Der GÜTZ
From Scratchpad
Der GÜTZ is the title of the fictional Nazi Germany version of Nickelodeon GUTS.
[edit] Creation
During a post show gathering at the home of Tripod and T. Rex the love of old Nickelodeon shows was mentioned. From this Hallway mentioned how he would love to have a piece of the GUTS Aggrocrag trophy sitting on his mantle to show off to any prospective lovers. Individuals present then began to discuss how game shows also gave kids a trip to locations like Space Camp. Tripod then commented, "What if they said Space Camp but then sent you to a work camp?"
Hallway then responded, "They tried that. It was called 1940 Germany and it failed miserably, thankfully."
After that remark an advertisement for der GÜTZ was created in a brainstorming frenzy. It corresponds as follows: "Scale sie Aggrokraggen and win a trip to Space (concentration*) Camp. You and 150 of your friends take a boxcar trip and will build V2 rockets for the Reich Stacht."
- "Concentration" is often said in a quieter tone or by another person familiar with the advertisement
[edit] Antisemitism
With a rich history of Jewish performers in the Ship of Fools, they deny any form of antisemitism. They view the events of the Holocaust as an extreme atrocity and have the utmost respect for individuals that endured such a travesty. The people present were parodying GUTS not the Holocaust.
[edit] Trivia
Though not spelled correctly, when pronounced "Der GÜTZ" literally means "The Good(s)" in German.
