[edit] Wars of the Fulna
The following information is based upon the source Wars of the Fulna. Its accuracy is disputed.
The origination of the Fulna is unknown, but by -174371, they had established themselves as a universe-dominating power. In this year, they declared war upon an ancient civilization whose name is a mystery. The war began with the ambush at Olnast, formerly the capital of this civilization. After a long, brutal battle, the Fulna overpowered the enemy fleet.
During the war with the ancient civilization, the Fulna used powerful antimatter plasma to completely eliminate matter from large swaths of their universe, Fulnaplex. These sectors are known as the ruined sectors and contain up to a quarter of the universe. They remain devoid of matter but for a few particles that diffused into them.
The Fulna thus united the entire universe of Fulnaplex, destroying their last major rivals. They then turned the focus of their aggression to a nearby universe called Pentles. The Fulna fleet poured into the universe through a wormhole they had established, but they were met by a resistance far more powerful than they had expected. Psarktur, the leader of the Fulna, decided that the Fulna should test their new Universe Bomb against Pentles. The Fulna fleet evacuated the universe, and a warhead delivered the Bomb to the center of Pentles. The entire universe was destroyed.
The Fulna next attacked Picha. This universe was larger than both Pentles and Fulnaplex. However, once again, the Fulna underestimated their enemies, and, once again, they failed to conquer Picha. Psarktur ordered the construction of a second Universe Bomb with even more destructive power than its predecessor. Picha exploded and its shards dispersed through the Interuniversal Void.

The Fulna, now having failed twice, attacked the universal chain in the year 0. There, the shadow of the Fulna fell upon world after world in the Sommur-Kai Universe:
"There came the darkest shadow of all, falling over all things known, consuming everything in its unfathomable darkness. The Fulna, the shadows, instantly hungered for death. Such was their hunger that they lived, if one could call their existence a life, in wait for blood, for when it was spilled they drew their power from it, from pain, from agony, from death. And so they ravaged the universe."
The Fulna eventually reached the Hudnar, the favored race of the Kruktur, and thus incurred the wrath of Zakruktur. The war resulted in the defeat of the Fulna and their death machine and the permanent imprisonment of Psarktur on Fulnavaith. The Fulna retreated back to Fulnaplex to plan their next move.

In 13861, the new Sriixo Empire found itself in an unwinnable war against the Vaarq Tribe. With his homeworld destroyed, Veshvuun, leader of the Sriixo, decided to open the interuniversal portal on Xon. He believed the Fulna, who were supposedly behind the gate, would aid his cause if he opened the portal. Thus, the Fulna were once again unleashed.
The Fulna threw their support behind the Sriixo and attacked the Core Federation, which was a member of the Vaarq Tribe's coalition against the Sriixo. Within 2 years, the Federation was reduced to only one world, Phyroz. Meanwhile, the Sriixo destroyed the Iisumesk Imperial Fleet and completely conquered the once-glorious empire.
The Fulna and Sriixo partitioned the western half of the Serpent Universe between themselves and their allies the Chrkha League, and the Fulna continued their assault on the Hudnar Empire in the east. At Sihudnar, however, the Hudnar dealt the Fulna a devastating blow. The Fulna recovered and besieged and conquered Bonodak from the Hudnar's allies, the Senfunican Empire. The Fulna next attempted a move that would result in disaster. They struck at Phyroz, the last free world of the Core Federation and also the most heavily fortified in the universe. The Fulna failed to take the world. As the Siege of Phyroz came to an end, the Hudnar destroyed the Fulna fleet at Arksann.
The Fulna advance was broken, and their lines fell back to Vai, now called Fulnacast. There, the Coalition was able to defeat Terotroth, the Fulna flagship, with the aid of a Zantruk, and sent the Fulna back into their own universe, sealing the interuniversal portal behind them.

The Fulna species are interdimensional entities. The only other such species is the Vesh'm N'vuk. This means that they exist in several different "dimensions" at once, having the capability of being completely invulnerable when on the defensive. Their technological level is exceeded only by that of the Kruktur.
