History[]
Early history[]
Niki was born in Gaul, possibly on the coast, as the Gauls worshiped the elements, and the tattoo on Niki's left arm is a tribal symbol for water. (However, whereas Niki from original timeline was not tattooed is possible that these tattoos go back to his life as a vampire.)
As difficult as it is to learn concrete facts about Niki's human life, information on how he became a vampire is even more scarce. Suffice to say he was eventually "made" vampire at some point during the later years of his middle-age life, although both the circumstances surrounding this event, and the identity of his Maker are a completely unknown.
The "Spell of the Soul"[]
At a time unknown Niki participate in the experiment of a powerful sorcerer, who promised him the ability to walk in the sun, in exchange for immortality acquaintances Niki could give. Niki has agreed to transform the sorcerer, who will become Guglielmo Gemme, into a vampire and prepare for the ritual that would make him a daywalker. However the sorcerer the minds and reveal that in addition to eternal life he also wanted the insider knowledge on how to separate the soul of a vampire and the soul of a human being in order to free themselves of their vampirism when she would find another way for immortality.
Niki gets a new face.
During the ritual Niki was surrounded by a magnificent yellow light , and I begin to feel that the body was changing somehow, suddenly feel that his heart was beating dinuovo much to the surprise of Niki and enthusiasm of William but this condition little hard. The light became blue and pale while Niki beginning to feel an immense pain coming from his body, and after brief moments his face was changing .
Before William could do something to stop the ritual discover the side effect of the ritual , the man who was once Niki is now divided into two equal beings with exception that for their species , one was human but the other was still a vampire.

Second human life and Death[]

Not much is known of the human Niki, however it is known that due to the wealth lascitegli by William became a wealthy man and happy. He had a military uniform indicating that he was a colonel in a war not well specified. At some point after his military career Niki marries a woman named Celine and had at least two children with her.
According to Stephen, he and Niki were seen at least once a year, pretending to be twin brothers when they were in public, to remember that they could rely on each other.
Guglielmo has revealed that when he became old Niki her daughter became ill a sickly, incurable at the time, and asked for his help to save her. After learning that Guglielmo could heal her daughter by transferring his illness to him, Niki, who by now had almost lived up to 90 years, accept it immediately and after saying goodbye to his family Guglielmo performs the spell causing the death of Niki.
During the Initiation[]

As part of his initiation as chancellor of the Authority, Stephen had to drink a drop of the blood of Lilith, the first vampire to exist, and as a result start to experience vivid hallucinations of Niki.
Post-Death[]
Niki appears for Morbelli.
Sometime after Alberto's death and rising as Albeth , Stefano was injected with the Limbo drug, a serum that gave him the chance to "cross over" and see the death people. An apparition of Niki informed Stefano that he will become a symbol of peace and justice on Earth, and that Albeth knew his secret. He "pushed" Stefano back to life, vowing to always be with Stefano.
If this means that Niki still exists as a spiritual entity, or that the drug simply did not see what a person wanted to see, is unknown.
Powers and abilities[]
Niki possessed the common powers and weaknesses of a Vampire. Niki was not a fighter, and never engaged in combat. Even after Guglielmo slapped his across the room he didn't.
After becoming human Niki lost his vampiric abilities, but, he had the ability to control Guglielmo because he was been transformed by Stefano and presumably could control any other Stefano's progeny.
