Greater San Andreas Hightown Oldtown. Industrial Town
San Andreas Map San Andreas Suburbs Other Locations of Note History of San Andreas

The following areas are all part of the Ficticious San Andreas used for the Coterie of the Crimson Shadow LARP.

The San Andreas area has a number of towns in addition to the major cities of Hightown, Oldtown, and Industrial Town.

Ciudadela[]

Enclave

Located in the North Western part of the San Andreas islands, the Enclave is a forbidden zone to kindred.

  • Mayor: David Mastigos
  • Chief of Police: Josiah Iminir
  • Individual of Interest: Walter Esley

Ciudadela, or properly La Ciudadela de los Hijos Olvidados, has the honor of being the site of what appears to be the oldest human settlement in the San Andreas area. The name is a translation to the first European language in the area of the original natives' name for the place.

Existing in the northwestern area, the town has gained the nicknames "The Enclave," and "The Forbidden Zone," for it has been a gathering place for non-kindred supernatural creatures and has existed as such for as long as any can remember. As a haven for some manner of supernatural creatures other than Kindred, entrance by a Vampire is punishable by death. No one has ever been caught breaking this law.

Shortly after Jarl Ragnar's ascension, a pact was made with a powerful mage named Walter Esley. The pact was made on less than desirable conditions and after much threatening and talking, the Jarl gave the north western portion of his city to non-vampiric supernaturals. The terms of the pact state that vampiric supernaturals will stay out of the area and non-vampirics will not bother the rest of the city. In recent nights, these creatures have begun to ask for an extension of their territory. It is known that the blood hunted diablerist Johnny Relic lives in this area among the other supernaturals.

Known supernaturals in Ciudadela: Mages, Shapeshifters(werewolves, etc), Non-vampiric undead(Zombies), and restless spirits(though they seem to have no interaction or realization of the real world)

Little Salem[]

San Salem
  • Mayor:
  • Chief of Police:
  • Individual of Interest:

Capitalizing on the occult mystique of Mount Andreas, this suburb of San Andreas has sprung up. A combination of local mortal pagans and "occultists," the town's major industry is tourism. Primarilly, the town caters to new-age clientele but hikers, mountain bikers, and rock climbers are all well served. The area is sometimes, derisively, referred to as "San Salem."

Imboca[]

San Imboca
  • Mayor: Barnabas Marsh
  • Chief of Police: Robert Olmstead
  • Individual of Interest:

This small town would be a suburb of the San Andreas tri-cities, but somehow it has developed largely independently of the remainder of the tri-city area. First settled in 1843, and became a center of marine prosperity by 1900. Never populous, the birthrate in the town has historically remained exceptionally low. Due to its size, the residents had become highly insular and suspicious by the time of the Industrial revolution and the explosive expansion that period brought. The town continued to be successful in its economic nich but its teetering population would be severly, if not fatally, damaged by losses in WWII.

San Imboca 1

The further Pacific wars of the later 20th century continued to ravage the population of this village even as its birthrate remained low and immigration in or out of the area stagnated. All of this has raised the often whispered question of what will happen to the town of Imboca in the coming decades as the tri-cities expand and, eventually, try to annex the area. The citizens of Imboca are not well liked by the rest of San Andreas and are, at best, considered inbred degenerates. The well known stereotype of the Imboca citizen includes certain physical characteristics, such as narrow heads, flat noses, and bulging, starey eyes.

San Imboca 2

Imboca is a town of dense construction, yet one with a portentous dearth of visible life. Three tall steeples loom stark and unpainted against the seaward horizon. One of them crumbling down at the top, and in that and another there were only black gaping holes where clock-dials should have been. The vast huddle of sagging gambrel roofs and peaked gables convey with offensive clearness the idea of wormy decay, and as approached along the now descending road one can see that many roofs had wholly caved in. There are some large square Georgian houses with hipped roofs, cupolas, and railed "widow's walks". These are mostly well back from the water, and one or two seemed to be in moderately sound condition. The decay is worst close to the waterfront, though in its very midst an observer can spy the white belfry of a fairly well-preserved brick structure which looks like a small factory. Here and there the ruins of wharves jut out from the shore to end in indeterminate rottenness, those farthest north seeming the most decayed.

Las Sombras[]

Las Sombras
  • Mayor: Montano Sombra
  • Chief of Police: Gratiano Schatten
  • Individual of Interest:

Founded in 1795 by a member of the Sombra family. The intent was that the site was to be a trading outpost for dealings with the native inhabitants of the area, most particularly those living in Ciudadela. Over time docks in other areas would become more accessable and shortcut Las Sombras' value as a trading facility.

Las Sombras primary industry in its modern incarnation is as a tourism facility for individuals wanting to play in the artificial lake created by the San An Dam. In this capacity it has numerous campsites along with several gated communities full of homes for weekend and vacation residents, including long time "lake houses." These homes are often owned by people who live and work in Hightown or even outside the San Andreas area alltogether. As a consequence of this part-time population Las Sombras spends much of the year as a sort of shadow-city, a shell of a larger town which a few lonely spirits inhabit and watch over.

Counterpoint to this idyllic part time existance, and the vaccum it leaves, the town has also gained a life housing facilities needed for various aspects of water resource managment for the lake, along with housing the personell necessarry for that work and maintenance on the Dam itself.

San Dimas[]

San Dimas
  • Mayor: Rufus Carlin
  • Chief of Police: Chuck De Nomolos
  • Individual of Interest:

Founded in 1837 on what was essentially a whim of William Salvador Preston, the Prince of the San Andreas area, San Dimas was an early precursor to the later Hightown. It remains one of the more affluent areas outside of Hightown proper, with many gated communities and private schools. Even the San Dimas public schools are better funded than many in the Oldtown area, and the entire system posesses something of the "valley feel."

San Dimas was the seat of the Prince's power during his rule, and as a Ventrue Invictus he made his will nearly absolute within the city limits with regards to the mortal populous. Even after his overthrow he managed to retain domain over San Dimas due to his personal power and control- though the court he had once held there became more and more isolated, ultimately making the town a guilded cell for the insane elder. Those who believe Preston to have willingly vanished believe it was, ultimately, the isolation engendered by his own insanity and control that drove him to torpor or exile. Those who believe that foul play led to his destruction or torpor again suspect his insulation from kindred society enabled him to be cut off enough to be taken down.
