Bulstrode is a barge who sulked around in harbors. Because of his constant barking of orders at the trucks, they were eager to have him loaded so he could leave. Unfortunately for Bulstrode, some faulty buffers caused Percy to push some stone trucks off of the pier and onto Bulstrode, causing him to start sinking. The trucks thought it served him right for "barging in and moaning". He is voiced by Kerry Shale in UK and US.

Due to his damage, Bulstrode was punished for being rude by being set on a beach so that children could play in him, and at long last he'd be useful. ("Special Attraction")

Bulstrode should be able to reappear in the movie Tale of the Brave.

Personality[]

Bulstrode is a disagreeable barge who is crankier than Cranky the Crane but came before Cranky.Bulstrode's major role was in Special Attraction, a Season 4 episode. Special Attraction is about Toby being the Special Attraction at a garden party but gets cancelled.Toby gets sad and tries to figure out why the garden party was cancelled. Then Percy has something to figure out. Percy's driver thinks it's about Bulstrode-and it is obviously! Bulstrode is grumbling to the trucks about not being in the right spots. The trucks reply by telling Bulstrode that he's in the wrong place and not them. But Percy shuts him up by "accidentally" pushing the trucks into him which makes him sink.

Theme[]

  • Bulstrode's theme is Percy's Danger theme from Seasons 3-4.

Trivia[]

  • After Special Attraction, Bulstrode's face and eye mechanism was removed and he was used as a prop.
  • Bulstrode's model is on display at Drayton Manor.
