Narrator: "It was Halloween night in Ponyville. The moon shone brightly, and the stars twinkled in the night sky.

The children's Halloween party was over. But while the children slept, all the animals were kept very busy.

Spike was alone at the library when Hoity Toity arrived. He was still in his Halloween costume."

Hoity Toity: "You are to collect flour from the mill and take it to the bakery."

Narrator: "He boomed."

Hoity Toity: "You must work with Discord. The town needs its morning toast, and Princess Celestia and I need our English muffins."

Narrator: "He added sternly."

Hoity Toity: "So I'll have no mishaps tonight."

Narrator: "Spike didn't want to work with Discord, but he wanted to be really useful.

When Spike arrived at the station, he couldn't see Discord at all. Discord was up to his old tricks. He rolled up behind Spike and went..."

Discord: "BOO!"

Discord: "Trust a silly old dragon to be scared on Halloween!"

Narrator: "Discord sneered."

Spike: "I'm not a scared dragon!"

Narrator: "Said Spike firmly."

Discord: "We'll see!"

Narrator: "Oiled Discord.

Spike and Discord headed for the flour mill. Discord teased Spike with every step.

When they arrived at the woods, Discord cried,"

Discord: "It's the haunted forest!"

Narrator: "And he called out,"

Discord: "Whooooooooooooo! Spike!"

Narrator: "In a spooky voice."

Spike: "Stop it!"

Narrator: "Said Spike crossly. But the breeze blew and the branches creaked. Discord's teasing made it seem spooky indeed.

Then they came to the abandoned mine. The buildings were distorted, and they could hear a banging noise."

Spike: "What was that?"

Narrator: "Cried Spike."

Discord: "Sounds like the ghost looking for a dragon to scare!"

Spike: "Well, I'm not scared!"

Narrator: "Said Spike. But he wished he felt as brave as he sounded.

Spike and Discord had to stop at a red signal. It was next to a twisted old tree. The wind whistled, and Spike heard a strange cry. Suddenly, Spike felt something touch his back."

Discord: "Look out!"

Narrator: "Cried Discord."

Discord: "The ghost is after your scales!"

Spike: "Fire and scales!"

Narrator: "Gasped Spike, and he let out a frightening whistle."

Discord: "Scared dragon! Scared dragon!"

Narrator: "Discord teased. Spike was very cross with Discord. He wanted to pay him back for all his teasing.

Spike and Discord arrived at the flour mill. Spike rolled up to collect the flour. Then Spike had an idea."

Spike: "We'll see who's a scared dragon."

Narrator: "He puffed. Spike biffed the changelings out of the way, and rolled up under the chute himself. When Spike puffed out the other side, he was covered from head to toe in pure white flour."

Spike: "Ooooooooh!"

Narrator: "He said spookley."

Discord: "It's a ghost!"

Narrator: "Cried Discord."

Discord: "It's come to get me!"

Spike: "Stop!"

Narrator: "Cried Spike."

Spike: "It's just me!"

Narrator: "But Discord was nowhere to be seen. After Discord had gone, the mill seemed very quietly. But there was still work to do."

Spike: "The town needs its bread."

Narrator: "Thought Spike."

Spike: "And Hoity Toity needs his English muffins."

Narrator: "Spike arranged the changelings into one long line, and he set off for the bakery all alone.

As Spike arrived at the twisty tree, he wish he could go faster. But it was a very long line, and he had to go slowly. Because he was going so slowly, Spike could see that the tree wasn't spooky at all."

Spike: "It was just a tree."

Narrator: "He gasped."

Spike: "And the strange cry was just an owl."

Narrator: "Spike was relieved.

Spike chugged towards the abandoned mines, he could still hear the spooky banging. He looked to his left, and then to his right, and he saw what was making the noise."

Spike: "It's just an old door."

Narrator: "He gasped."

Spike: "The wind is making it crash."

Narrator: "Finally, Spike reached the old woods. The breeze still blew, and the branches creaked. Spike took a big brave puff. But without Discord's teasing, Spike could see that the haunted forest was actually Big Macintosh's favorite forest."

Spike: "It's not scary at all."

Narrator: "Cried Spike.

Spike arrived at the bakery. He was tired, but happy."

Discord: "OH! It's the ghost, sir!"

Narrator: "Discord told Hoity Toity."

Discord: "And it's come to get me!"

Hoity Toity: "That's not a ghost!"

Narrator: "Boomed Hoity Toity."

Hoity Toity: "That's Spike! He's a really useful dragon! Spike, you have done a splendid job."

Narrator: "Hoity Toity said."

Hoity Toity: "You deserve an extra special bath."

Spike: "Thank you, sir!"

Narrator: "Puffed Spike proudly. And while Hoity Toity waited for the first batch of English muffins, Spike looked forward to telling his friends his Discord Halloween story."
