Percy and Harold and Other Stories, also known as Volume 5 in New Zealand and Percy Proves a Point in the US, is a UK/US/AUS/NZ VHS featuring eight second season episodes narrated by Ringo Starr and George Carlin (US Only). It was re-released in 1991 under the name The Runaway and other stories. The US release was distributed by Britt Allcroft in 1992, Strand Home Video in 1993, Time-Life in 1994, Video Treasures in 1995, Lyrick Studios in 1997, Anchor Bay Entertainment in 2005 and released on DVD by Twentieth Century Fox in 2006 and Lionsgate in 2008. It was rereleased by Universal Studios Home Entertainment In 2015.

  • Some copies of the 1988 Australian release included a fan card.
  • A cassette tape was included with some VHS releases for a limited time. It featured the following songs:

  4. Harold the Helicopter
  • The Intro used in the VHS is the Season 3 Intro.

Goofs[]

  • The back cover of the 1991 Australian release has a photo from Percy Runs Away, but that episode is not on this video.
  • On the Australian release, Terence's nameboard is absent after Percy Takes the Plunge and Better Late Than Never, as is Bertie after Dirty Work.
  • The re-release features a photo from No Joke for James, but that episode is not on the release.
  • The image on the front cover of the 1988 Australian release is mirrored.
  • The end credits on the DVD are from the 1993 release of Tenders and Turntable and Other Stories.
  • A cassette tape was included with some VHS releases. It featured the following songs:
