Featured Article Huntik: Secrets & Seekers is an Italian animated series created and directed by Iginio Straffi, as a co-production between Big Bocca Productions and Rainbow S.p.A.. It airs on The CW4Kids at 10:30am Eastern Standard Time on Saturdays. In Europe the series airs on Jetix (UK) weekdays at 8pm with an encore at 9:30pm. On weekends they also add an episode a 1:30pm. The series premiered January 3, 2009 with one episode in the US and the first four episodes in Europe, making Jetix (UK) the home for premieres beyond the first episode. 26 half-hour animated episodes of Huntik: Secrets & Seekers are confirmed. The target audience for the show is 6-12 year old boys. A tie-in Huntik Trading card game is planned for spring 2009. As of January 28th 2009, the first seaon of Huntik ended however due to its increasing popularity in both Europe and the USA, a second season is expected.
