Oil spills is an environmental problem because during the process of transporting the oil over the ocean, pipelines may break. Oil spills contaminate coasts and cause human health problems. Oil is a mixture of hydrocarbon compounds, which are the decayed remains of marine animalsand plants that lived in shallow inland seas, died, and drifted to the bottom. Crude oil is a mixture of gas, naphtha, kerosine, light gas, and residuals, which have different health effects. When an oil spill occurs, it can cause heath problems to marine life. Problems such as drowning due to heavy density of oil on fur/outer layer or respitory problems. Oil was a problem then and is still a problem because there is still a chnace that the pipelines can burst.
