Being John Mellencamp

While on the road trip to Miami of Ohio in April 2006, T-Rex, SOG and Cowboy were in search of some tunes to combat Tripod's incessant video game theme songs. After much pondering, they settled on John Mellencamp's Greatest Hits.

Tripod originally dismissed the unfamiliar noise as country music, which it isn't, and Ryan and Alex continued to refute Tripod's claims of inferiority.

Soon after, as the music lovers in the car were discussing Mellencamp's work, Tripod asked the following brilliant question:

"Isn't that a movie?...'Being John Mellencamp'?"

He was more than likely thinking of Being John Malkovich The laughter that ensued can best be described not-so-much as "cracking up," but more like "Did he actually just say that?" laughter. Obviously, John had never seen that show.
