Notes/Trivia

  • Barney has his Season 3 voice and 1994-1997 costume.
  • Baby Bop has her Season 3 voice and 1996-1997 costume.
  • BJ has his Season 3 voice and 1996-1997 costume.
  • The Barney costume from "Barney's Sense-Sational Day" are used for the new material.
  • The musical arrangements from "Barney's Fun & Games" are used only for the new material.
  • The end credit music's arrangements from "Barney's Musical Scrapbook" are used.
  • Season 3's I Love You has the same vocals from "If the Shoe Fits...", except the kids' vocal part is cut off.
  • Though it was a Season 3 home video, this home video felt like a Season 2 home video, because it used the Season 2 Opening Sequence in the Barney Theme Song, the Season 2 Opening Scene, and the scene with the Barney doll on the tire-swing (from Season 1-2) with the re-designed twinkle on the Barney doll (used for Season 2), and the Season 2 Title Card. This would be used for the 1997, 2000 and 2004 versions. In 2010, when it was retitled "Barney's Super-Dee-Duper Songs", the Season 7-13 opening sequence would also replace the Season 2 intro. Plus, the end credit font from the Backyard Gang video series, as well as some home videos from Season 1-3 (1992-1995), returns to this video after not been used since "Barney's Magical Toyland Trip!" (August 2, 1995).
  • Below the Season 2 Opening Sequence (used for the 1997, 2000 and 2004 releases), two words "Home Video" are added.
  • This is another home video to take place in the Second Era set, and with the Season 3 Barney, Baby Bop and BJ costumes and voices.
  • This home video felt like a Season 4 video, because they used the Second Era school, playground and treehouse sets in the new material. This home video also felt like a Season 3 video, because they still used Season 3's Barney, Baby Bop and BJ costumes and voices, and Season 3's musical arrangements and background music.
  • Though this isn't a stage show, the front cover has Barney (with a microphone), BJ (with a guitar), and Baby Bop (with a drum) performing on a stage, with the Classic Collection spine on top. This artwork is silimar to the one for "Barney's Favorite Songs", except the 1994-1997 Barney costume and the 1996-1997 BJ and Baby Bop costumes are in place of the 1999-2002 Barney costume and the 1997-2002 BJ and Baby Bop costumes.
  • When BJ and Baby Bop arrive at the school classroom and greet Barney, BJ's "Hi Barney!" is made from BJ's "Hi everybody!" sound clip taken from "It's Raining, It's Pouring...", except it does sound like "Hi Barney!", and is a bit sped down and mixed with BJ's 1996 voice and Baby Bop's "Hi Barney!" is taken from "Barney Live! In New York City!", except it was mixed with Baby Bop's 1996 voice.
  • After BJ and Baby Bop arrive and hug Barney, when BJ says "What'cha doing, Barney?", the sound clip is "What'cha doing?" from "I Can Be A Firefighter!", except it has the "Barney" word added. Plus, the whole sound clip is mixed with BJ's 1996 voice.
  • This is another time Barney isn't seen coming to life; instead, he is seen bringing the box in the school classroom.
  • This is another time Barney doesn't turn back into a doll; instead, after the "I Love You" song, he, BJ and Baby Bop leave the classroom to go over to Professor Tinkerputt, to thank him for the music box.
  • When Barney arrives at the classroom with the box, the music from "Are We There Yet?" (when Kathy tells Mr. Teddy about reading books in the library) is used.
  • When Barney sets the box onto the table, the music from "Barney Live! In New York City!" (when Barney and the kids go to play at the backyard with the help of the audience) is used.
  • When BJ and Baby Bop arrive and greet Barney, the music from "Barney Safety" (when Barney tells BJ, Jason and Tosha about smelling smoke in a burning building, telling a grown-up and getting out) is used.
  • When Baby Bop goes to hop outside at the playground, the music from "Barney's Musical Scrapbook" (when Barney and Baby Bop look at the picture of them, Stella and the kids at the classroom from "Ships Ahoy!") is used.
  • When Baby Bop is tired from all the hopping outside at the school playground, the music from "I Can Be A Firefighter" (when BJ arrives at the school classroom) is used.
  • When BJ says "Me too!" while he, Barney and Baby Bop are hungry, the sound clip was voiced by Derek (protrayed by Rickety Carter) from "On The Move!", except it was mixed with BJ's 1996 voice.
  • Before the I Love You song, when Barney tells BJ and Baby Bop about his favorite memories, the music from "I Can Be A Firefighter" (when Barney tells Kathy, Julie, Jason and Tosha about people helping other people after the "People Helping Other People" song) is used.
  • After I Love You, when Barney, BJ and Baby Bop say bye to the viewer(s) and leave the school classroom to go outside to thank Professor Tinkerputt for the music box, then we fade into the music box, and then, the button of the music box winks, the music from "Barney's Musical Scrapbook" (when Barney tells the viewer(s) that the surprise party is stu-u-pendous and takes a picture of them at the end) is used.
  • All the songs from the 2000 CD album release (which was released three years later) are used, except "Rock-a-Bye-Baby/Hey Diddle Diddle/Wee Willie Winkie/Diddle Diddle Dumpling", "Lavender's Blue", and "Listen to the Night Time".
  • The same clip translations used in this home video were also used for "Dino-Dancin' Tunes".
  • Professor Tinkerputt was mentioned in this home video, but he was not seen.
  • Some 2000 re-releases have the 2000 CD album of the same name, which is on the back of the cover artwork.
  • When the CD release was released in 2000, three extra songs, "Rock-a-Bye-Baby/Hey Diddle Diddle/Wee Willie Winkie/Diddle Diddle Dumpling", "Lavender's Blue", and "Listen to the Night Time" are added.
  • This home video was filmed and produced in December 18-21, 1996.
  • The preview for this video is announced by Gina from "Sesame Street".
  • The printedate says "7-28-97".

  • BJ: We get to go outside, and play?
  • Barney: That's not what I'm thinking about, but that is one thing you do. There's a disc here that will tell you. No peeking.

  • BJ: Let's put it in!
  • (puts disc in, and translates)
  • Baby Bop: What if everybody was named "Baby Bop"?
  • Luci: I don't think you'd like that, Baby Bop.
  • Baby Bop: Why not?
  • Luci: If everyone's name was just the same, then my name would be your name. Boys and girls would get mixed up, because his name would be her name. We'd all look around when a friend called your name. We'd all go at once on your turn in the game. And if someone was naughty, you might get the blame, if everyone's name was just the same. And that's why I think it's fine that you have your name, and I have mine.
  • Baby Bop: That was funny, Luci!
  • Barney: It sure was. And you know, it reminds me of a silly song that's fun to sing.
  • (all talking at once, wondering what song)
  • Barney: It's a song that let's us all make-believe that we do have the very same name, and it's a great big name, too!
  • (all talking at once, wondering what name)
  • Barney: John... Jacob... Jingleheimer Schmidt!

  • Baby Bop: Can I pick a disc, Barney?
  • Barney: Sure!
  • (picks a disc)
  • Baby Bop: Look at this disc! It has apples and bananas on it! It's making me hungry!

  • Barney: Let's put it in!
  • (puts disc in, and translates)
  • Barney: Your just a little elephant, but my! What big ears you have! (giggles) Okay, you little elephants out there. Let's see how low your ears hang.
  • Barney & Kids: Do your ears hang low? Do they wobble to and fro? Can you tie them in a knot? Can you tie them in a bow? Can you throw over your shoulder, like a contiental soldier? Do your ears hang low?
  • Barney: Everybody sing!
