Digimon Adventures, known outside of Japan as the first season of Digimon: Digital Monsters, is a Japanese Television Anime series created by Akiyoshi Hongo and produced by Toei Animation in cooperation with Bandai and Fuji Television . An English-language version produced by Saban Entertainment and Fox Kids aired in North America. Around the same time Fox Television made a similar dub with producer Chris Columbus during its prime time lineup. It turned out to be as big a success as the Saban version of not even bigger winning an Annie award with three other nominations, an Emmy nomination and a Kids Choice Award.
