  • Narrator: Oliver and Stepney were busy engines, who worked on the coal yards. They were really useful engines. One day, The Fat Controller came to see Oliver and Stepney. He had some important news.
  • The Fat Controller: Oliver, Stepney.
  • Narrator: He said.
  • The Fat Controller: You are to work with another engine.
  • Oliver: Oh, thank you, sir.
  • Narrator: Said Oliver.
  • Stepney: I would be Henry, or Old Stuck Up, or Toby, or Stanley, or anybody else.
  • Narrator: Stepney said. And the two engines puffed away to the coal yards. When they got there, there was a diesel smirking into the yards.
  • Oliver: It must be...
  • Narrator: The diesel appeared.
  • Oliver and Stepney: (screaming) OLD STUCK UP!!
  • Narrator: Screamed Oliver and Stepney. The diesel that was smirking into the yards turned out to be Old Stuck Up.
  • Old Stuck Up: That's ME! I am here to help you. The Fat Controller sent me here.
  • Oliver: We never liked you!
  • Narrator: Said Oliver crossly
  • Old Stuck Up: I am to pull these heavy trucks. They shoudn't make fun of me! I will show them not to! (evil laugh)
  • Narrator: And Old Stuck Up pulled away to the coaling plant. Later, the trucks were pushed under the coal hopper where the coal was loaded onto them.
  • Old Stuck Up: I will show them not to play tricks on me!
  • Narrator: Sniggered Old Stuck Up. At last, all the trucks were loaded with coal. They were noisy.

Trouble In The Shed

Terence The Tractor

Togetherness (song)

Working, working, working together

Huff and puff through all sorts of weather

Edward pushes from the back

Helping Henry up the track

They're working, working, working together

Friends for now and friends forever

As a team, they're tops and yes!

That's called togetherness

Henry worries about his freight

Afraid he might be running late

Edward thinks he's getting old

But together they're strong

They're brave and bold

Working, working, working together

Huff and puff through all sorts of weather

Edward pushes from the back

Helping Henry up the track

They're working, working, working together

Friends for now and friends forever

As a team, they're tops and yes!

That's called togetherness

Working Together!

Edward and the Serch For Molly

  • Narrator: Edward the Blue Engine and Molly the Yellow Engine are friends. Molly is the pride of the flour mill. Molly knows all the rules and follows them.

Skarloey and The Diesel

  • Narrator: The narrow gauge engines always work hard. They try their best to get their work done without confusion and delay. One day, Mr. Percival came to see Skarloey.
  • Mr. Percival: Skarloey, today you are to deliver coal around the island. You were going to work with James, but he has broken down and is now at the repair yard. So, now you will work with The D261 Diesel. It is very important you deliver the coal on time. So, I'll have no mishaps today.
  • Skarloey: Yes, sir.
  • Narrator: Said Skarloey. But, he wasn't happy. Skarloey didn't like The Diesel 261. He was always being rude and always showing off.
  • Skarloey: It's going to be a long day.
  • Narrator: Said Skarloey as he puffed away. Skarloey arrived at the wharf. The Diesel pulled up next to him.
  • The Diesel: Well, well, well. The little red Skarloey.
  • Narrator: Said The Diesel in his oily voice.
  • Skarloey: We must deliver coal and no tricks!
  • The Diesel: Tricks? From me? I'm just here to work with you.
  • Narrator: But, Skarloey didn't believe The Diesel and the two engines puffed off the coal yard. The Diesel teased Skarloey with every click and every clack. They had to stop at a signal. It was next to a pine tree. Suddenly, a bird came out of the tree flew right below Skarloey. Skarloey was so scared that he led out a big wheesh of steam WHEEEEEEESH!
  • The Diesel: What's that horrible smell?
  • Narrator: The Diesel teased.
  • The Diesel: Oh, it's just a stinky red steamie!
  • Narrator: This made Skarloey cross. He wanted to get back at The Diesel, but he wasn't sure how. He kept on teasing him. He was having so much fun that he forgot to full up with more diesel oil. Soon, Skarloey and The Diesel arrived at the coal yard.
  • The Diesel: I bet I can fill my trucks up first and deliver my train on time. If, I can do that maybe The Fat Controller will let me stay on the island forever.
  • Narrator: Then there was trouble, The Diesel ran out of diesel oil! Then, coal spilled from the coal hopper! It fell all over The Diesel!
  • The Diesel: (coughs) Oh, no! The Fat Controller thinks I'm late!
  • Narrator: cried The Diesel. Skarloey laughed.
  • Skarloey: Serves you right Diesel! For teasing me and being very rude to us over the years.
  • Narrator: Skarloey filled his trucks up with coal and puffed away to make his deliveries. The Diesel had to wait to get more diesel oil. Skarloey was having a wonderful time. He delivered the coal to all the right places and he was on time. Soon, Rusty arrived with more diesel oil for The Diesel. Soon, he was refuelled and The Diesel filled his trucks and left, but now he was late.
  • Skarloey: Only one more delivery.
  • Narrator: Skarloey was feeling happy again. He puffed into the wharf with the last coal trucks. Mr. Percival was there.
  • Mr. Percival: Well Done Skarloey! You have worked very hard. I'm very proud of you.
  • Skarloey: Thank you sir!
  • Narrator: Later, The Diesel arrived at the wharf, very late. The Fat Controller was very cross.
  • The Fat Controller: Diesel, you have caused confusion and delay! You were late with your deliveries and you teased Skarloey! He proved today that he is useful and reliable!
  • Narrator: The Diesel was embarrassed.
  • The Fat Controller: For your punishment for being naughty, you will be in the smelter shed for two months!
  • The Diesel: NO! NOT 2 MONTHS!
  • The Fat Controller: Yes! Two Months!
  • Narrator: Duck arrived to see The Diesel and chuckled.
  • Duck: Well, well, well, Diesel was in trouble now!
  • Narrator: He said and buffered up to The Diesel.
  • Duck: Let's take you home.
  • Narrator: And he took The Diesel away. Skarloey was very happy. There was no more teasing from The Diesel.
