Molly the yellow engine has been living on Sodor for a few years, and loves every detail of it. Her most favorite part of it was the forest.

One foggy night, Molly was journeying home to Norramby branchline from Brendam Docks after working with Donald, Douglas and Salty. They had been telling her stories of strange and spooky events that occur when fog was around. "I'll just take the forest route home," she said to herself.

As she ventured deeper through the forest, she saw the so seeming harmless trees seemed to take on horrifying shapes. Suddenly, she felt her coal supply run low. Her driver and fireman shunted her into a siding for the night. "Your tender's nearly empty and we have very little coal left, we can't send an SOS, sadly, we'll have to wait till the morning," said Molly's driver. Molly's driver and fireman found shelter in a nearby cottage. Molly was all alone in the forest.

Just then, she heard a faint puffing sound! And it sounded like the sound was coming on the rails next to her. Then she saw a faint, steamy object coming on the other line towards her. It was completely white in color and steam rose from either side of it; it didn't seem to notice Molly as it passed her and carried on down the line. "A GHOST! HELP!" cried Molly, but no one heard her.

The next morning, Molly was very tired from lack of sleep. "What's the matter, Molly?" asked her driver. "I saw a ghost last night!" whined Molly, "it was completely white in color and had horrible steam coming from it!" Her driver and fireman laughed. "There's no such thing as a ghost!" Soon, Trevor the traction engine arrived with a cart of coal for Molly. Her firebox was burning brightly, and she steamed quickly away.

Molly met Thomas, Percy and Emily at Knapford and told then about her encounter with the ghost. Things went worse as Diesel arrived at the station. "I heard the ghost of a steamie that crashed in the forest many years ago still haunts that forest!" he said in his oily voice and rolled away. "To the timetable, we're not working tonight; maybe we can go watch for the ghost!" Thomas suggested. "Really?" asked Molly. "Of course," said Thomas confidently, "we're your friends." But Emily was worried.

"What if the ghost wants to scrap us?" asked Emily. "We'll be there to protect you! Don't worry," replied Thomas. "Okay," said Emily hesitantly. That night, Thomas and Emily were to look on the mainline, Percy searching the branchlines, and Molly searched the forest.

Thomas and Emily looked up and down, and they almost had a run-in with Alfred the Holden B12/3 and the express. "What are you tank engines doing at this time of night?" sneered Alfred. Thomas and Emily shook. Alfred was scary to them. "You're a long way from the branchline, are you?" "Uhhh, we're on our way to-" Thomas couldn't finish his sentence. "Brendam docks!" said Emily hastily, and she and Thomas ran off. "This is strange," thought Alfred, "very strange indeed."

Molly was looking in the sidings at the forest. James was watching her whilst his load of lumber was being loaded. "Why are Thomas and Emily running around the mainline?" demanded James. "I don't know," said Molly, "Thomas and Emily are busy engines. They puff all over the island." This made James cross. "Why are you puffing around the forest?" "Because, as I said, Thomas and Emily are busy engines." "Where are they busy?" "You're a big engine, James, why don't you go look?" James really didn't like this. He stared hard at Molly as she puffed off.

Percy was searching Ffarqhuar branch line, but he didn't see Diesel spying on him. Thomas, Percy and Emily showed up at the forest. Emily was tired and grumpy. "I'm tired..." she yawned. "Please stay up a few more minutes!" said Thomas. "I sleep whenever I want!" retorted Emily. The two engines began arguing. "Be quiet, you two!" snapped Molly angrily. "I knew it!" said a voice. Thomas and Emily knew who's voice it was.

James, Diesel and Alfred rolled up in front of the four engines, and with them was Sir Topham Hatt. He was cross. "Thomas, Percy, Emily and Molly," he said, "James, Diesel and Alfred have told me that you're not on your branchlines, and are acting suspicious. What is going on?" "We're sorry, sir," said Molly sheepishly. Before she could continue, a great cloud of steam rose about twenty meters away from where they were on the track and a puffing noise could be heard from the steam and from it came a white, steam engine with smoke emerging from it. The engines were surprised and shocked.

The ghost stopped next to James and Alfred. "What are you doing here?" it asked. "Why are you here Mr. Ghost?" asked Emily. "Ghost?" Sir Topham Hatt laughed and produced a flashlight and shone it on the ghost to reveal a friendly smile on the smoke box and a white boiler and cab. "Hello old friend!" said the engine. "E-Edwin?" cried Sir Topham Hatt surprised, "It's been so long!"

Molly was stunned herself. "You know each other?" "Edwin was my first steam engine," explained Sir Topham Hatt, "when I took charge of Sodor, I didn't have the funds to mend Edwin, so I kept him locked in a shed to avoid him being scrapped. "I'll get you sent to the Sodor Steamworks to be mended," he added, looking at Edwin's rusty side rods and wheels. "I'm sorry for startling you," Edwin said to Thomas. "Hello. My name's Thomas," the blue tank engine said, "and this is Percy, Emily, Alfred, James and Diesel." James, Diesel and Alfred were too frightened to utter a word.

The next morning, Thomas and Molly brought Edwin to the Sodor Steamworks. Thomas liked going to the Steamworks. There was hustle and bustle, sparks and spanners. It was lively, friendly, and there was Victor. Thomas liked Victor. Sir Topham Hatt spoke to Edwin. "Welcome, Edwin, to the Sodor Steamworks. Victor will make sure you'll be a Really Useful Engine once more." "Of course, sir," said Victor, "anything for you, sir. I will do my very, very best! We all will!" Suddenly, there was a crash from Kevin the road crane, he accidentally dropped some pipes he was carrying. "Sorry, boss!" cried Kevin, and he laughed nervously. "Uh, I'm sorry, sir. Very slippy hook," said Victor sheepishly. "I see," said Sir Topham Hatt. "Don't worry, Edwin," said Thomas encouragingly, "Victor's the best!"

Two weeks later, Edwin was a Really Useful Engine once again. He was repainted into a coat of North Western Railway black, with the number nineteen painted on his bunker side. Edwin now works on Thomas' branchline, pulling goods trains with Stanley, and takes Annie and Clarabel when Thomas is ill or away. He is firm friends with Thomas, Percy, Emily and Molly. He sometimes helps out on the mainline, when they're short of an engine. The others teased him at first and called him "Molly's Ghost", but Edwin doesn't mind since he did give her a fright a weeks ago.

Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum (What's wrong with me?)
Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum (Why do I feel like this?)
Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum (I'm going crazy now!)
Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum

No more gas, in the red, can't even get it started
Nothing heard, nothing said, can't even speak about it
On my life, on my head, don't wanna think about it
Feels like I'm going insane, yeah

It's a thief in the night to come and grab you
It can creep up inside you and consume you
A disease of the mind, it can control you
It's too close for comfort

Put on your pretty lies, you're in the city of wonder
Ain't gon' play nice, watch out you might just go under
Better think twice, your train of thought will be altered
So if you must falter be wise

Your mind's in disturbia, it's like the darkness is light
Disturbia, am I scaring you tonight?
Disturbia, ain't used to what you like
Disturbia, disturbia

Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum
Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum
Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum
Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum

Faded pictures on the wall, it's like they talking to me
Disconnecting on calls, the phone don't even ring
I gotta get out or figure this sh** out
It's too close for comfort, oh

It's a thief in the night to come and grab you
It can creep up inside you and consume you
A disease of the mind it can control you
I feel like a monster, oh

Put on your pretty lies, you're in the city of wonder
Ain't gon' play nice, watch out you might just go under
Better think twice, your train of thought will be altered
So if you must falter be wise

Your mind's in disturbia, it's like the darkness is light

Put on your pretty lies, you're in the city of wonder
Ain't gon' play nice, watch out you might just go under
Better think twice, your train of thought will be altered
So if you must falter be wise
