  • Mr. Conductor 2: Henry had fish on hand. I'll tell you.
  • (Mr. Conductor 2 blows his whistle and Something In The Air starts)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: One day, Thomas was at the keyside of a small village. An early morning catch of fish were being loaded into his trucks. The work took a long time, the fishermen were using old equipment and Thomas was worried.
  • Thomas: I'm going to be late for Henry at the docks. He won't like this. Please hurry up and...
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Thomas was rudely interrupted.
  • (The crate containing fish inside falls on top of Thomas)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: His driver and fireman laughed.
  • Thomas: Phew!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Sniffed Thomas.
  • Thomas: What a pong!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: He was glad when they were speeding along the beautiful coastal run. Then, as they approach the lighthouse he saw a man waving a red flag.
  • Thomas: What's the matter now?
  • Man: High tides are damaging the track.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Reported the man.
  • Man: I've marked the spot.
  • Thomas' Driver: We'll go and inspect.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said the Driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: It would be dangerous for heavy engines like Henry.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Agreed the driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: But for Thomas, it's safe enough.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: The guard left a red oil lamp by the damaged track to warn engines.
  • Guard: When we get to the docks, i'll tell them to close the line.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Henry was waiting anxiously for Thomas' trucks.
  • Henry: Pah! You're late and that smell is making me ill!
  • Thomas: I can't help it, It's the fish!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Replied Thomas.
  • Thomas: And there's danger on the rails. That's why we're late.
  • Henry: Ha! You're the only danger on the rails, Thomas. Now stop wasting time and get my trucks hitched to my train.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Thomas' driver and fireman were in the yard master's office when they heard Henry's whistle. There he was, steaming out of the station with his long heavy train called The Flying Kipper.
  • Thomas' Driver: What rude is Henry taking tonight?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Asked the Driver.
  • Yard Master: The coastal run. It's the quickest.
  • Thomas' Driver: But i told you! That's dangerous for a big engine like Henry!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: The yard master quickly phoned the signalman. Henry roared past the signalbox.
  • Henry: I'll soon make up for lost time.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: The signalman answered the telephone, but he couldn't hear the warning. By the time he did, Henry was far away in a cloud of steam. But when Henry reached the coastal track, his hopes for a fast run were dashed. Fog floated everywhere.
  • Henry: I can't see!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Cried Henry. Nor could his driver. When he could, it was too late.
  • (Henry falls down into the deep water)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: As soon as the tide was high enough, Henry was craned out of the water.
  • The Fat Controller: Engines don't swim, Henry. You were meant to deliver fish not swim with them.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said The Fat Controller
  • The Fat Controller: You should know that by now.
  • Henry: Yes, sir. I'm sorry, sir.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: When Henry arrived at the docks, Cranky the Crane looked down on him disdainfully.
  • Cranky: My, my, Henry. I expect you'll have some fishy tales to tell. But take my advice, have a long hosedown first.
  • Henry: Pah!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Hissed Henry, But there was worse to come.
  • Boy 1: Look! They've caught all this fish and a green whale too.
  • Boy 2: It's not a whale, it's a monster.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Henry was most upset. Thomas now felt sorry for Henry.
  • Thomas: Come on. Your driver says it's time for a nice washdown. Then you'll feel much better.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: And Henry did.
  • Henry: I'm sorry i was rude to you, Thomas.
  • Thomas: That's all right. But can you smell something?
  • Henry: W-W-What?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Asked Henry nervously
  • Thomas: Fresh air.
  • Henry: Oh yes.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Replied Henry.
  • (Something In The Air ends)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: You know, Henry didn't like the fish.
  • Raichu: Rai.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Bruno is another member of The Vermilion Gang.
  • Jolteon: Jolt Jolt.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He's a fighting maniac.
  • Magneton: Magneton.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Oliver had a discovery. I'll tell you.
  • (Mr. Conductor 2 blows his whistle and Oliver's Find starts)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Oliver and his break van Toad liked working in the big yards, but one morning, Toad noticed that Oliver was unhappy. He decided to find out why.
  • Toad: Uh, excuse me, Mr. Oliver. It seems to me that things are not well with you, if you forgive for mentioning it.
  • Oliver: You're quite right, Toad. All i do is shunt these freight cars onto the turntable. I longed for a nice run. It's what an engine really means.
  • Toad: Uh, quite so, Mr. Oliver. May i suggest that you speak to Sir Topham Hatt about your problems.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: But Oliver said nothing. He just grew unhappier and he was rough with the freight cars.
  • Cars: You're no good, Oliver, you're dangerous. We want Percy.
  • Oliver: Percy's far too busy to be bothered with the likes of you.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: And Oliver bumped the freight cars hard.
  • Workman: You silly engine!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Shouted a workman.
  • Workman: It'll take a long time to repair this turntable which'll cause confusion and delay!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: That night, Sir Topham Hatt arrived.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Oliver, you had caused confusion. I thought you can control freight cars. You should work the mail train for a while. Maybe the night air will clear your smokebox.
  • Oliver: Yes, sir. Sorry, sir.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said Oliver sadly.
  • Driver: Cheer up, old chap.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said his driver.
  • Driver: The mail train run is a fine run for an engine like you.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Oliver smiled, but he still felt he had left everyone down. His driver took him along the coastal run with the mail train. The fresh air couldn't help but brighten Oliver's spirits. They made good speed until it was time to collect some important mail from Harold the Helicopter.
  • Oliver: Come on, Harold.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: At last Harold landed.
  • Harold: Sorry i'm late, great western. Had any uh bit of a problems with one of my arms. Kept letting me down when i was uh meant to be up. You know how it is.
  • Driver: We know that we'll be late for our first run.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Replied Oliver's driver. Soon, they were on their way again. Ahead was a red signal light. Oliver didn't realized that the signalman had dozed off. Oliver whistled several times, but the signal stayed red.
  • Driver: There must be something wrong with that signal. We'll go slowly and stop by the signalbox.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said his driver. But they never reached it. The points before the signalbox were switched to an old track. They were going the wrong way. Oliver's fireman was concered.
  • Fireman: We need to find the watertower soon.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Instead they saw an old station. Disaster lay ahead.
  • (Crash!)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Meanwhile, Sir Topham Hatt was worried.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Oliver has not returned. We'll send out a search party.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Soon he was high in the sky with Harold.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: There they are.
  • Driver: It wasn't Oliver's fault.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Sighed the driver.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I'm aware of that. I'm just glad to see you were all safe.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Then he saw something. It was an empty old house beside the station. He went to inspect it. When he returned, he spoke to Oliver.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You have found another attraction for our island. We'll make this house as good as new and visitors can have tea and prophets there.
  • Oliver: Hmm.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Sighed Oliver.
  • Oliver: Getting lost can be interesting but being found can be much nicer. Especially what an engine feels really useful.
  • (Oliver's Find ends)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Oliver can know how to be discovered.
  • Raichu: Rai.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He's great western just like Duck.
  • Jolteon: Jolt Jolt.
  • (End of Part 1)

Part 2

  • (We see The Conductors with Surge's Pokemon)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Sabrina is the next member of The Vermilion Gang.
  • Raichu: Rai.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: She's a crush of Surge.
  • Jolteon: Jolt Jolt.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: She has a brother named Kenny.
  • Magneton: Magneton.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Toby met an old warrior. I'll tell you.
  • (Mr. Conductor 2 blows his whistle and Toby's Discovery starts)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: One morning, Sir Topham Hatt and his grandchildren came to see Toby.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Come on, Toby, we're all going to the seaside. We will ride in Henrietta.
  • Toby: Yes, sir.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said Toby happily. They came to a small seaside station. Soon, the children were playing in the sand, building a splendid castle. Sir Topham Hatt inspected it.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: My word's a very fine castle. Have you seen a real one like it?
  • Children: Yes.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Replied the children.
  • Children: It's here on the Island.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: And they showed him the map.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Hmm.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Pondered Sir Topham Hatt. They met Toby at the harbour.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Come along, we are going exploring.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Soon they were in the wildest part of the Island. They stopped by a lonely signalbox.
  • Signalman: Where are you going?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Asked the Signalman.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: We're trying to find an old castle.
  • Signalman: I know the place sir.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said the signalman.
  • Signalman: There's a small junction not too far down the line. Just switch the points.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: When the fireman switched the points, their adventure really began. Toby pushed past branches and bushes until they came to another little junction. There they saw two signs saying: To The Castle and To The Mine.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: We'll go to the castle first.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Toby stopped by an old water tower.
  • Children: There's the castle.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Yes.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Replied Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: And now we shall visit the mine.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Once upon a time, the mine had been worked by the little engines and their lines were still in place. But now everything is very rusty and overgrown. Sir Topham Hatt was most impressed, but Toby was rather scared. He was glas when it was time to go home.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I think the castle and the mine will make a fine place for visitors. But it will take some hard work first.
  • Toby: Y-yes, sir.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said Toby nervously. Sir Topham Hatt's plans were soon put into action. But Toby was still worried.
  • Toby: I'm sure this place was haunted.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: He thought.
  • Toby's Driver: It's our turn to stay here on guard tonight, Toby.
  • Toby: Oh y-y-yes. Why not?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Stuttered Toby.
  • Thomas: Beware of the ghost, Toby.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Thomas said.
  • Toby: What ghost?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Asked Toby?
  • Thomas: The old warrior ghost. Every night he lights his fire then goes hunting. Toot toot, goodbye.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Night came. Toby looked anxiously around. Everything seemed rather spooky. Quite suddenly, he heard a strange wheezing sound.
  • Toby: It's the ghost!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: He wailed.
  • Toby's Driver: What ghost?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: His driver asked.
  • Toby: It's the old warrior. He's come to hunt me down.
  • Toby's Driver: Don't be so daft. We'll go and investigate.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: They returned quite soon.
  • Toby's Fireman: The old warrior wants to meet you.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Laughed his fireman.
  • Toby: Can't it wait till morning?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Replied Toby.
  • Toby's Driver: Ghosts don't work dayshifts.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said his driver. Toby bravely made his way.
  • Toby: Well blast my bell.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: He exclaimed. There in front of him was a little old engine.
  • Signalman: This is your ghost, Toby.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said the signalman.
  • Signalman: His name's really Bertrum. But we call him the old warrior because he's so brave.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Bertrum and Toby are now friends. They take the visitors to the castle and the mine. If there are any ghosts here, they certainly help to make the place very happy.
  • (Toby's Discovery ends)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Well, Toby did meet an old warrior.
  • Raichu: Rai.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Lorelei is the next member of The Vermilion Gang.
  • Jolteon: Jolt Jolt.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: She has heels like Erika.
  • Magneton: Magneton.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Rusty had an encounter with Boulder. I'll tell you.
  • (Mr. Conductor 2 blows his whistle and Rusty and The Boulder starts)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: On the Island of Sodor, high up in the mountains was a mysterious boulder. It had stood alone for a long time. But one day, workmen arrived to build a quarry on the land below. Rusty the Little Diesel met Thomas and Percy.
  • Percy: Where's all this rock coming from?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Percy asked.
  • Rusty: The new quarry.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Replied Rusty.
  • Rusty: This mountain rock is good for many things, although it's dangerous up there.
  • Thomas: Why?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Asked Thomas.
  • Rusty: Because of a big boulder. I think it's watching me.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said Rusty nervously.
  • Percy: How can it be? Boulders don't have eyes.
  • Rusty: Well, Percy, there's something strange about this one.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Just then, Edward arrived. He was delivering a new piece of machinery from the quarry.
  • Rusty: What's that?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Asked Rusty.
  • Edward: It's called Thumper. Apparently it helps collect the rock faster.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Replied Edward. Soon, Thumper was working hard. The men were pleased, but no one bothered to check the boulder. When it rained, the workmen went away. Rusty gazed up and shivered. Above stood Boulder. Suddenly, a large slab of rock landed on the rails. Rusty was shocked, driver was concerned.
  • Rusty's Driver: We best leave till the weather's better. The rain loosens some of this rock.
  • Rusty: I think it's Boulder wanting us to go away.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: The next day, the sun shone. Thumper was working harder than ever. Suddenly, Rusty noticed something.
  • Rusty: Boulder's moving!
  • Rusty's Driver: Don't be so daft, it can't.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said the driver. But it could.
  • Rusty: It's rolling along our line.
  • Rusty's Driver: We'll stop here until Boulder passes by.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said the driver. But Boulder was nowhere to be seen. Then...
  • Rusty's Driver: Oh, no. It's behind us.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Just ahead, they saw a small junction. One line went uphill. Boulder thundered past. Meanwhile, Skarloey was making his way up to the quarry. Then, he saw Boulder.
  • Skarloey: Help!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Boulder was catching up fast.
  • Skarloey: We must warn the yards!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Shouted Skarloey.
  • Rusty: Yes, but how?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Called Rusty. Boulder rounded a bend and there ahead was Rheneas.
  • Rheneas: It's running loose!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Yelled Rheneas. His driver drove him back as fast as he could.
  • Rheneas' Driver: Hurry!
  • (Rheneas races away from Boulder and crashes into a bunker)
  • Rheneas' Driver: Better a smashed than a squashed.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Sighed his driver. At the yards, Percy was collecting trucks. Then, he heard Boulder.
  • Percy: Oh, no. Heading straight for me.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Squeaked Percy.
  • (Boulder crashes into the sheds, creating a massive explosion)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: When Sir Topham Hatt inspected the damage, he decided to close the mine. Then, he looked at Boulder.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: We should have left this part of the island alone.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: They moved Boulder to a hill close by the yards. Rusty is sure that on a clear night, it is gazing up at the mountain and that its size are being carried by the wind to where it once used to stand proud and silent. I wonder if Rusty is right, don't you?
  • (Rusty and The Boulder ends)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: You know, Rusty had to be scared.
  • Raichu: Rai.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He's only a diesel.
  • Jolteon: Jolt Jolt.
  • (End of Part 2)

Part 3

  • (We see The Conductors with Surge's Pokemon)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Blaine is the final member of The Vermilion Gang.
  • Raichu: Rai.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: He's a quiz master.
  • Jolteon: Jolt Jolt.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He had Oralie and Hayley.
  • Magneton: Magneton.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Duncan had a fright. I'll tell you.
  • (Mr. Conductor 2 blows his whistle and Duncan Gets Spooked starts)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: The little engines were busy clearing their railroad of leaves and broken branches. Peter Sam and Rusty often work together. One day, Rusty helped Peter Sam to a water tower. Peter Sam felt much better after his long drink, but the freight cars were bored.
  • Freight Cars: Let's break away.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Their loads were heavy and the coupling old. One snapped.
  • Freight Cars: Faster, faster!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Shouted the freight cars. A sign read: Slow Steep Bends and Ravine Ahead. But the silly freight cars never saw it. Then, it was too late.
  • (The freight cars fall down into the ravine)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Peter Sam arrived at the scene of the disaster. His driver sighed.
  • Peter Sam's Driver: This was our fault. We didn't secure them properly. We'll have to get help to pull them out. Sir Topham Hatt will be very annoyed.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: And he was.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You will work in the yard until i can trust you again.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Duncan was delighted with Peter Sam's dilemma.
  • Duncan: Fancy not securing your freight cars on a hill. They'll come back to spook you and your special funnel. Whoooo!
  • Rusty: And who's to say you're not afraid of ghosts!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Snapped Rusty.
  • Duncan: Ghosts!? Things that go bump in the night, Rubbish!
  • Rusty: Well i'll tell you a story that will make your funnel quiver.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Rusty said.
  • Rusty: A long time ago, a little engine was returning home. It was a misty moonlight night. Suddenly, the engine lost control and plunged over the side into the swamps below. He was never found again. But many of workmen will tell you that when the moon is full, They had seen the little engine trying to get home. But he never reached the other side. So what did you think of that, Duncan?
  • Duncan: Rubbish!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Replied Duncan.
  • Rusty: Never mind him, Peter Sam. He'd be frightened if he really saw a ghost.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: This gave Peter Sam's driver an idea.
  • Peter Sam's Driver: Let's play a trick on Duncan.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: The next day he spoke to Duncan's driver and fireman who agreed.
  • Duncan's Driver: We'll do it, tonight.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Duncan had to take coal cars to the slate mine and then bring cars back. Duncan's driver decided as part of a plan to cross the old iron bridge.
  • Duncan: Haunted bridge, rubbish!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Snorted Duncan.
  • Duncan: It's as tame as a pet rabbit's.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: But all the same, he kept thinking about Rusty's story. When dusk fell, he was keen to leave.
  • Duncan: If we don't go now, Skarloey will take my favorite place in the shed.
  • Duncan's Driver: We have to collect our cars first.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: His driver replied. He could see the plan was working because Duncan was nervous. When night fell, they set off. The mist were rising around the old iron bridge. Duncan whistled and the sound echoed everywhere. Then, ahead, he saw flickering lights. His driver knew they were only insects that shine brightly at night, but to Duncan they look like an engine. Next, his driver secretly threw a rock from the cab into the ravine below.
  • Duncan: It's the ghost! Take me back! Take me back, please!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: When Duncan reached the safety of his shed, he closed his eyes tightly.
  • Duncan's Driver: Spooked are you, Duncan?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Laughed his driver.
  • Duncan: No! I'm asleep!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: And Duncan refused to open his eyes. He did though when he thought his driver wasn't looking just to make sure that he was still there.
  • (Duncan Gets Spooked ends)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: You see, Duncan is scared of ghosts.
  • Raichu: Rai.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: The Vermilion Gang are a group of trainers.
  • Jolteon: Jolt Jolt.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: They work with the other trainers.
  • Magneton: Magneton.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: All the engines are having a ride of their lives in this musical finale.
  • (Mr. Conductor 2 blows his whistle and Come For The Ride starts)
  • Children: (singing) All your friends on the railway would like you all to see, just how much fun rockin' on the railway can be.
