbed. And Shaggy raced off to the forest. He had to get to the tree before they cut it down. When Shaggy pulled into the forest, the tall pine tree was still there. And so was Steven.
  • Shaggy: Please don't cut down the tall pine tree, sir.
  • Michael Brandon: Chuffed Shaggy.
  • Shaggy: I think the ship's mask would make a very good flagpole.
  • Steven: I will never cut the tall pine tree down.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Steven.
  • Steven: The workmen are the only here to collect some firewood. We always have a roaring fire at the Scottish castle banquet.
  • Michael Brandon: Shaggy was so happy it made his axles tingled. That night, the flag was hoisted on the old ship's mask. It looked wonderful. Shaggy thought it was the nicest thing he had ever seen. Except for the old pine tree.

Bold and Brave

  • Michael Brandon: Bold and Brave. It was also summer on the TV Land. Alll the characters were very busy. They were looking forward to the start of the holiday season. One morning, Steven came to the sheds.
  • Steven: It's time to get the seaside station ready for the summer visitors. Ash, you ought to pick up the deck chairs and windbreaks and take them to the beach.
  • Ash: Yes, sir!
  • Michael Brandon: Tooted Ash. And he hurried off happily.
  • Ken: You're looking very cheerful, Ash.
  • Michael Brandon: Oiled Ken. Ash told Ken all about his exciting job.
  • Ken: Haven't you heard about the curse of the cliffs?
  • Michael Brandon: Oiled Ken.
  • Ash: No.
  • Michael Brandon: Tooted Ash nervously. Ken snorted.
  • Ken: Whenever the first character of the holiday season goes around the headland. A terrible fog comes down over the cliffs.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash did like the sound of that at all.
  • Ken: The character loses its way and nobody knows where it goes.
  • Michael Brandon: Ken chugged away leaving Ash unhappy indeed. He wished that he didn't have to go to the beach after all. Ash dread his feet slowly along the track. He was very worried. Finally, Ash reached the supply shed. Workers had loaded his Beedrill with windbreaks and deck chairs. Ash puffed slowly on his way. He was thinking about the curse of the cliffs. Suddenly, he saw Superman. Superman had bad news.
  • Superman: Thick fog rolling in on the headland!
  • Michael Brandon: Superman shouted.
  • Superman: Puff carefully, Ash!
  • Michael Brandon: And Superman whirred away over the treetops. Ash was very scared now.
  • Ash: What if Ken said about the curse of the cliffs is true?
  • Michael Brandon: Tooted Ash.
  • Ash: I could get lost in the fog and never be seen again.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash puffed fearfully towards the cliffs. Ash was approaching the tunnel when he saw Raphael. Raphael looked unhappy.
  • Ash: What's the matter?
  • Michael Brandon: Asked Ash kindly.
  • Raphael: I was enjoying myself until I met Ken.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Raphael unhappily.
  • Raphael: He told me a monster lives in the tunnel. Now I'm too scared to go through.
  • Ash: I'm sure Ken can't be right about the monster.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash said.
  • Ash: Why don't I go in to the tunnel first? Then you can follow me.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash puffed slowly into the tunnel. He heard a strange noise.
  • Ash: Must be brave, must be brave.
  • Michael Brandon: He told himself. Ash was determined not to show Raphael he was frightened. He screwed up his courage and puffed slowly on. Then the noise grew louder and louder. Suddenly, Ash saw two eyes peering on him. Now he knew that Ken was right.
  • Ash: Bust my buffers!
  • Michael Brandon: Wheeshed Ash.
  • Ash: There is a monster.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash wanted to go back, but he couldn't. He had to help Raphael.
  • Ash: Must be brave, must be brave.
  • Michael Brandon: He chuffed. Ash had to go forward. But when the smoke started to clear, Ash saw that the eyes weren't eyes at all. They were lights. And the thud-thud bend wasn't the noise made by a monster. It came from the machine beside the track. It was a generator to power the lights. Then Ash saw picks of shovels. He realized the workmen must be working there.
  • Ash: Ken was wrong. There's no monster in the tunnel after all.
  • Michael Brandon: Soon Ash came across the workers making tea. Ash tooted the workmen happily. Raphael was also very relieved.
  • Raphael: You are a very brave trainer.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Raphael.
  • Raphael: Now I can finish my job.
  • Michael Brandon: And he puffed away. Ash was happy to help Raphael. Then he remembered that he still had to get to the beach. And he remembered Ken's warning about the curse of the cliffs. Ash felt very nervous as he puffed towards the headline. So nervous that he stopped.
  • Ash: I can't go any further.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash tooted. He began to reverse away from the cliffs. Then, he had an idea.
  • Ash: If Ken was wrong about the monster in the tunnel, maybe he'll be wrong about the curse of the cliffs.
  • Michael Brandon: He puffed. He started to go forward again.
  • Ash: I'm not afraid, I'm not afraid.
  • Michael Brandon: He chuffed as he steamed carefully towards the mist. Suddenly, the mist rolled away and the sun came out. Ash saw that the cliffs were beautiful.
  • Ash: Ken just wanted to frighten me.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash whistled. Soon the seaside station was up ahead. At last, Ash reached the station on the other side of the headland. Ash knew that soon the beach would be filled with happy vacations
  • Ash: I should not have believe what Ken said about the curse of the cliffs.
  • Michael Brandon: Wheeshed Ash. In future, Ash decided he would believe in himself.

Brave Little Trainer

  • Children: There are times to be brave and times to be strong, when you are lost and you're all alone. You might be somewhere strange and dark, but long to be safe at home. Ash knows what must be done, he knows and what is more. He's the leader, number one. Such a brave little trainer for sure. Well you might be lost on a foggy night, stuck fast on a snowy day. It's times like this you feel afraid, so that's when it is the time to say. Ash knows what must be done, he knows and what is more. He's the leader, number one. Such a brave little trainer for sure. Ash knows what must be done, he knows and what is more. He's the leader, number one. Such a brave little trainer, brave little trainer, brave little trainer for sure.
  • (Instrumental break)
  • Children: Ash knows what must be done, he knows and what is more. He's the leader, number one. Such a brave little trainer for sure. Ash knows what must be done, he knows and what is more. He's the leader, number one. Such a brave little trainer, brave little trainer, brave little trainer for sure.

Ash and The Toy Shop

  • Michael Brandon: Ash and The Toy Shop. It was a bright crisp winter's day on TV Land. All the characters were hard at work carrying passengers and freight. Ash was very excited. He had a special job to do. The toy shop wants to have a grand opening for the winter holiday season. The workers at the toy factory have worked hard to make lots and lots of toys in time for the grand opening. Ash's job was to take toys from the factory to the toy shop. It was hard work, but Ash was enjoying it. He felt really useful doing something so important. And he was looking forward to seeing the children's happy faces. On the day of the grand opening, Steven came to Tidmouth Sheds.
  • Steven: A new machine for the toy factory has arrived.
  • Michael Brandon: He said.
  • Steven: Shaggy, I want you to pick it up from Brendam Docks and take it to the factory as soon as possible. And while you are there,
  • Michael Brandon: He added.
  • Steven: you can take the last load of toys from the factory to the toy shop.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash was disappointed. He thought that was his job. Maybe he could pick the children up at the school and take them to the grand opening. But Steven gave that job to Sakura.
  • Steven: You ought to do other jobs today.
  • Michael Brandon: He told Ash. Ash hurried off to start his new jobs. But he was very sad not to be helping with the grand opening. The signal at the next station was red and Ash stopped. The stationmaster was waiting for him with a message. It was from Steven.
  • Stationmaster: Sakura has broken down.
  • Michael Brandon: Said the stationmaster.
  • Stationmaster: You must get all your jobs done as quickly as possible. Then you are to collect the children after school and take them to the toy shop.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash was sad for Sakura but excited to take the children. He puffed away quickly. There was a lot to do. Ash was happy to be helping with the grand opening after all. He almost burst his boiler as he puffed around the island. At last, Ash finished his jobs. He picked up Bailey and Marina and steamed off to collect the children. Ash puffed through the docks. He was surprised to see Shaggy was still there. Then Ash saw that Shaggy was still trapped by a large crate.
  • Ash: What happened, Bowser?
  • Michael Brandon: Asked Ash.
  • Bowser: That crate slipped off my hooks.
  • Michael Brandon: Snapped Bowser crankily. Ash was worried. Shaggy still had to collect the last load of toys from the factory for the toy shop.
  • Ash: What if the toys arrive late for the toy shop?
  • Michael Brandon: Wheeshed Ash.
  • Ash: The children will be disappointed.
  • Shaggy: I'll go as soon as the lines clear.
  • Michael Brandon: Huffed Shaggy.
  • Ash: I know.
  • Michael Brandon: Puffed Ash excitedly.
  • Ash: I can collect the toys from the factory. Then I'll pick up the children.
  • Shaggy: You won't be able to pull all the cars of toys as well as Annie and Clarabel.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Shaggy.
  • Ash: Don't worry.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash whistled.
  • Ash: I can do it.
  • Michael Brandon: And he puffed quickly away. There was very little time left before the grand opening.
  • Ash: Gotta hurry, gotta hurry.
  • Michael Brandon: Puffed Ash.
  • Bailey and Marina: Doing all this, doing all this.
  • Michael Brandon: Chanted Bailey and Marina. At last, Ash reached the toy factory. He was coupled up to a long train of Beedrill and he set off to the toy shop. Ash had been working hard all day and he wasn't used to pulling such a heavy load.
  • Ash: It's very hard work.
  • Michael Brandon: He puffed.
  • Bailey and Marina: You can do it, you can do it.
  • Michael Brandon: Sang Bailey and Marina. Soon Ash was steaming up Scott's Hill.
  • Ash: Must get to the top, must get to the top.
  • Michael Brandon: He huffed. But he went slower and slower and slower until eventually he stopped all together.
  • Ash: I have to go on.
  • Michael Brandon: Wheeshed Ash. But he wasn't strong enough. The train started to pull Ash back down the hill. He applied his brakes, but it didn't help. He slid all the way to the bottom. Ash was very upset.
  • Ash: I've let everyone down.
  • Michael Brandon: He puffed sadly.
  • Ash: Especially the children.
  • Michael Brandon: Just then, he heard another character coming. It was Shaggy. The workmen had cleared the line at the docks.
  • Shaggy: What's the matter, Ash?
  • Michael Brandon: Shaggy asked. Ash told him.
  • Ash: You are right, Shaggy.
  • Michael Brandon: He said unhappily.
  • Ash: This load was too heavy for me. I should've listened to you and now I know I need your help.
  • Shaggy: What can I do?
  • Michael Brandon: Chuffed Shaggy.
  • Ash: You take the Beedrill to the toy shop.
  • Michael Brandon: Whistled Ash.
  • Ash: And I'll pick up the children. But we must hurry.
  • Michael Brandon: Shaggy chuffed as fast as he could to the toy shop. Ash puffed around the island as fast as he could. The children cheered when someone coming.
  • Ash: You won't be late.
  • Michael Brandon: He whistled as he steamed from station to station. And they weren't. Ash arrived just in time for the grand opening. It was a magical sight. There were colored lights, balloons and lots and lots of toys. Steven declared the toy shop open for the winter holiday season. Everybody cheered. Ash was so pleased to see the children's happy faces.
  • Ash: You were right, Shaggy.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash tooted.
  • Ash: In future, I should leave pulling the heavy loads to you.

Omi and The Oil Painting

  • Michael Brandon: Omi and The Oil Painting. TV Land is a very special place. It has hills, and valleys, fields and forests. All of Steven's characters love TV Land. One day, Steven came to Tidmouth Sheds. He had splendid news.
  • Steven: The mayor has invited a famous artist to paint a picture called The Spirit of TV Land. It will be put on show at Knapford Station.
  • Michael Brandon: Boomed Steven.
  • Steven: Omi, you must collect the artist at Brendam Docks and show him all the most beautiful places.
  • Omi: Yes, sir.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Omi. Ash was excited for his friend. But Percy was worried.
  • Omi: What's The Spirit of TV Land?
  • Michael Brandon: Asked Omi. Ash thought...
  • Ash: Everything that is special about the island.
  • Michael Brandon: He said.
  • Ash: No one knows the island better than you.
  • Michael Brandon: He puffed.
  • Ash: And no one loves it more than you. You're just the character for the job.
  • Michael Brandon: Omi felt better. He would show the famous artist somewhere very special. Somewhere that was The Spirit of TV Land. When Omi arrived at Brendam, the docks were very crowded. Everyone wanted to see the famous artist. He had paper and an easel, he had lots of paints and bags of brushes. A long smock to keep his clothes clean and on his head he wear a big black beret. Omi thought he looked very important. The famous artist climbed on board Omi.
  • Famous Artist: I want to see The Spirit of TV Land.
  • Michael Brandon: He said.
  • Famous Artist: Please show me somewhere special.
  • Omi: Yes, sir.
  • Michael Brandon: Puffed Omi happily. And he steamed out of the docks as fast as he could go. Omi puffed across the island.
  • Omi: Somewhere special, somewhere special.
  • Michael Brandon: He chuffed. At last, Omi came to Shen Valley. It was very beautiful.
  • Omi: There you are, sir!
  • Michael Brandon: Cried Omi happily.
  • Omi: The Spirit of TV Land!
  • Michael Brandon: The famous artist had a very long look.
  • Famous Artist: Too green.
  • Michael Brandon: He said.
  • Famous Artist: I wanted to show me somewhere special.
  • Michael Brandon: Omi was surprised. He thought Shen Valley was very special. But the artist was very famous and very important.
  • Omi: Maybe Shen Valley isn't special after all.
  • Michael Brandon: Omi set off again. He would show the famous artist somewhere else special. Omi came to Norramby Beach. The sun was shining, children were playing in the sand. There was even a donkey giving rides. Percy was sure the famous artist would want to paint it.
  • Omi: There we are, sir!
  • Michael Brandon: He puffed.
  • Omi: All the children love Norramby Beach.
  • Michael Brandon: The famous artist looked at Norramby Beach. He held his paintbrush and beret.
  • Famous Artist: Hmm, the sand is too yellow.
  • Michael Brandon: He sighed.
  • Famous Artist: I wanted to show me somewhere special.
  • Michael Brandon: This upset Omi. He thought Norramby Beach was the most cheerful place on the island. He wanted to tell the famous artist he was wrong. But all he said was...
  • Omi: Yes, sir.
  • Michael Brandon: ...and set off sadly again. Omi took the artist to the viaduct. But the famous artist said...
  • Famous Artist: Too tall.
  • Michael Brandon: Then, Omi took him to the windmill.
  • Famous Artist: Too round.
  • Michael Brandon: Said the famous artist. Finally, Omi took the famous artist to Knapford Station. There were engines and coaches, porters and packages and loudest of all the happy noise of passengers coming aboard. Omi thought it was the most wonderful sight of all.
  • Omi: Here, sir.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Omi proudly.
  • Omi: Isn't this The Spirit of TV Land?
  • Famous Artist: Too busy.
  • Michael Brandon: The famous artist sighed.
  • Famous Artist: Why, I do believe there is nothing special to paint on the island at all!
  • Michael Brandon: Omi was so cross his boiler bubbled. And he went as red as Al. Scott thought the artist was very rude.
  • Omi: Everywhere on TV Land is special.
  • Michael Brandon: Peeped Omi.
  • Omi: And so are the people and the children and the characters. They are all special. Then he wheeshed some steam. The steam blew the artist's hat into the air.
  • Famous Artist: I want to see Steven right away.
  • Michael Brandon: The famous artist cried. Omi was sure he was in trouble now. oMI waited and waited. Steven came to Knapford at once.
  • Famous Artist: I have found the perfect scene to paint.
  • Michael Brandon: Cried the famous artist.
  • Steven: What is it?
  • Michael Brandon: Asked Steven.
  • Famous Artist: I am going to paint Omi!
  • Omi: Bust my buffers!
  • Michael Brandon: Omi gasped.
  • Omi: You want to paint me!?
  • Famous Artist: Omi is artist, hard working and helpful. And he is not afraid to speak his mind. He is surely The Spirit of TV Land.
  • Michael Brandon: Said the famous artist. And Steven agreed. And so the famous artist painted Omi. And on the night the painting was to be shown for the first time. All the characters were there. When the mayor pulled a port to show his picture, Omi gasped.
  • Ash: I told you were the best engine for the job.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash smiled. And Omi smiled too. He was very proud to be The Spirit of TV Land.

Ash and The Rainbow

  • Michael Brandon: Ash and The Rainbow. Ash has friends all over TV Land. Friends at Brendam Docks and friends at the farm. All of the characters are Ash's friends. And so are all the children. One night, there had been a summer storm on the island. Steven came to Tidmouth Sheds. He looked very serious.
  • Steven: A strong wind has blown down the telephone lines.
  • Michael Brandon: He said.
  • Steven: Ash, you must take the engineers to fix the telephone lines or it will cause confusion and delay.
  • Michael Brandon: He boomed.
  • Ash: Yes, sir!
  • Michael Brandon: Said Ash and he puffed away. Ash arrived at Brendam Docks. The telephone engineers boarded Bailey and Marina. Then Ash noticed something in the sky. Ash thought it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.
  • Ash: Look at all the colors, Kevin.
  • Michael Brandon: Gasped Ash.
  • Ash: Red and blue and yellow and green.
  • Kevin: That's a rainbow.
  • Michael Brandon: Puffed Kevin wisely.
  • Kevin: An old story says you'll find something magical at the end of the rainbow.
  • Ash: Something magical.
  • Michael Brandon: Gasped Ash.
  • Ash: That sounds wonderful. I must find the end of the rainbow right away.
  • Michael Brandon: And he wheeshed away as fast as he could. Ash had to stop at a junction. The rainbow was overhead. Omi was already waiting.
  • Omi: Hello, Ash.
  • Michael Brandon: Omi tooted cheerfully.
  • Ash: Sorry.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash puffed.
  • Ash: No time to talk. I have to find the end of the rainbow.
  • Michael Brandon: And he chuffed quickly away. Ash puffed up Gordon's Hill. The end of the rainbow was just over the top. But when Ash reached the top, the end of the rainbow had moved.
  • Ash: Bother!
  • Michael Brandon: Said Ash. Ash had to let some engineers off at the bridge. He could see the rainbow up ahead. Children on the bridge waved at Ash and called hello. Ash just chuffed away.
  • Ash: Sorry, no time to talk.
  • Michael Brandon: He puffed.
  • Ash: I have to find the end of the rainbow.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash took the telephone engineers all across the island. Over the hills and through the valleys. All the time, he was looking forward for the end of the rainbow.
  • Ash: Must find the end, must find the end.
  • Michael Brandon: He puffed. When Ash passed Shaggy, Shaggy asked him for some help.
  • Ash: Sorry.
  • Michael Brandon: Cried Ash.
  • Ash: I don't have time to stop. I'm looking for the end of the rainbow.
  • Michael Brandon: But the end of the rainbow was always just around the corner. Finally, Ash past Jackie.
  • Ash: Slow down, Ash!
  • Michael Brandon: Jackie cried.
  • Jackie: There's something ahead on the tracks!
  • Michael Brandon: But Ash wasn't listening. He was sure the end of the rainbow was just around the corner. But then there was trouble. Ash hit the telegraph pole and they all came off the tracks. Luckily, no one was hurt.
  • Ash: Cinders and Ashes!
  • Michael Brandon: Ash cried. Ash was stuck. His driver couldn't phone for help. The telephone lines were still not working. Then Ash spotted Omi far away.
  • Ash: Help!
  • Michael Brandon: Cried Ash.
  • Ash: Omi, help!
  • Michael Brandon: And he whistled as loud as he could. Ash watched sadly as Omi puffed away.
  • Ash: Omi isn't talking to me because I didn't have time to talk to him.
  • Michael Brandon: Thought Ash.
  • Ash: I was too busy chasing the end of the rainbow.
  • Michael Brandon: Ash know what was his fault. But Omi had heard Ash's whistle. He knew Ash was in trouble. And he was hurrying to get help.
  • Omi: Ash is in trouble!
  • Michael Brandon: Omi called as he passed Shaggy. Then Shaggy told Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic told the children. The children told Al, Al told Superman and Superman told Captain Planet. Captain Planet set off right away. Captain Planet found Ash in no time at all. Soon, he had them all back on the tracks.
  • Ash: Thank you for rescuing us, Captain Planet.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Ash. Captain Planet told Ash have a message had been passed on.
  • Planet: All of your friends have helped rescue you.
  • Michael Brandon: He said. Ash was very happy indeed. Ash puffed along. The rainbow was still in the sky. But Ash didn't try to find the end of the rainbow. He worked as hard as he could until all the telephones will work again. As Ash returned to Tidmouth Sheds, he was amazed to find the end of the rainbow. It was right over Tidmouth Sheds.
  • Ash: The old story was right.
  • Michael Brandon: Gasped Ash.
  • Ash: There is something magical at the end of the rainbow. My friends. Friends are the most wonderful thing of all.
