The Hida are strong and powerful fighters, and produce some of the most resilient samurai in all Tamekiriku, for the express purpose of beating back frequent raids by the creatures of Ikijigoku. Some may think their training is overly harsh even for samurai, but the Hida know that the shadowy creatures north of the Kaiu Mountains offer no mercy to anyone, so they are resolved not to show any mercy either.
