Transcript

Narrator: "It was full speed ahead in Ponyville. All the animals were running on time. They wanted to finish their work quickly, because tonight was Halloween. The animals love seeing the children in their Halloween costumes. And the animals love to hear tales of ghostly animals and scary creatures.

That evening, Hoity Toity came to the library."

Hoity Toity: "Spike and Rarity, you must go to the smelter's yard."

Narrator: "He said."

Hoity Toity: "An important delivery of iron must be collected right away."

Spike and Rarity: "Yes, sir."

Narrator: "They puffed. Pipsqueak thought the smelter's yard was spooky. He was worried about his friends."

Pipsqueak: "Look out for ghosts."

Narrator: "He said nervously."

Pipsqueak: "It is Halloween."

Spike: "There's no such things as ghosts."

Narrator: "Spike said cheerfully."

Rarity: "It's just silly make-believe."

Narrator: "Added Rarity. And they headed off to the smelter's yard.

The sun was setting, and it was getting dark."

Spike: "Imagine being afraid of Halloween."

Narrator: "Puffed Spike."

Rarity: "Or the smelter's yard."

Narrator: "Sniffed Rarity."

Spike: "Pah!"

Narrator: "Added Spike. Spike and Rarity enjoyed feeling brave.

But when they got to the smelter's yard, it was very spooky."

Rarity: "Oh my!"

Narrator: "Whispered Rarity."

Spike: "Oh dear!"

Narrator: "Hissed Spike. They puffed slowly through the piles of jagged steal and twisted scrap. The air grew hotter, and the smoke grew thicker. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were lurking nearby. The two fillies saw a chance to a couple of animals.

When Spike and Rarity rolled by, they moaned and groaned."

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon: (Moan and groan)

Narrator: "It sounded spooky."

Rarity: "What was that?"

Narrator: "Asked Rarity."

Rarity: "You said there were no such things as ghosts."

Spike: "Silly make-believe you said."

Narrator: "Gasped Spike. Suddenly, a changeling began to shudder and shake."

Spike: "Fire and scales!"

Narrator: "Cried Spike."

Rarity: "Help!"

Narrator: "Wailed Rarity."

Rarity: "It's a ghost! Let's get away from here!"

Narrator: "They didn't know Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon had been bumping the changeling. The two naughty fillies were having great fun.

Spike and Rarity pulled up to the smelter shed. They gasped at the ghostly shadows and fizzing sparks. Their feet felt as if they were frozen. But they had to go inside."

Spike: "I hope the ghost hasn't gone in there."

Narrator: "Said Spike."

Rarity: "Me too."

Narrator: "Quivered Rarity. And they both rolled slowly into the smelting shed.

Inside, chains clanked and strange shadows danced across the walls."

Spike: "Must be brave, must be brave."

Narrator: "Spike puffed. But it was spooky.

Rarity was turning around ready to arrange some changelings. Suddenly, a great whoosh of sparks lit up the shed."

Rarity: "Bust my hooves!"

Narrator: "Cried Rarity. Rarity was scared. She didn't notice the huge white tarp. It fell covering her from head to tail."

Rarity: "The ghost! It's got me!"

Narrator: "She raced away as fast as her legs could pump. Spike thought Rarity was the ghost, and he raced out of the smelting shed."

Spike: "The ghost is after me!"

Narrator: "Cried Spike. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon thought Rarity was the ghost too, and they raced away. Spike was right behind them, and Rarity was right behind Spike."

Rarity: "Help!"

Narrator: "Rarity cried."

Rarity: "The ghost has got me!"

Narrator: "Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Spike and Rarity raced towards the library.

The library was quiet and peaceful. All the animals were fast asleep. Spike's whistle soon woke them up."

Pipsqueak: "It's Spike!"

Narrator: "Cried Pipsqueak."

Pipsqueak: "Something must be wrong!"

Narrator: "Suddenly, he saw Spike, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon racing into the yard."

Pipsqueak: "Stop!"

Narrator: "He cried. Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon and Spike stopped just in time."

Spike: "The ghost is after us!"

Narrator: "Whistled Spike. Pipsqueak was scared. But just then, Rarity raced under a signal and the tarp flew off."

Pipsqueak: "That's no ghost!"

Narrator: "Said Pipsqueak."

Pipsqueak: "That's Rarity!"

Narrator: "The animals didn't feel scared anymore, but they did feel foolish.

Hoity Toity arrived wearing his pajamas."

Hoity Toity: "What is all this fuss and bother?!"

Narrator: "He boomed."

Hoity Toity: "It has caused confusion and delay!"

Spike: "But, sir."

Narrator: "Cried Spike."

Spike: "The changelings were rattling."

Rarity: "And we heard moaning."

Narrator: "Said Rarity."

Spike: "And groaning."

Narrator: "Added Spike. Hoity Toity looked at Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon."

Hoity Toity: "Do you know anything about this?"

Narrator: "He asked sternly."

Silver Spoon: "It was us, sir."

Narrator: "Silver Spoon mumbled."

Hoity Toity: "For your punishment, you go back and collect the iron at once!"

Narrator: "Said Hoity Toity."

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon: "Yes, sir."

Narrator: "Said Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, and they rumbled away.

Whenever Spike and Rarity went back to the smelter's yard, they knew that there was nothing to be scared of. After all, there is no such things as ghosts. It was all just silly make-believe."

(A ghost pops up)

Ghost: "Ooooooh!"
