Boston has many day spas and salons. Most are located on the famous commercial shopping area of Newbury Street in the Back Bay. Newbury Street is world famous for high end clothing shops, luxurious day spas and high priced/high fashion hair salons.

A recent trend for those starting new spa and salon businesses in Boston is to locate high quality spas and salons in some of the trendy and more interesting neighborhoods within the city. One recent upstart in this competitive field is Nami Spa in Boston's South End. Nami Spa is a full service day spa and salon that was inspired by Japanese philosophies on nature, beauty and customer service. Nami is the Japanese word for "wave" and owner Nicole Mills believes that like waves, no two bodies are the same.
