BOSO or the Business Office of Student Organizations is the chief economic and bureaucratic antagonist of the Ship of Fools.

BOSO manages all funds to and from official Purdue student organizations- of which the Purdue Improvisation Club is a part of. It is their job to keep track of all expenditures and transfers of monies through all the clubs for legal purposes, as well as to keep organizations from spending money on things like alcohol and strippers, from theft, piracy, and extortion, as well as to document things excessively. They also insist on things like triplicate forms for callouts, official documentation of road trips, and things.

[edit] The Ship of Fools

The SoF is officially not a Purdue organization. The group of performers is comprised of Purdue students who are in the Purdue Improvisation Club, and the President of the club is the Captain of the Fools (at least as is tradition). However, they are separate entities. Performances at residence halls, clubs, etc. are contracted through the SoF and should be paid accordingly. Part of the job of the Captain and Treasurer is to keep the money flowing around BOSO and into the treasure chests of the Fools.
