Narrator: Everyday is a busy day on Misty Island. The logging locos, Bash, Dash and Ferdinand are always hard at work collecting logs, and taking passengers around the island. The logging locos are all friends, and they enjoy their work. But sometimes, there can be too much work for them.

Ferdinand: It sure has gotten busy here on Misty Island ever since the Shake Shake bridge got re-built.

Bash: I know. Perhaps now that Misty Island is safe, visitors won't be afraid of coming here.

Dash: That's what I've been thinking too.

Ferdinand: Me too.

Narrator: One morning, Bash, Dash and Ferdinand were getting ready for the day's work when they heard an unfamiliar whistle. They looked up to see an unfamiliar red engine coming towards them. The engine had side rods on her front wheels and back wheels.

(Mr. Gilbert Jones climbs down from the red engine's cab)

Mr. Gilbert Jones: Good morning, Bash, Dash and Ferdinand. This is Tara. She's the new engine on our railway.

Ferdinand: Hello, Tara. I'm Ferdinand.

Bash: I'm Bash. Welcome to Misty Island.

Dash: I'm Dash. You're going to like it here.

Tara: Thank you. I'm looking forward to starting my new life here on Misty Island.

Mr. Gilbert Jones: Now, I would like you three to show Tara around the island and help her learn her work here.

Ferdinand: Yes, sir.

Narrator: So the four engines puffed off to work. First, they went to the logging station where Ol' Wheezy and Hee-Haw working.

Bash: Morning, Ol' Wheezy.

Dash: Morning, Hee-Haw.

Ol' Wheezy: Oh, good morning, Bash and Dash. Good morning, Ferdinand.

Hee-Haw: Morning, all. Who's that?

Tara: My name is Tara. I'm the new engine on Misty Island.

Ol' Wheezy: Nice to meet you. My name is Ol' Wheezy.

Hee-Haw: And I'm Hee-Haw. We load logs on flatbeds for engines to take. Sometimes they're for here on Misty Island, and sometimes the logs are for Sodor.

Ol' Wheezy: We hope you like it here on Misty Island.

Tara: Thanks. I'm sure I'll have a good time here.

Narrator: Later, Ferdinand and Tara took some passengers up to the Misty Island Seashore.

Ferdinand: Passengers sometimes like to come here. The seashore is one of the best spots on Misty Island.

Tara: I can see why. The water sparkles in the sunshine, and it's a great place for people to go swimming.

Ferdinand: That's right.

Narrator: Then Tara worked with Bash and Dash as they helped the workmen plant some trees.

Tara: Why exactly do we need more trees on this island.

Bash: Mr. Jones says that every time a tree on Misty Island gets cut down for things like furniture, it would be best if we planted a new one to take its place.

Tara: That makes sense.

Workman #1: Okay, Tara. We need you to take us up the line a bit so we can plant another tree.

Tara: Yes, sir.

Workman #2: Come on, Bash and Dash. We might need your help too.

Narrator: Dash puffed off with Tara and the workman, Bash didn't he kept looking at the new trees that had just been planted.

Dash: Bash, aren't you coming?

Bash: What? Oh!

(Bash races forward)

Narrator: And then there was trouble. Bash bumped into some flatbeds, and the flatbeds bumped into Tara, who was very surprised.

Tara: Trembling tracks! What was that?

Bash: Sorry, Tara. I accidentally bumped into your flatbeds and they bumped into you.

Dash (Chuckles)

Tara: It's not funny, Dash!

Dash: I'm sorry, Tara, but sometimes accidents are funny to watch.

Tara: I don't see what's so funny about accidents. Is that what you two do to every engine you meet? Bump into them and laugh? I don't want to work or even speak to you two.

Narrator: So Tara left the twins with the workmen, and worked with Ferdinand for the rest of the day. But the next morning, things were no better between Tara and the twins.

Bash: That Tara! She snapped at us yesterday just because I accidentally bumped into her and Dash chuckled a bit at it.

Dash: She's a very grumpy engine indeed!

Ferdinand: The way I heard it, it sounded like all three of you were to blame.

Bash: Nonsense, Ferdinand!

Dash: Yeah! You must have heard it all wrong.

Narrator: But it wasn't just the twins who were complaining. Tara was complaining too.

Tara: Bash and Dash think they can just bump into me, and laugh about it. They're very rude engines. I don't know how you put up with them, Ferdinand.

Ferdinand: They're not so bad once you get to know them. You really shouldn't have gotten mad at them.

Tara: But what if they bump into me and laugh about it again?

Ferdinand: Well, um...

(Tara puffs away)

Narrator: Tara and the twins complained about each other to Ferdinand all morning and most of the afternoon. Ferdinand was starting to feel stressed out.

Tara: Tell the twins that I won't speak to them until they learn some manners.

Bash: Tell Tara that we won't speak to her until she learns to understand accidents happen.

Dash: And learns to not be so grumpy.

Ferdinand: I can't take this anymore!

(Ferdinand races forward)

Narrator: Ferdinand was so stressed out that he races away as fast as he could. He was going so fast that he didn't see the signal telling him to stop, and he didn't see that he had been diverted into a siding until it was too late. He broke the buffers and tumbled down a hill. Luckily, no one was hurt.

(Bash, Dash and Tara puff up and find Ferdinand down the hill)

Bash: Ferdinand, are you alright?

Ferdinand: No. I think I broke some of my parts. You three need to put your argument aside and get help.

Tara: Of course.

Dash: We need to get Rocky from Sodor. Come on, Tara. Bash and I will show you the way to the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre.

Narrator: So Bash, Dash and Tara raced through the tunnel to Sodor and arrived at the search and rescue centre.

Bash: Rocky, we need your help.

Dash: It's an emergency!

Rocky: What's wrong?

Tara: Ferdinand, came off the rails on Misty Island. We need you to lift him back onto the tracks, please.

Rocky: Right! Take me to Misty Island at once.

Narrator: Tara and the twins took Rocky to Misty Island to rescue Ferdinand.

Rocky: I've come to help you, Ferdinand.

Ferdinand: Thank you, Rocky.

Narrator: Rocky helped pull Ferdinand up the hill and back onto the rails.

Tara: Thank you for helping my new friend, Rocky. My name is Tara, by the way.

Rocky: Nice to meet you, Tara. I'm always happy to help, whether it's here on Misty Island or on Sodor.

Narrator: Mr. Jones arrived to see the rescue operation.

Mr. Gilbert Jones: Well done, Rocky! And Tara, please take Ferdinand to the steamworks on Sodor to be repaired.

Tara: Yes, sir.

Narrator: That evening, when Tara returned to Misty Island, Bash and Dash spoke up to her.

Bash: Tara, we're sorry for bumping into you and laughing about it yesterday.

Dash: We really didn't mean for that happen.

Tara: I'm sorry too. Shall we start over?

Bash and Dash: Yes, please.

Mr. Gilbert Jones: I'm glad you three have all become friends now. But an argument like that better not happen again.

Tara: It won't, sir.

Bash: We promise.

Narrator: Bash, Dash and Tara all worked well together. When Ferdinand returned from the steamworks a few days later, all four engines became great friends.
