Deal Or No Deal (UK) Statistics (Series 3b)

From Scratchpad

Jump to: navigation, search

This is a summary of episodes from the second half of the current (third) series of the UK version of the game show Deal or No Deal, following on from the special Christmas episodes, screened at the end of 2007.

Records for Series 1a, Series 1b, Series 2a, Series 2b and Series 3a are also available.

The highlighted amount shows the amount actually won by the contestant, either by dealing, or by continuing to the end and opening their box or a swapped box (swaps shown in orange). Offers shown after the deal was made are "hypothetical" offers if they had played on.

[edit] Footnotes

  1. The players from before christmas stars week returned to continue the show as usual.
  2. The Banker said that Hayley could have an offer after every box in the final round becuase it was New Years Eve. Hayley dealt at the £6,000 offer.
  3. Hayley said that she would have swapped her box # 20 containing £20,000 for box # 10 containing 10p.
  4. The banker said that, as Glen had had such an unlucky game, whatever he won would be doubled. So, instead of winning £100 or £1,000, Glen was going to win £200 or £2,000. Unfortunately, Glen has £100 in his box, hence won £200.
  5. Katie is the player to turn down the largest sum of money (£23,500) before winning a penny, taking this title off Adam Fields who turned down £20,000 to win the same amount.
  6. Mark S is Deal or No Deal's first deaf contestant. He had his communicator, Barbara, along side him to assist him in what is being said.
  7. After the game, the Banker offered Natasha a ticket to Jamaica as a bonus. Natasha had mentioned earlier that she wanted to visit relatives there.
  8. Simon swapped away his box #9, containing £1, for box #8, containing 1p.
  9. The banker said that Semi could "undeal" the £14,000 he had already dealt in order to win the contents of his box. The banker also said that Semi would be able to swap his box if he wished.
  10. Semi swapped away his box #16, containing £10,000 for box #22, containing £20,000.
  11. Ruth took the place of Joy, who was absent through illness.
  12. The five shows beginning on February 11th were dubbed "Love Week". Every contestant who played the game this week received a heart-shaped medallion at the beginning of their game. They would give this to another of the players. The game worked as normal until the player wearing the medallion was chosen to open their box, at which point the Banker would make an additional offer.
  13. Joy returned to the show, after being away for 10 shows through illness.
  14. Shaz swapped away her box #9 containing £5 for box #6 containing 10p.
  15. The banker said that George could "undeal" the £15,000 he had already dealt in order to win the contents of his box.
  16. The banker changed Alex's offer twice, following comments from other players.
  17. There were four Easter Specials, beginning on March 20th. Each game included twists, involving three Easter eggs (1 good, 2 bad). The Easter egg twists were different in each special.
  18. If Jo Jo dealt at the third offer, she could open an egg; if she opened the good egg, she would win an extra £10,000.
  19. If Jo Jo dealt at the fourth offer, she could open 2 eggs; if she opened the good egg, she would win an extra £20,000.
  20. If Jo Jo dealt at the fifth offer, she could open an egg; if she opened the good egg, she would win an extra £10,000. Jo Jo opened a bad egg, so her prize remained £20,000.
  21. If Mark dealt at the fourth offer, he could open an egg; if he opened a bad egg, he would only win 1p.
  22. After the fifth round, Mark could open an egg; if he opened the good egg, he would get an offer after each box in the following round. Mark successfully found the good egg.
  23. If Gemma dealt at the fourth offer, she could open an egg; if she opened the good egg, she would win an extra £18,000.
  24. If Gemma dealt at the fifth offer, she could open an egg; if she opened the good egg, she would win an extra £15,000.
  25. If Gemma dealt at the sixth offer, she could open an egg; if she opened the good egg, she would win an extra £8,000.
  26. Matty swapped away his box #3 containing £50,000 for box #17 containing 1p.
  27. If Matty dealt at the third offer, he could open an egg; if he opened the good egg, he would win an extra £15,000.
  28. After the fifth round, Matty could open an egg; if he opened the good egg, he would get an offer after each box in the following round. Matty opened one of the bad eggs.
  29. Matty is now, arguably, the player to turn down the largest sum of money before winning a penny, as one of his offers included a 33% chance of winning £35,000. This is equivalent to an expected outcome of £25,000 which beats Katie's £23,500 peak offer from January 5.
  30. Derek holds the record for the lowest peak offer in a game.
  31. After the third round, the Banker offered Bash £10,000 as well as £2,500 to give to Derek, the previous day's player.
