Freedom Force was known as the Mutant Liberation Front when it was created.

Freedom Force's orginall members were: Beast, Bishop, Dazzler, Mimic, and Thunderbird. They were created so that the human public would see mutants as heroes, but very few people sincerely thought they really were heroes. The base they had was a mansion in San Fransico, that was first supposed to be used as a back up White House.
