Hiro The Hero is a fan-fiction episode.

Hiro enjoys working on Sodor. He also likes to help out his friends. One day, Hiro sees a big accident on the line. Thomas and Percy have collided! As a result, they are unable to make their deliveries. Hiro has jobs to do, but he can't ignore a friend in need. He wants to help Thomas and Percy, so he decides to help them instead of doing his jobs. Hiro, who believes that he still has time to do his jobs, decides to help the other engines too. He helps Gordon up the hill when Edward is unable to be his back engine, Whiff and Scruff take their heavy load of garbage to Whiff's Waste Dump, and Salty take his heavy load of fish to Brendam Docks before the boat leaves when his engine breaks down. By the end of the afternoon, all the engines have done their jobs except Hiro! Hiro rushes to do his jobs, but arrives late. Even though Hiro is late, Sir Topham Hatt thanks him for helping the other engines, as he likes seeing really useful engines on his railway, and today, no engine has been more useful than Hiro. Hiro tells him, "A friend in need is a friend indeed!"
