  • (we open up and see the treehouse. Barney, Baby Bop and BJ going down the treehouse)
  • Barney: (to viewer(s)) Hi there, everybody.
  • Baby Bop: Hi!
  • BJ: Hi, everybody!
  • Barney: It's good to see you again. I'm glad you're here. And today, we are going camping.
  • BJ: Yeah. Camping is really cool!
  • Baby Bop: (music starts for A Camping We Will Go) Camping is fun! (fade to Barney, Baby Bop and BJ at the playground)
  • Barney, Baby Bop and BJ: A-camping we will go. A-camping we will go. Hi Ho the Derry-O. A camping we will go. We'll pitch the tent right here. We'll pitch the tent right here. Hi Ho the Derry-O. We'll pitch the tent right here. We'll crawl into the tent. We'll crawl into the tent. Hi Ho the Derry-O. We'll crawl into the tent. We're having lots of fun. We're having lots of fun. Hi Ho the Derry-O. We're having lots of fun. (music ends)
  • Barney: Camping is stu-u-pendous!
  • BJ: Yeah! It was a camp-out!
  • Barney: Stories are really great. (music for Once Upon a Time starts) It means once upon a time. When you hear the words, "Once upon a time," then you know a story will be told. When you hear me say, "Once upon a time," a wondrous adventure will be unfold.
  • BJ: Once upon a time means it's time to pretend, let your imagination go on a journey into storyland to hear a tale from long ago.
  • Barney, Baby Bop and BJ: Once upon a time, once upon a time. Means a story to tell, a tale to share with everybody, everywhere. Once upon a time, once upon a time. Means a story to tell, a tale to share. When you hear the words, "Once upon a time"

  • Barney: While we camp, I will tell you some stories about fun times we did with my friends.
  • Baby Bop: What was the first one, Barney?
  • Barney: It's called Three Wishes.
  • BJ: Three Wishes? That sounds cool!
  • Barney: I will tell you about it. (he begins the story) Once upon a time, it was a Saturday. The Backyard Gang were bored, and had nothing to do. So, they called me for help. (fades to "Three Wishes")
  • Barney: Hi, Gang!
  • Kids: Barney!
  • Michael: Hi, Barney. Are you coming to help us?
  • Barney: What's wrong?
  • Adam: It's Saturday; we don't have an anything to do.
  • Barney: What? You have nothing to do? With all these great toys?
  • Amy: We'll play with them every day. We want to do something different.
  • Barney: Like what?
  • Luci: I would be real need if you take him some place special.
  • Barney: I know of a wonderful place. When the sun shines down on the thick green grass, and there are lots of beautiful flowers and trees. And the birds are always singing.
  • Michael: Where's that?
  • Barney: Your backyard.
  • Kids: Awww.
  • Tina: That's right here!
  • Amy: That's no fun!
  • Michael: Who want to go somewhere different!
  • Barney: Like where?
  • Kids: (I wanna go to the park)
  • Barney: Wait a minute! That won't do. You've got to make up your mind. Tell you what are you going to do: I'm going to give you three wishes! Certainly you can agree on three places to visit. That way everyone will be happy. How about you Tina. Where would you like to go?
  • Tina: Well, I like to go to a fun park.
  • Kids: Yeah!
  • Barney: A fun park is! Okay, everybody. Make a big circle. Hold hands and close your hands. Now wish real hard. And say after me, I wish we are at the fun park, I wish we are at the fun park.
  • Barney & Kids: I wish we are at the fun park, I wish we are at the fun park,
  • Barney: (as the kids say it) Shimbree, Shimbarah. Shimbree, Shimbarh!
  • Barney (narrating): And all the Backyard Gang did, as everyone dissapear and left the backyard. The Backyard Gang were relieved.
  • Luci: Wonderful. I wanna to go in the see saw!
  • Michael: Come on, let's go!
  • Barney (narrating): And the Backyard Gang ran off. I waved to them. But, Jason was sad.
  • Barney: What's the matter, Jason? You look disappointed.
  • Jason: I was hoping they will be animals there.
  • Barney: This is a fun park, with all kinds of big rides.
  • Jason: But I like animals, especially the kind you can play it.
  • Barney: I know a place you'd like. It's got all kinds of petting animals.
  • Jason: I wish I could be there right now!
  • Barney: But your friends are having fun right here. Say! I got an idea! If i sent you on a head, you can get things ready for us, and we can join you in a little bit, and you can play with all the animals we got there. How does that sound?
  • Jason: That sounds great! (Jason disappears)
  • Barney (narrating): So, Jason was on his way, and I caught up with the Backyard Gang at the see saw.
  • (cuts to the kids at the see saw area. The kids look all around them and Tina & Luci get on the see saw, then music starts for "London Town")
  • Luci: Michael!
  • (Michael gets on her side on the see saw)
  • Michael & Luci: See saw up and down. This is the way to London Town. One foot up and one foot down. This is the way to London Town.
  • (Tina has a hard time going down. Then, gets an idea, then invites Barney over. Barney comes over and laughs a bit)
  • Barney & Kids: Seesaw, up and down, which is the way to London Town? One foot up and one foot down, this is the way to London Town.
  • Kids: Hey, look!
  • (Barney and the Kids leave the see saw as the music ends)
  • Barney (narrating): After the see saw, we went to a jungle gym, where we jump roped.
  • Luci: Barney! Barney! Will you jump rope with me?
  • Barney: Dinosaurs can't skip rope to well. My tail always gets in the way. But I'll help you turn it.
  • Luci: Great!
  • Michael: Here, Luci. I'll turn it so you can jump.
  • Luci: Thank you, Michael.
  • Amy: Hey, guys. Do you know the "Teddy Bear" song?
  • Kids: Yeah!
  • Michael: One, two, three, go!
  • Kids: Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn around. Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, touch the ground. Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, show your shoes. Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, that will do. Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, climb the stairs. Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, say your prares. Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, switch off the light. Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, say "Good Night".
  • Luci: Good night!
  • Barney & Kids: Yay!
  • Tina: Barney, it's your turn to jump.
  • Barney: But I told you, Tina, "My tail gets in the way". Well, I'll try it, just for you, Tina.
  • Kids: Yay! Barney's gonna jump!
  • (Barney walks over to the middle so he can jump)
  • Luci: Are you ready?
  • Barney: Um hum.
  • Luci: 1, 2, 3, go!
  • Kids: Barney, Barney, Turn around.
  • (Barney laughs)
  • Kids: Barney, Barney, Touch the ground.
  • Barney (narrating): Michael and Luci accidently let go of the jump rope, and I got tangled, span around, and fell down. Luckly, I wasn't hurt.
  • Kids: Barney, Barney, Barney! Are you alright, Barney?
  • Barney: Yes, but help me get this rope off. It's okay, Tina. I was just doing what the song said: "Touch the ground". I just touched it a little to hard.
  • (Kids laugh)
  • Barney: Okay, everybody. Give me a hand.
  • (Kids grab parts of the rope to pull Barney up)
  • Barney: Ready?
  • Barney & Kids: One, two, three.
  • Barney (narrating): I span around, got out of the jump rope, and the kids stopped me from spinning.
  • (Kids cheer because Barney's up again)
  • Barney: Say, I know another rhyme we can do, and you don't have to use a rope. It's called "Mr. Knickerbocker". You just watch me and do what I do.
