A series of albums, offering selected material from NRBQ's extensive collection of self-recorded live shows. The "Froggy" in question is John DeAngelis, who listened to the tapes and chose which songs to include. Froggy the Gremlin, pictured on the album cover, was a mischievous puppet on the Andy Devine children's show "Andy's Gang" who would trick the human characters into saying and doing silly or embarrassing things.

Apparently John was talking once while NRBQ were performing, and Terry, alluding to the character, yelled "Shut up, Froggy!" in a humorous attempt to end the distraction. The nickname stuck.

As of 2006, the double-cd Volume 1 of the series has been released, and Volume 2 is in the works.
