  • (We open this video with the Anchor Bay FBI Warning)
  • (We then see the 1999-2004 Anchor Bay Entertainment logo)
  • (The Thomas Season 6 intro soon follows and we begin Faulty Whistles)
  • Alec Baldwin: It was early morning on the Island of Sodor. Duncan was waiting for Peter Sam who was bringing some freight cars for him to take to strawberry grove. Duncan was also to take the headmaster and the new organ. While they waited, the headmaster played a lively tune. Peter Sam had steamed all through the night to bring Duncan his wagons. But as he approached the junction, a low hanging branch knocked his whistle off. This meant he couldn't work until he got a new one.
  • Peter Sam: I can't run on the tracks without my whistle.
  • Alec Baldwin: Chuffed Peter Sam.
  • Peter Sam: That would be dangerous.
  • Duncan: An engine's not an engine without a whistle.
  • Alec Baldwin: Boasted Duncan and just to prove it, he let off a big blast. But the rest of the engines just ignored him. Duncan chuffed away in a big huff. He was cross.
  • Duncan: They're jealous of my fine whistle.
  • Alec Baldwin: Duncan puffed as he steamed through the countryside. He whistled at some sheep. They were too busy eating grass to take notice.
  • Duncan: Bah!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Duncan.
  • Duncan: I need to whistle louder and longer next time.
  • Alec Baldwin: Soon, Duncan approached the level crossing where Elizabeth the Quarry Truck waited with a farmer's prized bull. This time, Duncan whistled as loud and as long as he could.
  • Bull: (roars)
  • Alec Baldwin: Said the bull.
  • Elizabeth: Stop that nonsense, Duncan.
  • Alec Baldwin: Elizabeth called. Duncan carried on cheerfully down the track. But he hadn't noticed his whistle had come loose. Then, Duncan saw Terence plowing a field.
  • Duncan: He'll get the loudest and longest whistle yet.
  • Alec Baldwin: He chortled to himself. And he blew so hard, his whistle shot off like a mighty rocket and landed out of sight. Everyone searched for Duncan's whistle but it was nowhere to be seen.
  • Duncan's Driver: We're stuck.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver.
  • Duncan's Driver: We can't move without a whistle. It would be too dangerous.
  • Headmaster: Leave it to me.
  • Alec Baldwin: The headmaster said. For the rest of the day, Duncan didn't make a sound. But the headmaster's organ did. As Duncan delivered his freight cars, the headmaster tooted the organ at every crossing and every stop. It alerted everyone just as a whistle would. Although Duncan didn't think so. Finally Duncan finished delivering the last of his freight cars.
  • (She'll Be Coming Round The Mountain playing on organ)
  • Alec Baldwin: Duncan steamed quietly back to the junction as the headmaster played the organ.
  • Rusty: Look.
  • Alec Baldwin: Rusty teased.
  • Rusty: It's Duncan the musical engine.
  • Rheneas: Let's whistle along.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Rheneas.
  • Skarloey: (whistles)
  • Alec Baldwin: Whistled Skarloey. But Peter Sam who had a shiny new whistle felt sorry for Duncan.
  • Peter Sam: You really did well to deliver your goods without a whistle.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Duncan: Did you think so?
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Duncan cheering up a bit.
  • Peter Sam: Absolutely.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Peter Sam.
  • Peter Sam: Even though an engine's not an engine without a whistle.
  • Headmaster: Or an organ.
  • Alec Baldwin: Chuckled the headmaster and he tooted the organ. And all the engines tooted back except Duncan. He just grinned.
  • (A nameplate sequence occurs and we begin The Fogman)
  • Alec Baldwin: It was winter on the Island of Sodor. The first fogs had begun to roll in from the sea. Thomas, Annie and Clarabel love the quiet of Misty Valley. But Thomas must be careful of rocks that sometimes roll onto the tracks. Cyril the Fogman has a very important job. He puts detonators on the tracks to warn the engines when there's fog ahead.
  • (Boom!)
  • Thomas: Oooh.
  • Alec Baldwin: Shivered Thomas as he ran over the detonator.
  • Thomas: That made my axles tingle.
  • Thomas' Driver: Cyril's done his job.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: We better slow down. There's fog ahead.
  • Thomas: Thank you, Cyril.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas. That night at the sheds, Sir Topham Hatt had something special to show the engines. It was very large and strange looking.
  • Percy: What is it?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked Percy.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: It's a new invention, a railway foghorn.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: It warns you when there's fog ahead. Like this.
  • (The foghorn begins to wail and bricks from the roof fall down into the floor then it turns off)
  • Percy: That's loud!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
  • James: Too loud.
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed James.
  • Gordon: Sounds like a tugboat to me.
  • Alec Baldwin: Grumbled Gordon. Thomas looked worried.
  • Thomas: What will Cyril do now?
  • Alec Baldwin: He asked.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: It will begin in a much needed rest.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Besides, this new foghorn will be more reliable.
  • Thomas: Poor Cyril.
  • Alec Baldwin: Whispered Thomas.
  • Thomas: He's been scrapped.
  • Alec Baldwin: The next day, Percy was cheerfully chuffing through Misty Valley when suddenly...
  • (The foghorn wails again)
  • Percy: Oh, Jeepers!
  • Alec Baldwin: Exclaimed Percy.
  • Percy: That foghorn is so loud it rattles my dome. It doesn't even make my axles tingle.
  • Percy's Driver: Still, we better slow down.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver.
  • Percy's Driver: There's fog ahead.
  • Alec Baldwin: The foghorn had been so loud that it made the hillside shake. No sooner was Percy out of sight, when one rock fell, then another and another. Before long, the track was blocked and the foghorn was crushed. Not far away. Thomas was puffing happily right on time.
  • (Thomas' whistle toots)
  • Thomas: I can't see a thing!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas. And then before he could think of anything else...
  • (Crash!)
  • Thomas: Bust my buffers!
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried Thomas.
  • Thomas: What happened to the foghorn.
  • Thomas' Driver: I don't know.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: But at least nobody's been hurt.
  • Thomas' Fireman: Toby will be coming down the line any minute.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his fireman.
  • Thomas: If there's no foghorn here...
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: He'll run into us.
  • Voice: Leave it to me.
  • Alec Baldwin: Called a voice from the fog.
  • Thomas: It's Cyril!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: I hope he's in time.
  • Alec Baldwin: Toby and his coach Henrietta were chuffing along. Toby was looking forward for a well earned drink at the station when...
  • (Boom!)
  • Toby: Fog detonators!
  • Alec Baldwin: Puffed Toby.
  • Toby's Driver: There must be fog ahead.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver.
  • Toby's Driver: We better slow down.
  • Alec Baldwin: And just around the next bend, with his axles still tingling, Toby was very glad they did. Otherwise, they would've crashed into Thomas' wreck. Soon the tracks were cleared and Thomas was back on the rails.
  • Thomas: If it hadn't been for Cyril...
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: Toby might have had a worst accident than me.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Instead of replacing Cyril with a foghorn...
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: We'll replace the foghorn with Cryril. You're cleary more reliable.
  • Cyril: Thank you, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Cyril.
  • Toby: And thank you.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Toby.
  • Thomas: New inventions are all very well.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas.
  • Percy: Well they don't make my axles tingle.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
  • (Another nameplate sequence occurs and we begin Thomas, Percy and The Squeak)
  • Alec Baldwin: The engines on the Island of Sodor love the summer. Sir Topham Hatt arranges lots of concerts. Music can often be heard drifting through the air. The engines do enjoy it. One morning, the engines were very excited. Alicia Botti, the famous singer, was coming to the Island of Sodor.
  • Gordon: She's a coloratura.
  • Alec Baldwin:: Said Gordon importantly.
  • Thomas: What's a coloratura?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked Thomas.
  • Gordon: It means she can sing high notes very, very loud.
  • James: Sir Topham Hatt will choose me to collect her.
  • Alec Baldwin: Boasted James.
  • James: I'm the brightest and the shiniest.
  • Gordon: Nonsense, i'm the most important.
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed Gordon. Thomas wanted to feel important too.
  • Thomas: He might choose me.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said hopefully.
  • Gordon: Well one thing's for sure...
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Gordon.
  • Gordon: He wont choose Dirty Percy.
  • Percy: Don't call me Dirty Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: He chuffed crossly and he wheeshed away. But the next day, Sir Topham Hatt didn't choose Gordon and he didn't choose James, he chose Thomas.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Make sure Annie and Clarabel are squeaky clean.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Thomas: Yes, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas proudly. He felt very important indeed.
  • Thomas: Move aside, Dirty Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Chuffed Thomas.
  • Thomas: I'm the important engine today.
  • Percy: But i need a washdown.
  • Alec Baldwin: Wailed Percy.
  • Percy: My passengers will laugh at me.
  • Thomas: But i had to be squeaky clean.
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed Thomas.
  • Thomas: So you'll just have to wait.
  • Percy: I can't wait!
  • Alec Baldwin: Grumped Percy.
  • Percy: I'm a guaranteed connection.
  • Alec Baldwin: And he chuffed away. Soon, Thomas was shiny and squeaky clean. He felt more important than ever. But as the workers coupled Annie and Clarabel, they heard a strange sound.
  • Mouse: (squeaks)
  • Thomas: What's that?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked Thomas anxiously. His driver quickly oiled Annie and Clarabel's under carriage.
  • Thomas' Driver: That should take care of the bothersome squeak.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said. On the way to the docks, Thomas heard the squeak again. He was worried. He didn't sound like his squeaky clean squeak. Thomas squeaked noisily into the keyside where Alicia Botti was waiting. Sir Topham Hatt held Clarabel's door open when...
  • Alicia Botti: A mouse!
  • Alec Baldwin: Alicia Botti screamed.
  • Mouse: (squeaking)
  • Alicia Botti: (screaming)
  • Alec Baldwin: And she screamed and she screamed and she screamed. She screamed so loud and so long that windows broke all over town.
  • Gordon: Definitely a coloratura.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said Gordon. Alicia Botti was cross.
  • Alicia Botti: I can't possibly travel in coaches riddled with mice.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt was very embarrassed and Thomas didn't feel important at all. Just then, Percy returned from his guaranteed connection.
  • Alicia Botti: Look at the little green engine.
  • Alec Baldwin: Alicia Botti exclaimed.
  • Alicia Botti: So sweet and dirty like a proper steam engine.
  • Gordon: But he's filthy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Gordon huffed snootily.
  • Percy: But i cleaned up nice.
  • Alec Baldwin: Smiled Percy. He was glad somebody noticed. Alicia Botti boarded the train and Percy steamed away. He felt very proud. Later, Thomas saw Percy at the washdown.
  • Thomas: I'm sorry i called you Dirty Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: You go first.
  • Percy: Thanks, Thomas. It feels good to be friends.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
  • Percy: But where is your mouse?
  • Thomas: You'll see.
  • Alec Baldwin: Grinned Thomas. That night was Alicia Botti's concert. Her voice carried across half the island. Sir Topham Hatt had made the little mouse her very own home in the corner of Tidmouth Sheds. And Thomas named her, Alicia.
  • Alicia: (squeaks)
  • (Another nameplate sequence occurs and we begin Middle Engine)
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt's engines love their work. Gordon likes pulling the express, Thomas likes his branch line and Percy likes taking the mail. But none of them likes being a middle engine. It's no fun being stuck in a middle. One morning, Percy was cheerfully collecting coal cars in the smelter's yards, where 'Arry and Bert worked. They like to play tricks on steam engines. Percy didn't want to fall for their tricks again. But before he knew it, he was stuck in the middle.
  • Percy: Oh, Bother!
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed Percy crossly.
  • 'Arry: Little green piggy in the middle!
  • Alec Baldwin: 'Arry teased. Percy's driver was cross. With coal cars in front and coal cars behind, Percy had to go slower. James was in the yards when Percy was steamed slowly by.
  • James: Ha, ha! It's Pokey Percy!
  • Alec Baldwin: James laughed.
  • Percy: You wouldn't be laughing if you were stuck in the middle.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy fumed. And he fumed all the way to the coaling plant. One by one, he shunted the coal cars onto the tipper's loading ramp and the coal was unloaded. Percy was not allowed to cross the loading ramp until the tipper had been turned off. It was against the rules. But as soon as his driver and fireman left, there was trouble. Henry arrived to pick up coal. He bumped into the coal cars and the coal cars bumped into Percy. Percy was pushed onto the loading ramp.
  • Percy: Help!
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried Percy. Percy was hoist it up, tipped over and brought back down again. After Percy was load back down to the ground, the manager was very cross.
  • Manager: You have caused confusion and delay!
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Manager: I'll have to report this to Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Alec Baldwin: That night, Sir Topham Hatt spoke severely to Percy.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I'm very disappointed you, Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You know it's against the rules to go on to the tipper's loading ramp.
  • Percy: Sorry, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy said sadly.
  • Percy: But it wasn't my fault. It's because those diesels made me a middle engine.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Never the less, you will shunt freight cars in the yard until I can get to the bottom of this.
  • James: Pah!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said James, thinking that he can hear.
  • James: I can handle those diesels with bent buffers and a busted boiler!
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Then you will do Percy's run in the smelter.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • James: Yes sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said James. The next day, James arrived at the smelter. He was determined to be tricked by 'Arry and Bert.
  • 'Arry: Hello, James.
  • Alec Baldwin: Oosed 'Arry.
  • 'Arry: Come to learn a thing or two from those who know?
  • James: Just get my freight cars ready and stay out of my way.
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed James importantly.
  • Bert: Yes, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Bert chimed gricely. James cheerfully backed up to his freight cars. He was certain he had fooled 'Arry and Bert but he was wrong.
  • 'Arry: Little red piggy in the middle!
  • Alec Baldwin: Chortled 'Arry
  • Bert: Just like Percy!
  • Alec Baldwin: Jeered Bert.
  • James: I am not like Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Puffed James.
  • James: I am not a middle engine and I am not moving.
  • Alec Baldwin: And he didn't. When Sir Topham Hatt heard the news he sent Percy to fetch James. This made Percy happy. He buffered up to James and took him along with all the freight cars to the docks.
  • Manager: Right on time.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said the manager.
  • Manager: But what does that big red engine doing in the middle?
  • Percy: Learning.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy replied.
  • Manager: Learning what?
  • Percy: Learning to be a middle engine.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy laughed. James covered himself in steam hoping no one would recognize him, but it was good. It was only big red engine on the island and everyone knows his name is James!
  • (Another nameplate sequence occurs and we begin A Bad Day For Harold)
  • Alec Baldwin: Harold the Helicopter loves flying up in a bright blue sky, over the Island of Sodor, he looks out for anyone in distress. Sometimes he delivers the mail. This made Percy very cross.
  • Harold: The mail run is done. Is there anymore? I can deliver it for you in a jiff. That's what friends are for.
  • Percy: Delivering the mail is an engine's job.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy grumpily. Percy has many jobs but carrying the mail is his favorite. It makes him feel really useful. The next morning, Percy was happily pulling the mail train.
  • Percy: Must be on time, must be on time.
  • Alec Baldwin: He chuffed. But up ahead, there was trouble with the signal box. It was broken. The signal engineers did not know how long it would take to fix. Percy had to stop. It's not safe for engines to run without signals but Percy was very upset.
  • Percy: I'm going to be late.
  • Alec Baldwin: He cried.
  • Percy: And it's not even my fault.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt was in his office enjoying his toast and marmalade when he heard the news.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Percy is stuck at a broken signal. Then Harold must take the mail.
  • Alec Baldwin: Poor Percy was still waiting and still upset. The last time he was held up the mail was given to Harold.
  • Percy: It made me feel like a really useless engine.
  • Alec Baldwin: He sighed.
  • Driver: Well, the mail must arrive on time.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver. Just then they heard a familiar sound coming from above.
  • Harold: Hello.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Harold.
  • Harold: Sir Topham Hatt says you need my help. That's what friends are for.
  • Percy: Oh, no.
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried Percy. But Sir Topham Hatt had made up his mind. There was nothing Percy could do. Percy's driver helped load the mail bags into Harold's cargo net.
  • Harold's Pilot: Maybe we should take the mail bags a few at a time.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Harold's pilot.
  • Harold's Pilot: They're very heavy.
  • Harold: I have to make too many trips then i'd be as slow as Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: And so they loaded all the mail into Harold's net at once and the engineer continued to work on the signal. Just as they finished loading a signal engineer cried out.
  • Signal Engineer: It's fixed.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Percy: Wait, Harold!
  • Alec Baldwin: Shouted Percy.
  • Percy: I'm ready to go!
  • Alec Baldwin: But it was too late. Harold had already taken off. Percy watched the mail disappear. He was upset. But then they all heard a strange sound.
  • Harold's Pilot: Watch out for those trees, Harold!
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried his pilot.
  • Harold: My net is too heavy!
  • Alec Baldwin: Wailed Harold.
  • Percy: Harold is in trouble!
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy cried.
  • Percy: We must try to help him.
  • (Crash!)
  • Percy: Are you all right?
  • Alec Baldwin: Called Percy.
  • Harold: Just get someone to put me out of this haystack!
  • Alec Baldwin: Sputtered Harold and Percy did as fast as he could. The next day, Harold's engine was fixed and he was flying again. Percy was very pleased to see him.
  • Percy: Want to take the mail, Harold?
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy teased.
  • Percy: I'll stand by with the rescue team.
  • Alec Baldwin: All the engines tooted and Harold hovered so low that only Percy could hear.
  • Harold: Thanks for getting to pull me out that haystack, my friend.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Percy: That's all right.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
  • Percy: That's what friends are for.
  • (Another nameplate sequence occurs and we begin Gordon Takes A Tumble)
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt's engines are proud of how useful they are. It makes them feel important. But none of them feels more important than Gordon.
  • Gordon: Watch out!
  • Alec Baldwin: Gordon wheeshed.
  • Gordon: You'll get my paint all sooty.
  • Salty: Pulling freight cars is a sooty job.
  • Alec Baldwin: Teased Salty.
  • Salty: But then you wouldn't know.
  • Gordon: Of course not.
  • Alec Baldwin: Gordon huffed importantly.
  • Gordon: Express engines don't pull freight cars it wouldn't be dignified.
  • Percy: Dingyfried?
  • Alec Baldwin: Puzzled Percy.
  • Percy: What's that?
  • Gordon: Dignified.
  • Alec Baldwin: Gordon corrected.
  • Gordon: It means...
  • Salty: It means if someone's too big for his buffers.
  • Alec Baldwin: Teased Salty.
  • Gordon: Pah!
  • Alec Baldwin: Puffed Gordon and he puffed away. That evening, fog covered the Island of Sodor. Everything slowed down and soon the docks were packed with waiting freight cars. This caused confusion and delay. Sir Topham Hatt came to the sheds. He was in a great hurry.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Henry, Thomas and Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You must go to the docks inmediately.
  • Henry, Thomas and Percy: Yes sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: They whistled. Then Sir Topham Hatt turned to the big blue engine.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You too, Gordon.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I need an engine to take the freight cars where they won't be in a way.
  • Gordon: Freight cars!?
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed Gordon. He could not believe what he had heard. Gordon wasn't happy to be pulling freight cars. He waited impatiently while they were shunted into place.
  • Gordon: Hurry up, hurry up.
  • Alec Baldwin: Chuffed Gordon crossly.
  • Thomas: Why the rush, Gordon?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked Thomas.
  • Gordon: If i must pull freight cars then i'll show Salty how an express engine pulls freight cars.
  • Alec Baldwin: Gordon huffed.
  • Salty: Careful, captain.
  • Alec Baldwin: Salty tooted.
  • Salty: You don't wanna get too big for your buffers.
  • Alec Baldwin: But Gordon ignored Salty. The next morning, Gordon raced along with his heavy load.
  • Gordon: Now this is how you pull freight cars.
  • Alec Baldwin: He puffed. The signalman had accidentally left the points switched to the branch line. Gordon rattled through the junction.
  • Gordon: That's strange, i'm on the branch line.
  • Signalman: Oh no!
  • Alec Baldwin: The signalman cried.
  • Signalman: Express trains aren't supposed to go that way.
  • Alec Baldwin: But it was too late. Gordon had already raced into the distance. The old branch line was weak and rusty. There were signs warning all the trains to go slow. But Gordon ignored the sign.
  • Gordon: I'm an express engine i don't go slow.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said and he went even faster. The branch line couldn't take his weight and the rails buckled.
  • Gordon: Oh help!
  • Alec Baldwin: Gordon cried as he slid off the tracks and into a field.
  • (Gordon runs over a pile of hay, towards some tires making him lose his tender and into a barn)
  • Alec Baldwin: No one was hurt, but poor Gordon felt very undignified.
  • Gordon: What will Sir Topham Hatt say.
  • Alec Baldwin: He groaned. He found out soon enough.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Well, Gordon.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You wanted to show Salty a thing or two and you certainly done that. You showed him how silly it is to ignore go slow signs.
  • Gordon: Sorry, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Gordon and he let out a sad wheesh of steam. Gordon was soon repaired and back at the docks for work. He was very unhappy with himself.
  • Thomas: Everyone makes mistakes.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: Even you.
  • James: Salty's sorry he teased you.
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed James.
  • Gordon: And i'm sorry i'm too big for my buffers.
  • Alec Baldwin: Chuffed Gordon. And all the engines gave a jolly toot even Gordon.
  • (Another nameplate sequence occurs and we begin Dunkin' Duncan)
  • Alec Baldwin: Rusty, Rheneas and Skarloey chugged cheerfully through the Sodor countryside. The engines were going to help Duncan with an important job at the incline railway. The engines enjoyed working at the incline railway. They like the way the loaded slate cars rolled down the incline pulling the empty slate cars up. But they are always careful. Duncan doesn't like working at the incline railway. He is always impatient to get back at the junction. This makes him careless and gets him in a lot of trouble. Rusty hoped Duncan would stay out of trouble today, but he was already in too much of a hurry.
  • Duncan: I'm a plain speaking engine.
  • Alec Baldwin: Gruffed Duncan.
  • Duncan: So collect your slate cars and be quick about it.
  • Alec Baldwin: And off he steamed.
  • Rheneas: Bossy boots.
  • Alec Baldwin: Chuffed Rheneas.
  • Skarloey: Pushy puffer.
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed Skarloey. They didn't like Duncan telling them what to do.
  • Rusty: He just wants to get back to the bustle of the junction.
  • Alec Baldwin: Rusty said. Duncan wanted everyone to work faster.
  • Duncan: You're supposed to be helping me.
  • Alec Baldwin: He grumbled.
  • Duncan: But you're as slow as snails.
  • Rusty: We're proper engines.
  • Alec Baldwin: Rusty huffed crossly.
  • Rusty: We followed the rules.
  • Rheneas: We can't send up more than four slate cars at a time.
  • Alec Baldwin: Chuffed Rheneas.
  • Duncan: Then work faster.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Duncan impatiently. Later that day, Duncan was working at the incline.
  • Duncan: I'll show you how fast a really useful engine can work.
  • Alec Baldwin: Duncan called as he hastily biffed one slate car into another and then another. Soon, Duncan had his four slate cars.
  • Duncan: Nothing to it!
  • Alec Baldwin: He boasted to Rusty.
  • Rusty: Those slate cars will pay you back.
  • Alec Baldwin: Warned Rusty.
  • Rusty: Slate cars don't like to be biffed.
  • Duncan: I can handle slate cars.
  • Alec Baldwin: He cried. The three little engines could see Duncan was not going to listen. They carefully chuffed away from the incline with their slate cars full of slate. Duncan was so impatient he became even more careless.
  • Duncan: I'll show that smelly diesel and those lazy steamers.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said to his driver.
  • Duncan's Driver: Careful.
  • Alec Baldwin: Cautioned his driver.
  • Duncan's Driver: You're asking for trouble.
  • Alec Baldwin: And he got it. Duncan didn't notice his chain was tangled in the coupling of the slate car in front of him. Suddenly, he was being pulled up the track by the empty slate cars.
  • Duncan: Bouncing bogies!
  • Alec Baldwin: He cried.
  • Duncan: It's got me!
  • Alec Baldwin: Duncan's driver jumped clear. Rusty returned to see Duncan being pulled up the incline.
  • Rusty: I tried to warn him.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Rusty.
  • Rusty's Driver: He never listens.
  • Alec Baldwin: The little diesel's driver said. The chain pulling Duncan's slate cars couldn't hold the weight. It suddenly snapped. Duncan plummeted down the incline.
  • Duncan: Help!
  • Alec Baldwin: He yelled.
  • (Splash!)
  • Duncan: Glub, glub, glub.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Duncan: Bluggle my bloiler.
  • Alec Baldwin: Duncan felt foolish and very wet. When Sir Topham Hatt arrived, he spoke severly to Duncan.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You have not been a responsible engine.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Your impatience has caused confusion and delay and you owe these engines in apology.
  • Duncan: Sorry.

  • (Another nameplate sequence occurs and we begin Little Engines)
  • Children: (singing) Main Line Engines always boast how big they are, Superior by far. But Little Engines toil away from dawn to dusk, Without a fuss or care. Just because we're small doesn't mean we don't stand tall, And we pull our weight like all the others do. You'll be surprised, in spite of their size, Just what little engines can do! Little Engines, Little Engines, Little Engines can do the biggest things. Little Engines, Little Engines, Little Engines can do most anything. They'll carry on until the work is over, They'll carry on 'til the end, They're the smallest in the station, don't underestimate them, they're not such little engines after all. Bigger Engines say little engines play all day, And they're not much use to anyone at all. But we're strong enough to deal with those trucks, That's what little engines are for! Thomas, Percy, Bill and Ben, You can rely on them, These little engines are the best! Stepney, Duck, and Oliver, They'll give the trucks what for, You'll be so impressed. They're our favourite little engines, They're mighty little engines! They're not such little engines after all! They're not such little engines after all!
