Summer is coming and the TV Characters are looking forward to taking holidaymakers around the TV Sodor. One day, Mario announces that an airport is to built on TV Sodor, which will bring more holidaymakers than ever. Pingu & Yoshi go to the site of the new airport, only to discover that Wario & Waluigi are on the same job.
That afternoon, Pingu goes to the timber yard and finds Wario & Waluigi there. They boast that their job is very important, but Pingu doesn't think so and biffs their flatbeds just before the crane drops the timber. Whilst Pingu & Yoshi are shunting trucks, Diesel confronts Thomas about the trouble he'd caused for Wario & Waluigi, and boasts that he too has an important job.
After shunting trucks of bananas for Stewie as a prank, Pingu & Yoshi go to the Smelters to collect some steel girders. Upon arrival, they meet Bowser and are so scared that they run away. On their way home, Pingu & Yoshi are surprised to see the Sodor Suspension Bridge isn't painted and the new airport is only half-built. Worse still, Tidmouth Sheds have being demolished to make way for the new sheds, but since Pingu gave Stewie bananas the renovation is running late. That night, a fierce storm sweeps across TV Sodor and causes havoc. The next morning, Mario tells the engines that the storm damage must be cleared up before the work on the new sheds and the airport can continue.
The next morning, Pingu is sent to collect some iron beams for the suspension bridge from Brendam. Upon arrival at the suspension bridge, Pingu feels tired and the beams need to be placed. Stewie wants to do it, but the foreman decides to let Pingu do it. Pingu manages to lower the beams into place, to Stewie's fury.
When Pingu goes to collect paint for the bridge, Stewie biffs Pingu's flatbed so hard that paint splashes all over Pingu. When Pingu sees Wario he biffs him into a pile of gravel. In retaliation, Wario (dress up as a Ninja) biffs Bart under the coalhopper. The matter escalates until all the TV Characters are fighting when they were fighting the Hero theme from Kung Fu Panda was played. Rabbit & Mario were playing Snakes & Ladders but until they hear yelling & screaming outside it was the TV Characters fighting. Rabbit & Mario was both angry they want to Pooh's home, Pooh was recycling his hunny pots when Rabbit ask Pooh has got anything to stop the TV Characters fighting Pooh got Rabbit a new Hammer Rabbit was amazed whan Pooh got him a new Hammer, but he ask him dose he have a instant scream, Pooh ask dose he of Mario have it, Mario find it he put the booter and it scream so lond, and so long & by the end of the day, everyone is dirty and no work has been done.
Mario is angry at the delays and warns the TV Characters that anymore disturbances will put the railway out of business. That night, Pingu is dreaming on how to make things better when, in a dream, he sees Blaze and Brian working together. Blaze tells Pingu about teamwork, and Pingu goes off to find Pugwash as soon as he wakes up.
Pingu finds Pugwash at the wash-down and tells her about his plan: all of the TV Characters must work together to save the new airport and their home. Pingu & Pugwash gone to find Sooty and told him about the meeting. Pugwash explains to Sooty that they must talk to each other first, so Pingu suggests to have a meeting at the coaling plant the next day and Sooty will be magic then to be together. Pingu & Pugwash tell the TV Characters about the meeting, and Pingu decides to tell Bowser, but gets cold wheels and backs down. The next day, Pingu races to the coaling plant and gets there, just to see Wario & Waluigi almost calling the meeting off as the TV Characters start to argue about who is to blame for starting the trouble. Pingu explains that they must work together, and at last the TV Characters put their differences aside. When Budgie brings Mario, Pingu explains they have agreed to work together.
Very soon, the new airport is complete and the first aeroplane is sent to TV Sodor, but when Pingu's trucks come off the rails they hit the water tower, which falls to the ground and cracks the runway! The workmen quickly fix the runway, but they need Sideshow Bob to finish the job and with Little Ditcher on the other side of TV Sodor there is no chance of the aeroplane landing. Pingu quickly has an idea and rushes off to find Bowser. Pingu asks Bowser to help them and tells him that he'll be the most useful engine of the day. Diesel 10 agrees and he follows Pingu to the airport. Pugwash, Yoshi, 'Wario and Waluigi are surprised to see Pingu and Bowser working together. Helping out each other, they clear up the mess and Pingu collects Sideshow Bob.
With the runway smooth again, the aeroplane lands at last. The TV Characters have learnt that teamwork runs a railway, not opposition about their differences. That evening, the TV Characters are happy to see Tidmouth Sheds rebuilt, especially Pingi when she finds that she is staying at Tidmouth Sheds from now on.
