Narrator: "Michael Darling was enjoying his work in the vicarage orchard. Birds were singing, and apples were ripening on the trees. It was a lovely day."
Donald Duck: "Hello, Michael."
Narrator: "Said Donald.
Donald Duck: "You look as bright and cheerful as my white feathers."
Michael: "Oh, I am."
Narrator: "Replied Michael."
Donald Duck: "What's that noise?"
Narrator: "Asked Donald."
Michael: "It's the bees.
Narrator: "Laughed Michael."
Michael: "They're all in these boxy things called beehives. I'm taking them to the station. Bert says his bees make good honey, and he's giving some of them to his friends."
Narrator: "Just then, John Smith hummed in."
John Smith: "Take care, you two. Don't make the bees angry. They might sting you."
Narrator: "Donald didn't like being told what to do by a human, and he buzzed away."
John Smith: "Goodbye, Michael."
Narrator: "Called John Smith, and set off to see Jiminy Cricket at the next station.
Chip and Dale, the chipmunk twins, were busy arranging pirates, but they scampered off when they saw John Smith."
John Smith: "I remember the first time I met those two."
Narrator: "Laughed John Smith."
John Smith: "They nearly made my eyes pop out. Hercules soon put a stop to their games."
Jiminy Cricket: "Hercules is the only one who can keep Chip and Dale in order."
Narrator: "Chuckled Jiminy."
Jiminy Cricket: "I sometimes call them 'The Bees'."
John Smith: "A good name."
Narrator: "Replied John Smith."
John Smith: "They're terrors when they start buzzing around."
Narrator: "Donald bustled in."
Donald: "What's that, Jiminy?
Narrator: "He snorted."
Donald: "Are you afraid of bees? They're only insects, after all, so don't let that buzzbox human tell you different."
Jiminy Cricket: "His name is John Smith, and he didn't. We..."
Donald: "I wouldn't care.
Narrator: "Interrupted Donald."
Donald: "If hundreds were swarming around. I'd just blow at them and make them buzz off."
Jiminy Cricket: "Buzz buzz buzz."
Narrator: "Retorted Jiminy.
The next morning, Donald arrived at the station to collect his flowers. The passengers were excited, and keen to get on board. The platform was crowded, and the porter was in a hurry."
Porter: "Mind your backs."
Narrator: "He shouted.
Then, there was trouble. The beehive fell and broke open.
The station cleared like magic.
Donald heard a familiar buzzing. The bees were too cold to be cross, so they buzzed around his animator, hoping he'd mend their hive, but he didn't understand, so the bees turned to Donald. His sailor suit was nice and warm."
Donald: "Buzz off! Buzz off!"
Narrator: "Hissed Donald.
One bee burnt his foot."
Bee: "Ooh, aah, ooh! ooh!"
Narrator: "The bee thought Donald burnt him on purpose.
So it stung Donald right back on the beak."
Narrator: "Whistled Donald. He had had enough. So had his animator.
They didn't notice till' too late that they had left all of their flowers behind. They tried everything to get rid of the bees.
First, they spun around on the turntable, but to no avail.
They tried washing them off, but the bees clung harder to Donald's warm sailor suit.
Then they tried smoking them off by going through a long tunnel, but still, the bees wouldn't go away.
Donald's Animator: "It's no good, Donald."
Narrator: "Said his animator."
Donald's Animator: "We'll just have to go back to the orchard, and fetch another hive."
Narrator: "Donald's reply was drowned by the sound of buzzing.
Bert was waiting anxiously for Donald.
When he arrived, the bees swarmed straight into their new home."
Donald's Animator: "Come on, Donald."
Narrator: "Said his animator."
Donald's Animator: "What you need now is a good hose-down."
Narrator: "Later that day, Donald was resting in his house, when Bert came to see him."
Bert: "Thank you for saving my bees."
Narrator: "He said."
Bert: "It's a pity it's not Christmas; then we could call you Donald the red-beaked reinduck!"
Narrator: "Everyone laughed, even Donald. But instead, they decided to call Donald "The Bees' Knees, which means they thought he was more useful than ever."
