9 October 2007.
Cathy Hill Executive Director Simon Fraser Community Services 8888 University Drive Burnaby, BC V5A 1S6
Dear Ms. Hill,
I am writing on behalf of the PLAY Foundation to request the $50,000 government grant be implemented into our PLAY campaign. We understand that this is a large amount of money that the SFSS is going to invest, and we believe that this campaign fits the criteria of a non-profit cause befitting of the Society.
The PLAY campaign aims to create awareness about health, physical fitness and nutrition for elementary school age children. PLAY targets the Lower Mainland audience in fun, dynamic presentations that engage students, parents, and faculty and help facilitate key concepts and implement skills that children can use on a day-to-day basis as part of a healthy and active lifestyle.
In an effort to achieve the winning bid, we invite you, the Executive Director, or a representative from the SFSS, to our pilot presentation on Tuesday, November 20th, 2007, at Brentwood Park Elementary,Burnaby BC. Our secretary will contact you in the coming week to confirm details. We thank you for your time and consideration.
