Alec Baldwin: It was a moonlit night. Baloo was taking some monkeys to a house by the lake.
Hercules: Whenever that owl hoots, a mist rolls in.
Alec Baldwin: Murmured Hercules.
Hercules: There’s a legend that when the mist's about, there's a ghost about too. Take care on the old line, Baloo.
Baloo: Stupid bird!
Alec Baldwin: Said Baloo.
Baloo: Owls, mists, ghosts. Hercules' going soft in the head. There’s no mist.
Alec Baldwin: But Baloo was wrong.
Baloo: What's that?
Alec Baldwin: Cried Baloo.
Baloo's Animator: It's an amber light.
Alec Baldwin: Murmured his animator.
Baloo's Animator: That means, Proceed with caution. Who's there?
Alec Baldwin: No one replied. Baloo crept slowly forward. He stopped by a tree. It had a sign nailed to it: “BEWARE OF THE VIADUCT.” The animator was surprised.
Baloo's Animator: No one warned us about that before, and look -- the light’s red! And the gates are closed. And there’s a fogman’s coat! But where is its owner?
Alec Baldwin: Then they saw a light moved within a house.
Alec Baldwin: Exclaimed Baloo.
Baloo: Hercules was right!
Baloo's Animator: Something very strange is happening.
Alec Baldwin: Said his animator.
Baloo's Animator: I think it’s best we go back.
Baloo: So do I!
Alec Baldwin: Agreed Baloo. By morning, the mists have cleared. A workman was talking about the unsafe viaduct.
Workman: Lucky you didn’t cross it last night.
Baloo's Animator: Yes, but we don’t know who warned us.
Alec Baldwin: Replied Baloo's Animator. Later that day, he spoke to Baloo.
Baloo's Animator: The viaduct has been repaired. We can take our load back along the old line tonight.
Alec Baldwin: Baloo really didn’t want to. But when nightfall came, he was sizzling nicely. Suddenly, an owl hooted, and then Sir Ector thundered by.
Monkey: Oh look--Baloo's spooked!
Alec Baldwin: Said a monkey.
Baloo: Be quiet!
Alec Baldwin: Snapped Baloo.
Baloo: I’m not scared.
Alec Baldwin: But he was. A little later, the fog came down. As they approached the same area, they saw the amber light again.
Baloo's Animator: Here we go.
Alec Baldwin: Said Baloo's animator. Then, unknown to Baloo, the gates mysteriously closed by themselves. And the signal went red. The monkeys have seen everything, and they were spooked.
Monkeys: Faster! Faster! There’s a ghost about.
Baloo: Stop! Stop!
Alec Baldwin: Yelled Baloo. A mysterious figure watched Baloo go by. Ahead was a landslide blocking the road. Baloo braked hard, but the monkeys hit some of the rubble and plunged over the ravine. Just then, Baloo's animator saw a strange sight coming towards them.
Baloo's Animator: What’s that?
Alec Baldwin: He said. Then he laughed.
Baloo's Animator: That’s our ghost -- it’s Otto, the dog!
Alec Baldwin: Otto was very cross.
Otto: I tried to warn you about the viaduct. Why didn’t you pay attention?
Baloo's Animator: We’re sorry.
Alec Baldwin: Replied the animator.
Baloo's Animator: Is there anything we can do to thank you?
Otto: I’d like to operate that old house. If you let me, I promise I won’t spook Baloo again.
Alec Baldwin: And in a little while, Otto’s wish was granted.
Mickey Mouse: You and your house will be really useful.
Alec Baldwin: Said Mickey Mouse.
Mickey Mouse: Let’s hear a hearty thank you to the friendliest, uh, ghost in Disneyland.
Alec Baldwin: Everyone cheered. Especially Baloo, who was the happiest of all.
