Blizzard box 360

Blizzard: Frozen Paradise is a third-person shooter by developed by DeadSheep Interactive. It is published by Virtual Visuals and came out in February 2007 for the Xbox 360. A PS3 version is set for February 2008.

Gameplay[]

The game is a third-person shooter that plays very smoothly. The graphics are crisp, the environments are both beautiful and destructible. There are tons of weapons and grenades to pick up and tons of enemies as well.

Plot[]

The game takes place on a planet that is normally tropical weather. One day a mysterious blizzard hits the planet and freezes the whole planet. It is part of an unexplainable phenomenon. The government and a small agency are battling for the information. You can choose either side and it changes the story depending on which one you choose. You must explore the frozen paradise and find out what it causing this blizzard.

Multiplayer[]

The game's multiplayer can be played online or offline. If played offline there are deathmatches and capture the flag. If online there are both of those and 32-player battles free-for-all or government vs agency.

Launch[]

Blizzard: Frozen Paradise was released for Xbox 360 in February 2007. It did great with critics and sales. It scored a 9.3 out of 10 on IGN and a 9.5 in Game Informer Magazine. The game has sold over 2 million copies on Xbox 360.

PS3 version[]

Blizzard box PS3

A PS3 version was announced and will arrive on February 5, 2008. The game will feature extra missions and weapons. The PS3 port is being handled by developer Ammo Warehouse.

RTS Spin-Off[]

A Real-Time Strategy Spin-off of Blizzard was announced on February 4, 2008. It is called Blizzard: Colonies and will be available for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3

Sequel[]

A sequel to the game was mentioned, not surprisingly because of it's great reviews and sales. It is expected to release sometime in 2010
