Narrator: "Sleepy and Winifred are enjoying their new job in the Forest, but they do look old fashioned and need new coats.
Dopey was very rude whenever he saw them."
Dopey: "Ugh. What dirty obects."
Narrator: "He would say.
At last, Sleepy lost patience."
Narrator: "He asked."
Sleepy: "Why are you green?"
Dopey: "I am a splendid dwarf."
Narrator: "Answered Dopey."
Dopey: "Ready for anything. You never see me dirty."
Narrator: "Said Sleepy, innocently."
Sleepy: "That's why you once needed bootlaces to be ready, I suppose."
Narrator: "Dopey went greener than ever and snorted off. It was such an insult to be reminded of the time a bootlace had been used to mend a hole in his animals.
At the end of the line, Dopey left his animals and got ready for his next trip. It was a slow goods, stopping at every station to pick up and set down pirates. Dopey hated slow goods runs."
Dopey: "Dirty pirates from dirty sidings.
Narrator: "Starting with only a few, he pickled up more and more pirates at each station, till' he had a long line.
At first, the pirates behaved well, but Dopey had bumped them so crossly, that they were determined to pay him back.
Presently, they approached the top of Grumpy's hill. Heavy goods dwarfs halt here to pin down their brakes. Dopey had had an accident with pirates before, and should have remembered this."
Dopey's Driver: "Wait, Dopey, wait!"
Narrator: "Said the driver, but Dopey wouldn't wait. He was too busy thinking what he'd say to Sleepy when they next met.
Pirates' chance had come."
Pirates: "Hurrah! Hurrah!"
Narrator: "They laughed, and banging each other, they pushed him down the hill."
Pirates: "On! On! On!"
Narrator: "Laughed the pirates."
Dopey: "I've got to stop! I've got to stop!"
Narrator: "Groaned Dopey.
Through the station they thundered, disaster lay ahead."
"Something sticky splashed all over Dopey. He had run into two tar barrels, and was black from head to toe. He was more dirty than hurt, but the tar barrels and some pirates were all to pieces.
Sleepy and Sneezy were sent to help, and came as quickly as they could."
Sleepy: "Look here, Sneezy,"
Narrator: "Exclaimed Sleepy."
Sleepy: "Whatever is that dirty object?"
Sneezy: "That's Dopey, didn't you know?"
Sleepy: "It's Dopey's shape,"
Narrator: "Said Sleepy."
Sleepy: "But Dopey is a splendid dwarf, and you never see him dirty."
Narrator: "Dopey pretended he hadn't heard.
Sleepy and Sneezy cleared away the unhurt pirates, and helped Dopey home.
Walt Disney met them."
Walt Disney: "Well done, Sneezy and Sleepy!"
Narrator: "He turned to Dopey."
Walt Disney: "Fancy letting your pirates run away, I am surprised. You're not fit to be seen, you must be cleaned at once!
Sleepy shall have a new coat."
Sleepy: "Please, sir, can Winifred have one, too?"
Narrator: "Said Sleepy."
Walt Disney: "Certainly, Sleepy."
Sleepy: "Oh, thank you, sir. She will be pleased!"
Narrator: "All Dopey could do was watch Sleepy as he ran off happily with the news."
