UPDATE: Offer has been made on teaching position. Thank you for your interest in the position of Assistant Professor of Geography at West Virginia University specializing in Human Geography with concentrations in either development, planning, urban geography or Africa. We had a very large number of very well qualified applicants and several have been interviewed via telephone and/or brought to Morgantown for a campus visit. We have kept all applications active until the position was formally filled. As of this date an offer has been made and has been accepted for the Human Geography position. The department thanks you for both your interest in the program and for applying for the position. Although this position is now filled you may, however, be interested to know that the department has just been informed that it will receive an additional non-tenure track teaching appointment with a four-four class load. The position is renewable annually and is expected to extend for a three-year period.
