Emily grew up in the suburbs of the city, raised by her father (the pastor of the city's Baptist Church) and her mother (a retired bank employee). Even though her family is Christian-y they're totally open to other people's viewpoints and figure all religions are trying to answer the same question, and have no plans to shove the bible in people's faces or anything. Her family is pretty wealthy, and they reside in a nice house (WHICH LOOKS LIKE THIS DFSDGDF: [link] )
Emily is generally referred to as a girly girl. She's pretty much the only one at her school (as both a kid and a teen) to wear dresses, and also about the only one in high school who doesn't wear makeup.
Although she's a shy person when she first meets people, she gets steadily less shy the more she knows someone (lolobvious info is obvious). With people she really knows well (-cough- MOSTLY ELLIOT and... um... also i guess this dude named PAUL and this CHICK NAMED NICHOLE AKA THE SCREW-WITH-YOUR-MIND-CHICK WHATLOL WHY DO I MAKE UP THESE RANDOM- nevermind). So she'll be semi-outgoing and friendly and make jokes and crap with her good franz. She's been raised to be caring towards everyone... but this push to be friendly and open led to being bullied in middle school and high school and she ended up really shy and easily upset. D:
Tends to hold onto her anger/sadness for a lonnnng time without showing it and then eventually snapping at something seemingly meaningless.
She's somewhat religious... but not extremely. Luckily her father, the pastor at the local Baptist church, always told her to accept everyone else's beliefs. However, she also looooves science. So she tries to balance the two. :u

Emily grew up in the suburbs in a relatively wealthy household with her father, the pastor of the local Baptist Church, and her mother, an overprotective bank employee. As a child, Emily became determined to make friends with everyone she met. Eventually this backfires because friendliness becomes uncool or something ridiculous. However, thanks to this trait, she makes friends with a slightly antisocial Elliot in 1st grade. : D
It's rare when both Emily's parents are home, and she tends to get a bit lonely in the big house she lives in. So she goes to Elliot's apartment a lot and they watch tons of VHS movies and argue about whether -insert scifi event here- could actually happen or not.
But, as mentioned on Elliot's ref, the two get majorly teased in middle school and aw shit son- hormones kick in. BUM BUM BUMMM. Upon which Emily gets a huge crush on Elliot, despises herself for it, and begins distancing herself from everyone. Thus, the first two years of high school are pretty miserable for her (between watching her best friend flounce off with girls he doesn't really know and being made fun of thanks to the things she wears).
Eventually this internal tension builds up to the point where she absolutely EXPLODES at Elliot early in junior year of high school. <8I; But right after she yells at him she bursts into tears and Elliot feels horrrrrrible... but also realizes he's been a moron for the past few years.
Then they become friends again! Dohoho. And then they just become steadily more coupley the next few years (they never actually directly ask each other out or anything. 8T; They just keep doing what they've always done... just there's an extra layer there)
Anywho
Emily goes to college intending to become a nurse, but she realizes she can't handle seeing people suffer. So she becomes a veterinarian instead. JOYOUS DAY! 8'D
