Chesapeake & Ohio #614 is the sole remaining member of the class of J-3a 4-8-4 Northerns built by the C&O in 1948. It was retired in 1952 and was later bought by Ross Rowland in exchange for Reading 2101, which was badly damaged in a roundhouse fire in 1979. It pulled various excursion trains like the Chessie Safety Express and the Erie Limited. It currently remains on static display in Clifton Forge, Virgina in it's Greenbrier Presidential Express scheme,a planned excursion by Rowland, but was canceled due to financial troubles.
