Diictodon was a small burrowing reptile. It was also a mammal-like reptile, aka a forerunner to the mammals.
Diictodon was a member of the dicynodonts, a subdivision in the Therapsids. They were large, herbivorous and successful in the Permian and Triassic. They also had two tusks, to help dig for roots and even for defence (or fighting rivals).
Diictodon was a burrowing dicynodont. It was small, and lived in burrows underground. They were fast, with a long body (perfectly adapted for living in burrows).
