Daisuke Midori (翠だいすけ Midori Daisuke?) is a double-agent working for the Omega Order and North Korea. He was a longtime friend of Michiru Murasaki. After Michiru was fired from the Kyoto police force, he introduced her to the Kusanagi ninja clan. However, he betrayed her on a mission in 1982, leaving her to be rescued days later by Alec Langley. He later fought with Michiru at the Nijō Castle, but was vanquished.

Abilities

Daisuke Midori is an expert in the use of ninjutsu. Some of his abilities used in Sapphire Episode II include:

  • Fire Style: Flame Trap(火遁・火罠の術 (Katon: Kawana no Jutsu?): Daisuke summons a ring of green flames that surround him and his opponent. The flames do not dissipate until one of the combatants is defeated.

Name

"Midori" is a Japanese family and female given name meaning "green". His last name was previously "Kawashima", a Japanese last name meaning "river island".

Chinese Name

Daisuke's Chinese given name, "Dàdiăn", means "Ceremony" in English and translates to "Daisuke" in Japanese.
