Kin: Hi kids, and welcome to FriendTales. I'm Kin.
McGee: And I'm (sniffs)... McGee.
Kin: And were here... (Kin can't help looking at McGee and seeing how sad he was) Uh, McGee? Something wrong?
McGee: I'm fine Kin.
Kin: You don't look fine to me. Come on, you can tell me. What's that behind your back?
McGee: Uh nothing!
Kin: Nah theres something behind your back.
McGee: Oh Kin! Im in big trouble! [Shows a broken and bent up slinky] See this?
Kin: It's uhh..
McGee: Slinky. It's a slinky Kin. You know my dad.
McGee: Well he loves playing with this slinky, just loves it. Have you ever been to the San Francisco toy fair?
Kin: No, but I have heard of it.
McGee: Well, he won this slinky at a ring game.
Kin: Well that explains how he got it but how did it break?
McGee: You're looking at him. I was curious to see how far i can stretch it so stretched it from the door in my room. It let go of the knob and flung through my window and that's when it got all tangled! I tried fixing it, but I only manage to make it worse!
Kin: Oh. So what did you're dad say?
McGee: He doesn't know and he can't know! He loves this slinky and if he sees what I did to it, who knows what's he gonna do to me! He won't even love me anymore! I can't go back home Kin! I just can't back home! Mind if I live with you for rest of my life?
Kin: Calm down buddy! You know, this reminds me a letter we just got.
McGee: How did I know you were gonna say that?
Kin: It is our 27th show. Lets see It's from Felix Winkler from Grinnell, Iowa and he knows that it's horrible to steal but he's been stealing anyway. He feels bad about it now but he doesn't know if he can go back home, or school, or anywhere!
McGee: Woah! That's worse than breaking your dad's slinky. What's he gonna do Kin? What's he gonna do?
Kin: I'll tell ya what's he gonna do. He's gonna listen to the famous bible story of the prodigal son.
McGee: Oh yeah I heard of that. But wait a minute! That's too short. And we have a whole DVD to fill.
Kin: True. But our version isn't. Felix, it's time to pay a visit to the wonderful wizard of wazz.
McGee: (Grows a smile) Ooh! Can he fix my slinky?
Kin: Roll the film.
McGee: Oh, that was the happiest ending ever!
Kin: I'm glad you liked it McGee.
McGee: Oh I loved it! Especially the part where Darby and his friends battled the wicked witch! Can we watch it again?
Kin: Sorry, pal. There's not much time. [Kin and McGee walk over to Eddy's monitor] Were here with Eddy to talk about what we learned today. [Wears noise cancelling headphones]
Howdy, folks! My name is eddy!
Got some morals for ya' hope you're ready!
Live and laugh! Live and Leaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarn!
Kin: [takes headphones off] Now, Darby took away his dad's money beacuse he thought it would make him happier. But it didn't, and when Darby realized that, he couldn't go home because he was afraid his dad wouldn't love him anymore after what he did.
McGee: Well, what's that have to do with us?
Kin: Well the story of the prodigal son tells us how God loves everyone.
McGee: You're losin' me pal.
Kin: Eddy? What's your say?
Eddy: Ahem! "How great is the love the father has lavished on us, that we should be called CHILDREN OF GOD!" 1st John 3:1
McGee: Still don't get it.
Kin: You see McGee, Darby's dad in our story is like god, and like god his love has no limits. Just like our loved ones.
McGee: So you're saying my dad will forgive me no matter what?
McGee: Oh good. Because the other day I was plaing with his yo-yo. [shows the yo yo busted up and cut off]
Kin: You should try being more careful. [piece of the yo yo rolls off] Um, well Felix, I hope this solves your problem. And yours McGee. That's all the time we have today. And remember: forgiveness is everywhere, just like God.
McGee: See you next time!
