  • (The Thomas Season 5 intro is shown and we begin Bye George!)
  • Alec Baldwin: One day, George the Steam Roller waiting for Percy to take him to a new workplace. George was being rude to Rheneas and Skarloey.
  • George: You're just worn out wheels on worn out rails!
  • Skarloey: You need rocks for your roads.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Skarloey.
  • Skarloey: And we're helping you.
  • George: I need to flatten little engines in the scrapyard.
  • Alec Baldwin: Retorted George. Then Percy arrived to take George away. He was still rebelling.
  • George: Railways are no good! Turn them into roads!
  • Alec Baldwin: The little engines were pleased to see him go. George grumbled all the way to the old branch line. He was going to turn it into a road. When they arrived, George was rude again.
  • George: Bumpy ride on rotten rails. I'm glad it's over.
  • Percy: So am I.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
  • George: Huh!
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed George. Percy was still fuming when he met Thomas.
  • Thomas: What's up, Percy?
  • Percy: It's George. He makes me feel down.
  • Thomas: Just ignore him.
  • Alec Baldwin: Puffed Thomas. George was now enjoying himself.
  • George: Ripping up rails!
  • Alec Baldwin: He chortled.
  • George: What a life. What did you think of this, Thomas?
  • Alec Baldwin: Thomas took no notice. George felt insulting.
  • George: You're a useless blue puffball!
  • Alec Baldwin: But Thomas didn't hear.
  • George: I'll show him who's boss?
  • Alec Baldwin: At last, the workmen reached the level crossing.
  • Workman: What shall we do here?
  • George: Tear it up, tarmacing.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said George. So they did but not properly and George knew it. Later, Thomas was travelling home on the same line. He was pulling freight cars filled with vegetables. The signalman had forgotten to warn his driver about the crossing.
  • Thomas: That's nice. We don't need to stop.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas happily.
  • Thomas' Driver: Yes we do.
  • Alec Baldwin: Called his driver. But it was too late.
  • (Thomas slides off the rails, rolls down a field and crashes into a barn)
  • Alec Baldwin: Next day, Percy told Gordon all about George.
  • Gordon: Huh.
  • Alec Baldwin: Snorted Gordon.
  • Gordon: You're just a small engine. That's why he's rude to you. He wouldn't dare cause me any trouble.
  • Alec Baldwin: George had been taken to some yards to work. Duck arrived with a train of empty freight cars. George was blocking his way and a car was stuck on the main line.
  • Duck: Let me through.
  • Alec Baldwin: Demanded Duck.
  • George: You'll just have to wait.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied George.
  • Duck: There's no time to wait. I must clear my freight cars from the main line to let Gordon through.
  • George: Then you'll had to wait too.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said George. Duck's driver went to complain to the stationmaster. But the signalman had set the signal to allow Gordon to speed through. His passengers with singing his praises and he was making express time.
  • Gordon: I'm the greatest. Just watch me fly by.
  • Alec Baldwin: He whistled long and loud as he approached the station. Suddenly, he saw a freight car on the line ahead.
  • Gordon: Get out of my way!
  • Alec Baldwin: But the freight car wouldn't move until Gordon forced it, by accident. Gordon was worried that Sir Topham Hatt would be cross. He was but not with Gordon.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Whoever cause this disturbance will have me to answer to.
  • Alec Baldwin: And he did, a few days later.
  • Thomas: Look who's here.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas. George had been found out by Sir Topham Hatt and punished. He looked miserable.
  • Percy: Now we'll get some peace and last.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
  • George: I wanna get rolling again. But i had to wait a whole week till i do.
  • Thomas: And then you'll be just as rude as ever. Eh, George?
  • George: I hope not. Don't you?
  • (A nameplate sequence occurs and we begin Put Upon Percy)
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy puffed grumpily into the yards. He was feeling put upon and said so.
  • Percy: I feel put upon.
  • Alec Baldwin: He complained to Thomas. Thomas was confused.
  • Thomas: Put upon what? The rails?
  • Percy: No, put upon with work. Driver says he is too.
  • Thomas: Put upon. What a silly saying.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Thomas. But Annie and Clarabel liked it and they sang about it, too.
  • Annie and Clarabel: (singing) Percy's been put upon, put upon, put upon. Percy's been put upon, poor old Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy is being put upon.
  • Percy: I am, i am, i am.
  • Alec Baldwin: He collected metal from the foundry, coal from the yards, flour from the mills, rock from the quarries and fuel from the depot. Then he delivered it all to the docks. Next he collected some empty freight cars.
  • Freight Cars: Who's this dirty little engine.
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried the freight cars.
  • Freight Cars: We want Thomas or Duck.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy ignored them.
  • Percy: Put upon, put upon. That's what i am.
  • Alec Baldwin: That night all the engines laughed at him.
  • Thomas: We can see what's put upon you.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Silence!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Percy you done a good day's work. Now get a good night's rest.
  • Percy: Yes, sir. Thank you, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Next morning, he took some freight cars to the coal yards. Then he had to push some empty freight cars to the mine shaft. When he arrived, there was trouble. The foreman spoke to his driver.
  • Foreman: The freight cars are stuck in the mechanism. All they need is a good push.
  • Percy's Driver: We'll do it right away.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy shunted back to were a large canvas barrier was used to protect his line from loose rocks. Percy charged into the line of freight cars too fast and too hard.
  • Percy: Oh, no.
  • Alec Baldwin: Gasped Percy. The freight cars broke free, but ran out of control to the mines below.
  • Freight Cars: On, on, faster, faster!
  • Alec Baldwin: The silly freight cars yelled. Then there was trouble again.
  • (The freight cars hit the pole and we hear a siren and the mine rumbling)
  • Miner: Get out of here fast! The mine's collapsing!
  • Percy's Driver: We'll just have to make a run for it, Percy!
  • Alec Baldwin: Called his driver.
  • Percy: There's going to be an avalanche!
  • Alec Baldwin: Wailed Percy. And he was right. Worse still, the track he was on began to crumble.
  • Percy: Oh, help!
  • Alec Baldwin: Wailed Percy. Then he remembered something he had seen earlier.
  • Percy: There's the canvas barrier by the track. That might save us.
  • Alec Baldwin: They were just in time.
  • (The avalanche starts to bury Percy completely)
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy was right. The canvas did indeed save them, but the miners didn't know that.
  • Foreman: The avalanche has buried an engine and its crew.
  • Alec Baldwin: Shouted the foreman.
  • Foreman: We must help them.
  • Alec Baldwin: When Percy had been rescued, Sir Topham Hatt spoke to his driver and fireman then to Percy.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Driver told me how brave you were, Percy. As a reward you will be repainted at the works.
  • Percy: Oh thank you, Sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: When he returned, Percy's coat glistened in the sun.
  • Thomas: I'm sorry I teased you, Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: You were certainly put upon by that avalanche.
  • Percy: Yes indeed. But just look at my new coat of paint. Now I don't mind that being put upon me.
  • (Another nameplate sequence occurs and we begin Stepney Gets Lost)
  • Alec Baldwin: Stepney the Bluebell Engine works closely with his friend Rusty. One day, Sir Topham Hatt came to see him.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Rusty tells me you're in need of a change. So i want you to help Toby and Mavis at the quarry.
  • Stepney: Oh, thank you, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Stepney.
  • Stepney: Shall i be away long.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Just today. But please be careful. It is easy to get lost up there so be back before dark.
  • Stepney's Driver: We will.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said the driver. Stepney soon arrived at the quarry.
  • Toby: We're glad you're here to help us.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Toby.
  • Stepney: Are these my cars?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked Stepney.
  • Mavis: Only some of them. There's masses more in the sidings.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Mavis.
  • Stepney: The more the marier.
  • Alec Baldwin: Stepney was really enjoying himself. The dustier he became, the harder he worked. Mavis and Toby were impressed. Then the foreman spoke to his driver.
  • Foreman: We have a night special to take to bulding site at the new branch line. Do you want to pull the train?
  • Stepney's Driver: Yes please.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said the driver. But he should have asked Sir Topham Hatt first. Night came.
  • Toby: Be careful, Stepney.
  • Alec Baldwin: Advised Toby.
  • Stepney: I will and thank you for a lovely day. I do hope i can come back again.
  • Mavis: The line can be spooky.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Mavis.
  • Stepney: Thank you for the warning.
  • Alec Baldwin: And with that, Stepney puffed away. Stepney arrived on time and made the delivery of rocks and stones for the workmen. Then he set off for home. That's when the trouble began. The fog came down.
  • Stepney: Mavis was right. Suddenly, everything does look spooky.
  • Stepney's Driver: There's a signalbox.
  • Alec Baldwin: Called his driver.
  • Stepney's Driver: And the signal light is green. Someone must have been expecting us.
  • Alec Baldwin: But they weren't. The points had been set in the wrong direction, but Stepney didn't realize this.
  • Stepney: Home here we come.
  • Alec Baldwin: Then they approached an unknown area. The driver made a decision.
  • Stepney's Driver: It's best if we rest here until the fog clears.
  • Stepney: What are those strange sounds?
  • Alec Baldwin: Wondered Stepney. Then the fog slowly lifted.
  • Stepney: Oh, no. We're in the scrapyards.
  • Alec Baldwin: His driver and fireman went for help. Stepney was all alone, but not for long. Two diesels approached.
  • Arry: Got ya this time, Stepney, you'll make very fine scrap indeed. Buffer him, Bert.
  • Alec Baldwin: The diesels took him to the large smelter shed.
  • Arry: Bye bye, Stepney. (laughs)
  • Alec Baldwin: Stepney looked up. Above him was a huge grabber.
  • Stepney: This engine's not for scrapping!
  • Alec Baldwin: The grabber wasn't listening. But just as it was about to grab hold of him, it stopped. There stood Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: It's a good thing i'm visiting this yard tonight. Saving you from scrap is becoming a habit, Stepney, please stop it.
  • Stepney: Yes, sir. But i had learned something.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: What's that?
  • Stepney: There's no place like home.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: And that's exactly where you're going now.
  • Stepney: Bluebells forever.
  • (Another nameplate sequence occurs and we begin Thomas, Percy and Old Slowcoach)
  • Alec Baldwin: Thomas, Percy and James were looking at the early morning sky.
  • Thomas: Everyone's so much happier when springtime comes.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas.
  • James: Everyone except Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Alec Baldwin: Grumbled James.
  • James: He seems to be working us harder that ever. I'm tired of these coastal runs.
  • Percy: He just wants everything to be ready for the holidays.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Percy.
  • Percy: Anyway, salty air makes me all cheerful in my smokebox.
  • James: Pah!
  • Alec Baldwin: Snorted James.
  • James: It's the countryside that really gets me fired up, it's the only place to be!
  • Alec Baldwin: And he puffed away to collect his freight cars from the docks. Thomas and Percy have to take some empty freight cars to the scrap yards. In a siding, they saw an old slowcoach. She looked very sad.
  • Percy: What are you doing here?
  • Old Slowcoach: They called me Old Slowcoach, and told me I wasn't useful anymore. Now I only have mice ride in me.
  • Thomas: Well, you may be dusty, but you look in perfect shape.
  • Alec Baldwin: The Yard manager appeared.
  • Yard Manager: Come along, I have freight cars for you to take away.
  • Percy's Driver: Excuse me.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy's Driver.
  • Percy's Driver: Can you tell us about this coach?
  • Yard Manager: Old Slowcoach; she's been here for years. She'll be broken up when we find the time.
  • Alec Baldwin: The engines were dismayed.
  • Thomas: We'll try and help you.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas. But he didn't know how. Meanwhile, James was enjoying himself.
  • James: This is the life!
  • Alec Baldwin: He chortled, but he was heading for trouble. One of the fuel cars was leaking, and suddenly, it caught fire.
  • James: Oh, help!
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried James. They reached a siding, and his driver gave the alarm.
  • James' Driver: It's fuel, and it's dangerous.
  • Alec Baldwin: As Thomas and Percy approached the junction, they saw the smoke, and a guard waving a red flag.
  • Guard: Sparks from James' driver have set the cars ablaze.
  • Alec Baldwin: He called.
  • Guard: The fire's under control, but it's quite a mess.
  • Percy: You said the countryside run got you all 'fired up', James.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
  • Percy: But I didn't think you meant it in this way.
  • James: Pah!
  • Alec Baldwin: Snorted James.
  • James: It was the stupid cars' fault, not mine.
  • Fireman: It's safe to proceed now.
  • Alec Baldwin: Called a fireman. Thomas and Percy now felt sorry for James. It wasn't long before they reached the station. Later, as they were having a long drink at the water towers, they suddenly heard a commotion.
  • Thomas: What's the matter?
  • Alec Baldwin: Thomas asked.
  • Thomas' Driver: It's another fire at the workman's hut.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Thomas' Driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: We better see what we can do.
  • Alec Baldwin: The fire engines had a big problem.
  • Fireman: We are completely out of water!
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried a fireman.
  • Fireman: We can't use sea water cause' it clogs our works. We'll just have to let that building burn.
  • Alec Baldwin: Then Thomas had an idea.
  • Thomas: Why don't you use the water in our tanks? We've just refilled them.
  • Alec Baldwin: The firemen wasted no time.
  • Drivers: You're very clever engines.
  • Alec Baldwin: Chuckled their drivers. Soon, the fire was out, but the hut where the workmen lived was destroyed.
  • Foreman: The men can't sleep on the beach.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said the Foreman.
  • Percy: What about Old Slowcoach? She would be perfect for the workmen.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
  • Thomas: Comfy, too.
  • Alec Baldwin: Added Thomas.
  • Percy's Driver: What a good idea, Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver. They phoned Sir Topham Hatt, who agreed.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: She'll be spic and span by the time you collect her.
  • Alec Baldwin: And she was, and very happy, too.
  • Old Slowcoach: I can't thank you enough. I feel splendid.
  • Alec Baldwin: The engines buffered up to her, and she set off happily for her new home. Everyone agreed there was nothing old or slow about coach, and she will always be really useful indeed.
  • (Another nameplate sequence occurs and we begin Happy Ever After)
  • Alec Baldwin: The engines on the Island of Sodor loved holiday time. Percy was taking some freight cars to the docks. Terence the Tractor was working at a field close to the line.
  • Terence: Hello, Percy. Nice day for it, isn't it?
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy was confused.
  • Percy: Nice day for what?
  • Terence: Mrs. Kyndley's daughter is getting married today.
  • Percy: Oh yes. Of course.
  • Alec Baldwin: But when Percy saw Mrs. Kyndley, she was standing by her gate, waving a red flag.
  • Percy's Driver: What's the matter?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked the driver.
  • Mrs. Kyndley: I've forgotten about the good luck package for the bride.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy was puzzled.
  • Percy: What's a good luck package?
  • Mrs. Kyndley: It must contain something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Can you help please?
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy didn't know how but his driver was determined.
  • Percy's Driver: We'll certainly try.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy had to stop at Edward's station to take on water.
  • Percy: We've got to find a good luck package. Do you know what that is?
  • Edward: Oh, yes indeed. Something old, something new...
  • Percy: Something borrowed and something blue.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy cut in.
  • Percy: But where do we find them?
  • Alec Baldwin: Edward smiled.
  • Edward: They're probably staring you in your smokebox. Now i had to take a special train. I'm taking guests to the wedding.
  • Alec Baldwin: When Percy arrived at the docks, he looked all around him. Suddenly he saw a freight car. It was loaded with a new set of shiny buffers.
  • Percy: Look! Look! There's something new.
  • Percy's Driver: They're quite right, Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver.
  • Percy's Driver: Those buffers are just the ticket. I'll speak to the foreman.
  • Alec Baldwin: He returned shortly.
  • Percy's Driver: Foreman says we can use them and borrow the freight car as well. So that's two things we found. Something borrowed and something new.
  • Percy: But what about the other things?
  • Percy's Driver: I'm sure we'll find them too and we best be on our way.
  • Alec Baldwin: As Percy was shunting some freight cars into a siding, he heard a voice.
  • Old Slowcoach: Hello, Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: There was Old Slowcoach who he and Thomas had rescued from scrap.
  • Percy: You're it!
  • Alec Baldwin: Squeaked Percy.
  • Old Slowcoach: I'm what it?
  • Alec Baldwin: Said the coach.
  • Percy: The something old for the wedding.
  • Alec Baldwin: And then Percy explained.
  • Percy: Now we only had to find something blue. But what and where?
  • Percy's Driver: You'll see.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver. At last, they reached the village where the wedding was to take place. Ahead was an old engine shed.
  • Percy's Driver: What did you think of this, Percy?
  • Alec Baldwin: Laughed his driver.
  • Percy: Well bust my boiler, Thomas. What are you doing here?
  • Thomas: I've to something blue.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Thomas.
  • Percy's Driver: Now, Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver.
  • Percy's Driver: Mrs. Kyndley's chosen you to be her special guest.
  • Alec Baldwin: When the bride and groom left the church for the party, Sir Topham Hatt adressed everybody.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Ladies and gentlemen, may i present the good luck package. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. All found by Percy and his crew.
  • Alec Baldwin: The engines whistled and everyone cheered.
  • Bride: Thank you, Thomas and thank you, Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said the bride.
  • Bride: It's the best good luck package ever.
  • Alec Baldwin: And she kissed Percy. Thomas laughed as Percy blushed bright red.
  • Percy: I love weddings.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sighed Percy that night.
  • Thomas: Did you enjoy your kiss?
  • Alec Baldwin: But Percy was embarrassed and pretended to be asleep.
  • (Another nameplate sequence occurs and we begin Lady Hatt's Birthday Party)
  • Alec Baldwin: One summer's day, Thomas and Percy were idling at the station when Bertie the Bus arrived.
  • Bertie: Have you notice something?
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Bertie.
  • Thomas: What sort of something?
  • Bertie: Sir Topham Hatt. He, well, seems different.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Bertie.
  • Percy: I did see him staring at the clouds this morning.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
  • Percy: I wonder why.
  • Alec Baldwin: The reason was simple. It was Lady Hatt's Birthday, and Sir Topham Hatt had a new outfit.
  • Lady Hatt: It's perfect for my birthday party.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his wife.
  • Lady Hatt: You look splendid, Topham dear.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: And I'll wear my finest hat just for you.
  • Alec Baldwin: He replied.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Your birthday is a great occasion.
  • Lady Hatt: It is, so don't be late.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Don't worry, my dear. I shall be spic and span and right on time.
  • Alec Baldwin: Later the day, Sir Topham Hatt had changed into his new suit.
  • Stationmaster: You look fine, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said the stationmaster.
  • Stationmaster: You best be going.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Indeed.
  • Alec Baldwin: Agreed Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: The engines are busy, I'll take the car.
  • Stationmaster: Is it reliable?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked the stationmaster.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Certainly.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt. But it wasn't. As he sped along, he suddenly saw a large hole on the road. He break hard, but it was too late.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Bother! Now I got a puncher. If I change my wheel, I am sure to dirty my suit and that would never do.
  • Alec Baldwin: Just then, he heard Caroline.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I need you to attend my wife's birthday party and I cannot be late. Please give me a lift.
  • Caroline: I'll try, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: But Caroline didn't like going fast.
  • Caroline: I'm hot! My engine will overheat!
  • Alec Baldwin: And it did.
  • Caroline: Told you so.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Caroline sadly.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Bother, bother!
  • Alec Baldwin: Then he heard a loud whistle. It was George the Steamroller. George was cross when he saw Caroline.
  • George: Call yourself a car? You're disgrace for the road. Find yourself a scrapyard.
  • Alec Baldwin: Caroline spluttered in fury. George's driver was more polite.
  • Driver: Can I be your assistance, sir?
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Only if you can take me to my wife's birthday party.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sighed Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Driver: We can take you to Thomas.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied the Driver.
  • Driver: He's just down the line.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Much obliged.
  • Alec Baldwin: Then they rumbled away.
  • Caroline: What about me?
  • Alec Baldwin: Wailed Caroline.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I'll send for help.
  • Alec Baldwin: Called Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Stay there.
  • Caroline: That's all I can do.
  • Alec Baldwin: George was enjoying rolling along the lane, but not Sir Topham Hatt. Oil splashed everywhere. Worse was to follow.
  • George: Help!
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried George.
  • George: Something snapped!
  • Alec Baldwin: He veered out of control and Sir Topham Hatt landed into a muddy ditch close to where Thomas was taking on water.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Bother, bother!
  • Alec Baldwin: Thomas had never seen Sir Topham Hatt in such a mess.
  • Driver: Can I help you, sir?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked Thomas' driver.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Yes please. Get me to the station as fast as you can.
  • Driver: I'm afraid our fireman's taking ill.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Then I'll be your fireman.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sighed Sir Topham Hatt. Thomas was excited. Sir Topham Hatt had to work hard. Coal dust and smuck flew everywhere. At last, they reached the station. Sir Topham Hatt looked at the clock.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Just in time.
  • Alec Baldwin: He gasped. He hurried picked up a huge bunch of flowers.
  • Thomas: Good luck!
  • Alec Baldwin: Called Thomas. Sir Topham Hatt's wife was waiting for him. As the clock struck three, there stood Sir Topham Hatt, tired but triumph, he gave his wife the flowers.
  • Lady Hatt: Well, thank you, my dear. I noticed it was my special birthday party, but I didn't know it was fancy dress.
  • Alec Baldwin: Everyone laughed, and then the party began.
  • (Another nameplate sequence occurs and we begin Sir Topham Hatt's Holiday)
  • Alec Baldwin: One day, Sir Topham Hatt arranged with Thomas the Tank Engine to take his wife and grandchildren to the seaside. The sun shone and everywhere looked splendid. But, Lady Hatt was feeling hot and tired. She took her troubles out on Annie and Clarabel.
  • Lady Hatt: Those coaches are old and uncomfortable. Why don't you use them as beach hogs instead?
  • Alec Baldwin: Thomas was most upset.
  • Thomas: You don't let them turn Annie and Clarabel into beach hogs, will you?
  • Driver: Of course not, Thomas.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied his driver.
  • Driver: But I must admit they could be smarten up.
  • Alec Baldwin: The next day, Sir Topham Hatt used Percy to take his family to Harold's airfield. They were just about to board Harold when it happened.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Ooh, what was that?
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Harold: Uh, it's Tiger Moth.
  • Alec Baldwin: Grumbled Harold.
  • Harold: It's rude and flies much too low.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: So i can see. Please take us up Harold before there's another disturbance.
  • Alec Baldwin: A few days later, Harold arrived at their holiday home with bad news.
  • Harold's Pilot: Uh, It's Tiger Moth.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Harold's Pilot.
  • Harold's Pilot: It's gone missing. Do you wish to join the search party with us?
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I think i better. There's Tiger Moth.
  • Alec Baldwin: Called Sir Topham Hatt. Then he spoke to the pilot.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You are showing off and flying dangerously. I will speak to your controller and request that you are grounded.
  • Pilot: Yes, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied the pilot.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Now if you'll excuse me, I shall return to my holiday.
  • Pilot: Jolly good idea, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt arranged to meet up with Toby and Henrietta to take them somewhere special. They arrived at a small river inland.
  • Stephen and Bridget: What a beautiful boat!
  • Alec Baldwin: Exclaimed the children.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: It's my special treat.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt took the helm with his wife beside him.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: It's so nice to be away from the railway for once.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said to her.
  • Lady Hatt: And far cleaner.
  • Alec Baldwin: She replied. But life on the river is very different from that on the rails. The family were enjoying themselves so much that they forgot to watch where they were going.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Oh, botheration!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: We're stuck!
  • Alec Baldwin: And they were. Other boats try to pull them off the mudbank, but it was no use. Percy saw the commotion and stopped.
  • Driver: Is there anything we can do to help?
  • Alec Baldwin: Called his driver.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Yes, indeed there is. This is the life, isn't it, my dear?
  • Alec Baldwin: Soon, they arrived at a small station. There was Thomas with Annie and Clarabel who were looking as smart as their new paint inside and out.
  • Lady Hatt: My!
  • Alec Baldwin: Exclaimed Lady Hatt.
  • Lady Hatt: What splendid coaches. So much suitable for those beach hogs on wheels.
  • Alec Baldwin: No one said a word. But that evening, Annie and Clarabel spoke to Thomas.
  • Annie and Clarabel: It's very nice to get compliments, but no matter what we look like we're always be useful, won't we, Thomas?
  • Thomas: Of course.
  • Alec Baldwin: They're friend replied.
