Narrator: "It was two days before Christmas. Many children were expected in Disneyland. All the characters were busy with the final preparations. Walt Disney wanted this year's Carol party to be an extra special celebration.
Walt Disney was now waiting impatiently for Bashful."
Walt Disney: "Quickly now,"
Narrator: "He said."
Walt Disney: "Our Christmas Tree has arrived just in time. I want you to fetch it, Bashful. Mickey can look after Mrs. Potts and Fifi until you get back."
Bashful: "Will we be able to sing carols, too?"
Narrator: "Asked Bashful."
Walt Disney: "We'll see."
Narrator: "Promised Walt Disney."
Bashful: "It would be nice to sing Christmas carols again."
Narrator: "Sighed Bashful, as he set off on his important mission.
Bashful collected the tree safely, but large snowdrifts lay ahead."
Bashful: "I mustn't be late."
Narrator: "He thought."
Bashful: "Walt Disney is relying on me."
Narrator: "Whistling bravely, Bashful tried to move, but he couldn't. There was worse to come!
Poor Bashful was snowed under!
Meanwhile, the other characters waited and waited. They were grumbling about Bashful for being late."
Walt Disney: "Silence!"
Narrator: "Said Walt Disney."
Walt Disney: "Bashful left the mine safely, but snow has brought the telephone lines down. We must assume he is stranded."
Narrator: "The characters now felt sorry for Bashful, and cold but confident, Timon & Pumbaa set off to the rescue.
Suddenly, they came to a drift that was deeper than the rest."
Narrator: "Said Timon."
Timon: "I can hear something."
Pumbaa: "Probably the wind."
Narrator: "Said Pumbaa."
Timon: "No, listen!"
Narrator: "Insisted Timon."
Bashful: "Over here!"
Timon: "Ach! It's Bashful! Come on, the poor wee dwarf must be frozen to the beard in there!"
Narrator: "When the workmen arrived, it took some time to decide how to dig away the heavy drifts of snow. Bashful's driver and fireman, who had taken shelter in a nearby cottage, joined the rescue. At last, Bashful and the precious Christmas tree were freed from the snowdrift.
Then, they set off once more to finish their long journey.
Walt Disney greeted them warmly."
Walt Disney: "As a reward for all your hard work, you may go and enjoy the carols. Be quick now!"
Narrator: "At the forest, all was soon ready."
Walt Disney: "One, two, three!"
Narrator: "Suddenly, like magic, the Forest was flooded with lights."
Walt Disney: "Ladies, gentlemen, and children, I give you three cheers for Bashful the Dwarf and all his friends who have made this occasion possible!"
Narrator: "Suddenly, there was a strange sound. Sneezy and Sleepy smiled. They knew who it was.
With lights shining brightly, Goofy arrived carefully at the party, bringing the greatest surprise of all; Father Christmas! Everyone cheered, and the party began.
Bashful: "It's no fun getting stuck in the snow,"
Narrator: "Bashful whispered to Sneezy,"
Bashful: "But it was worth it for this party. Happy Christmas, Sneezy, Happy Christmas, everybody!"
