Buy or Avoid

Buy or Avoid is a series of topics by sora250. It is intended to be a purchasing guide for Wii owners, providing them with a list of games recommended to be bought, a list of games recommended to be avoided, and a list of games recommended to be rented. The results are gained by getting board users to vote whether the game should be bought, avoided, or rented. These scores are then tallied up, and the game is put in the category in which it got the most votes.

The Buy or Avoid topics, along with other game rating topics, have come under fire by some users. The most common criticism is that there is no way to prove whether or not the person has actually played the game, and thus, people may be commenting on games outside of their actual experience. There is also no way to prevent fanboys and trolls from rating games extremely high or extremely low.
